See how she is not wearing in ear monitors. Her ability to hear herself perfectly and hear the band playing behind her without monitors is something only exceptional old school musicians can do. This woman is a living legend. You can see how genuine her smile is as she sings and faces the audience; the stage welcomed it’s true queen back. Long live Agnetha ❤️
Well she is only singing live in the verses not the chorus😊 She told (Aftonbladet) Sweden’s biggest newspaper this after the preformance.
@@jaxnasstrom Maybe, but it doesn't take anything away from the OP. I guess they used a lot of voices for the chorus or she overdubbed her voice, like during ABBA time.
Are you a musician? On stage you can barely hear yourself w/o In-Ears or Monitors. There a plenty of monitors on stage, incl. Teleprompters.

It's exactly as javier writes. There are a lot of monitors on stage, but as soon as you move away from them and at the same time you don't have IEM, the brain has to calculate the delay over a distance of 17 m. And this great experienced singer can do it. Please do not forget that ABBA worked the most at a time when microport / 1980 / was a novelty and IEM did not exist for a long time.

yes my sentiments entirely yes she is superlative in own right. Agnetha did admit in loose women interview in 2013 when she came to England that she went for singing lessons again. I was surprised why would she need vocal training again after year of experience her last album was in 2004 and until 2013 when she recorded the duet with Gary Barlow she felt she need to retune her vocal I would imagine,

I think this is Gary's finest achievement ...... persuading Agnetha back into the recording studio and back onto the live stage where she looks so happy. Never thought it would happen again.
Well, this was for a BBC charity event for kids...in 2014. a couple years before the 50th anniversary of when Bjorn and Benny first met, in 2016. I think the decision to record again happened after the 2016 anniversary.

Gary Barlow's introduction where he gently nods and graciously welcomes Agnetha onto the stage was touching. The opening line he sang couldn't have been more perfect and fitting for a legend who has been out of the spotlight for so many years. The minute she began singing, there was no mistaking that voice. Still beautiful.
Glad you said that "catchme". I so agree. Many of the comments are about Agnetha (and, yes, her performance was incredible, magical...I've always been a huge ABBA fan). But I don't believe her performance here could possibly have been a better match with any other singer. I'm just learning about Gary, and he seems to me to be the best male musical talent out of the UK in my time. WOW!

A lot of this performance is playback unfortunately but there are sections that she sings live. It's very recognisable but even so, it is still beautiful to hear her sing live again!
I think her mic was off until 2:03 when you can clearly see she starts singing, then they open the mic, and then she has that O.o look.

We know Gary has sung with some great singers, but the look on his face when she comes out, he knows this is a true legend. That word is said to much for good singers, but its true for her.
Gary is a legend, the respect he shows Agnetha shows he is a true lover of music. This whole performance is a natural antidote to the bullshit of the selfie generation that feel that anyone over 30 is a “has been” - lovely sentiment and the sheer joy of a genuine duet comes through. Yes I think that what stood out to me…Gary Barlow was genuinely honoured to be singing with the beautiful Agnetha. She still radiates that beautiful quality she had years ago. No wonder this duet worked so well…the respect and admiration they have for each other was genuine and they obviously enjoyed performing together.
