Adjust idle control on carburettor
if u actually can''t unscrew the clutch bolt i recomend u remove the spark plug and put a string inside and turn it till u feel it lock.Putting a screw driver into the cylinder might hard the inside and the piston
I removed the pull start and used another wrench to keep the tension on the shaft to remove the clutch bolt. Better method to prevent damage to the piston.

I get a ridge on my pads (towards engine side) as if the clutch bell isn’t deep enough over the pad. Any idea how to fix this?
Can always use a impact too take the clutch bolt off.. you can hold the clutch with hand it’s only 10mm comes off easy..
What is that specialty tool called though? I’ve tried for hours and broken many tools trying to get mine off. Last option is to torch it and see if it frees it.
I have a engine with a bell clutch on will I be able to swap it for the clutch that’s in this video?

How many inches between the holes in the box that holds the clutch?
you put a socket on both sides the flywheel and the clutch and go opposite of eachother that's how you loosen the bolt, not stick a screwdriver in the sparkplug hole that will scratch the cylinder

Its a centrifugal clutch not a gravity clutch but thanks for posting
that little peice on the crank shaft (when you take of the clutch) is called a key-way
you don't realy need that at the clutch side... but you do need it at the flywheel side. Clutch you can fit without it.
Bikes4you Yes, you need a keyway on the clutch side. I had one of these engines fully built up which had a lot of power and could not get the bike to ride, because the crankshaft was actually spinning inside the clutch plate. Once I added the keyway it was all good.
What about clutches with no cotter key
Can you advise on what to do if the new clutch doesn't have a keyway?

@@richardwilson3126 of there's no keyway, then you just don't have to fit the key.
hi when I start my mini moto the back tyer spins and just wants to go plz can any one help
+Yasser Khan check the clutch, if one of the spring is broken then wheel will turn when you start it
Mine does the same when I try to pull the back wheel tries to spin also. I have replaced the clutch, any advice ?
I got 1 of these. When I pull the throttle the bike just revs up it doesn't move do i need a new clutch

@@Jam-gk3kv check for rust inside the the clutch cover also some clutches have different spring tensions intended for higher RPMs double-check that you got the right clutch

Is that one of those performance motors sold on eBay? If it is, then my question really is They don't already come with performance clutches? Otherwise why are you replacing it?

@@valvespercylinder2910 they are much better, the springs are better and does not overheat that quick like in the standard 3 shoe one

the screws on my long thing that is on the clutch are so tight! if i try to turn them out i break my socket. Can anybody help?
hi, spray wd40 on it and leave it for few hours, when you turn them out punch them with the hamer at the same time

cool, good luck, you can also try to heat the bolt, but be careful do not damage the bearing
Take ur pull start off and wedge your flywheel with a screw driver don't put things your cylinder vlol

I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMENT that ANYONE uses any kind of tool to jam their piston to hold a crank.......... The china made "hardened" pistons are Very easy to damage, not to mention the potential damage to the crappy stock cylinder wall... Ill find another post to assist in my CURRENT superbike clutch replacement, lol. A+ for the time it took to make this vid, and ites general idea......
+Christian “CxJx” Martin was just about to say the same thing using anything metal to stop your piston is not advisable as you will dent the head which isnt a major drama but it can lead to worse problems later on what you can do to prevent the crank turning is rather than use a screwdriver try putting a bit of rope in there it will work much better :)
Dom Burton how do you mean rope in there? i'm about to put a sport clutch in there so..
Its what i use as a piston stop because its soft it dosent damage the piston or cylinder works a treat just make sure you get all the rope out and that everythings clean before running the engine
