i love that Stephen came to give his opinion about the items too! I think it helps people learn what works for both parents or just dads, since a lot of people/companies think dads only hold their babies while moms do all things involving baby stuff.

second this !! would love to hear about this or anything else he has to say about his experience as a dad so far :) it’d be super interesting to hear about his experience as a guy in tech taking parental leave like what attitudes his co-workers and stuff have had (i also work in a STEM field and i’ve seen some weird attitudes about taking time off work for a kid and need Stephen’s opinion as our unproblematic king of the dads) ❤️

As a disabled woman that would like to become a parent in the future, I thought this was interesting and helpful. It made me think about products that may help me manage pain and fatigue due to their accessible design. The snoo and the mamaroo would help me a lot . You're such a lovely couple and Grace is lucky to have you as her parents.
I am disabled as well and had my second baby after diagnosis. I don't have alot of money so couldn't afford the fancy stuff but the thing that helped me the most was the car seat that goes right into the stroller! I can't lift much so it was so much easier than having to lug a car seat around! I'd definitely get one of those when the time comes for you!!
Please vote for more reviews by Stephen! Loved his ratings for everything and all the functional advice. Not even close to being a parent but LOOOOOVE this video!
I will say the stroller I got one that is essentially the same thing by Evenflo stroller, it came with a carpet, bassinet and the stroller and it was like 250 at Walmart so if you want the same thing but can afford the 1000 for the one they have its a great option!
I also have the even flow but never cared about a bassinet so I have the one that’s just a stroller and lays flat for 70 and when it comes to a car seat the convertible kind is the way to go cause it’s the only car seat they’ll ever need.
I love my boppy. Most of these videos I have watched people say the boppy wasn’t worth the money but I used it literally every day until my daughter was 2. Now I’m using it for my baby boy. After you’re done having babies it makes a great road trip pillow for adult passengers trying to get comfy for a nap, lol. It’s definitely my #1 most used baby item.
I got a bottle warmer and we don’t use it. It’s faster to just boil some water on the stove and stick it in that. Never really used the boppy as a breast feeding pillow, but we use it a lot now to help support him when he sits

OK, I just have to laugh... because my "baby" is over 30 now. His cradle was set up right beside my bed, and when he would start to stir, I would rock it with my foot.😂So, that was my version of the Snoo. It's amazing what they have for babies now! My favorite was the old fashioned swing that we would wind up. He LOVED this!
I had a baby a few months ago and my mom could not stop laughing at all the new gadgets they have for babies these days. She said " back in my day we just suffered "😂
My "baby" is also over 30 and his favorite as a infant was his hand me down baby swing. He slept in a drawer set up beside my bed until he was ready for his crib ( got that suggestion from my grandmother).
If people would focus on functionality of baby products instead of aesthetic, then you would realize how much cheaper it is to raise a child. You don't need all of the fancy expensive top of the line products, it's pointless.
Exactly! A play mat of 100+ dollars. I used a throw blanket that I already had. Ppl buy into the hype and they also want the designer stuff to show for status. Like if you have the best stuff than you must be a great parent. Stuff and being a good parent do not go hand in hand. But marketing teams want you to believe that they do. So having these videos are good to have.
The most expensive thing about babies are diapers definitely and clothes(even if you buy used) but the clothes to be honest is because they grow out of clothes so fast
Agree 💯%! I used a swing, bouncy chair and rock n play for them to sleep in, until they went into the crib. I was gifted a play mat, but my kids out grew it fast. There is no way I would ever pay $100 for a play mat. Besides, your baby will NEVER remember the toys/activities they used.
As a caregiver I loved the Boppy, we put the infants in them to slightly prop them off, and we would use it to help give an extra support during tummy time. We also loved using it to help with an extra support/cushion for learning to sit.
I have the evenflo 3 in 1 stroller set and love it!! I would say it’s definitely comparable to the one you have but it’s one third of the price and it comes with a car seat that attaches to the stroller. It also has a regular stroller seat attachment that converts to a bassinet. It is amazing and great quality. We used it all over theme parks, pumpkin patches, walks etc and no complaints
Omg.I’m having serious sticker shock on this review (and I have 2 kids 1&4)… $134 for a playmat?? $250 for a swing? $70 for a glorified garbage can? I’m all for quality and tech but not at that price! I know you work hard and want the best for your kiddo but I hope your viewers know you don’t have to spend top dollar to achieve the same… Your hair looks great!!

I loved that this had both of your opinions/views in it! A lot of these I see are just from the moms perspective and it is nice to hear from a dads perspective too!
I love how different every parent and caregiver have reacted to their list! I don’t think we’ve used any of the stuff in your list! Except a breast pump. Used a stiff body pillow to nurse each of my kids. No covers, we all overheat too easily. None of them ever took a bottle, so not bottles or warmer. They nursed or when they were old enough took a regular little cup of BM. No sippy cups either. We didn’t bother with a stroller of any form, used an Ergo carrier for everything. No bouncers, no swings, no playmates at all. Just a thick blanket on our hardwood floors and a body length mirror to look at themselves. No bassinets or playpens. We did just the mattress on the floor. No changing pads or diaper pails either. We cloth diapered so we have a few a travel size wet bags and a couple of large hanging ones for at a home. Same diapers for all three kids from birth to potty training too. But you know what, I see the value and use for each of these items and still enjoy seeing how other parents enjoy them! Plus I adore your little family so much 💜💜💜
I used the Boppy for every breastfeed for the entire 11 months I nursed my son. As a woman with larger breasts, I found it really difficult to nurse while just holding him and the Boppy helped me position him and myself. I loved it!
gotta tell you my favorite part of my weeks recently have been cozying up and snacking in my room catching up on whatever new vlogs i missed bc of work earlier in the week. oddly comforting, like checking up on old friends 💓
I love my milk snob cover. I had my daughter last November. It was perfect for shopping and the winter. I felt like she was covered in her own “face mask” people kept their distance from me and it kept her safe from the northern winter winds. I think it depends on how you use it and what Time of year. And I’m sad you rated the boppy pillow so low. Love boppy pillows! They’re so versatile. I insisted on having two and I dont regret it lol
I didn’t breast feed my son, and the my brest friend is still my most recommended baby item! It gave my back so much support even just holding him, and it was great for guests!! My sister is plus size and it fit around her beautifully 🤗🤗
I had a 30 dollar bouncer and my daughter loved it. She also didn't use it for long enough to justify spending 200 lol so I'm glad we used a super simple inexpensive one.
Love this! Idk if you’ve seen this too but for warming milk, at the daycare I worked at we weren’t allowed to use bottle warmers so we warmed the milk in the storage bag under warm water. It worked so fast and was a lot easier to control the heat. That’s what I do now with my little one. Also I love the diaper pail as well! Amazon has sales on different patterns every once and a while so keep an eye out for that. I got mine for 40$!
Firstly, I think it’s awesome that Stephen has thought about these things critically too. That’s such a great thing for a dad! Secondly, I know everyone is going to have different opinions on baby things, but I’m such a huge fan of the Boppy pillow. It’s great for helping with tummy time for kids with reflux and torticollis. It’s also how I nurse my babies and helps me with posture. Maybe because I’m tall, but I need the baby brought closer to me and just holding her there hurts my arms.
You guys are the sweetest couple! Thanks for doing this together. It's great to see dad's included in sharing their likes and dislikes for baby care. Single dads out there need the support :D
Any thoughts on your baby monitor? I’ve seen it in the background and I’m pretty sure ya’ll have a Nanit, surprised it wasn’t included here because I’m curious if you’ve use the breathing tracking functionality
I would love to Stephen go more in-depth into all things baby! It's been so fun seeing your input on everything, and it would be interesting to get Stephen's side as well
when my son was in daycare she would use a crockpot with water for bottle warming . my son didn't like the comotomo nipple so we used Boon which have a similar silcone and similar shape but adaptable for sippy cup for older. Seriously some stuff the first time is hit or miss and every kid is different so what works for one might not for the next!
Hi! I love your channel(s)! The Boppy was recently recalled because newborns have suffocated when left unattended. I love the Boppy but thought it would be important to share about the recall-so grateful for your channel and content! Love you!
I’m 11 weeks pregnant with my first and I’m so happy you are doing these videos. I’m going to look into the stroller, especially if it doubles as a bassinet. My mom but me in a dresser drawer when I was born, so I know it’s not necessary to have something fancy, but I’m intrigued!
Stephen, I want a re-rate on the boppy pillow 😅 We actually used ours for so much more! It can be great for play time helping to get them into new positions such as kneeling or crawling. Not to mention as a support when they are starting to sit on their own but not fully stable. Highly recommend giving it a second try. Our little girl used it very regularly for the first 6 to 7 months of life.
I think my Brest friend was 1000000/10!! I tried the boppy and hated it. I only used MBF for the first couple months but it made those middle of the night and constant cluster feeds soooo much more bearable
Thought it was cute how at the end it was pointed out how excited Steve gets about these products. I’m not even pregnant yet though we’re going to start trying soon and he’s already excited to learn more about baby products and picking out stuff. Though I think there’s some degree of overlay in his interest for tech and the baby product market.
I wish I could have bought the hatch grow. I just had my first baby and I had no idea how stressful breastfeeding would be. He ended up losing too much weight by his first appointment because I wasn’t producing enough that we had to use a syringe and feeding tube to supplement as he breastfed. It was incredibly stressful and taking him to the doctor to get weight checkups every few days. Having something at home would have eased our minds so much! Next baby I think it will be a must for me!
For anyone reading this…if you have a boppy lounger that has been recalled, please consider donating it to your local animal shelter! Great video y’all!
This is cute!!!! I love how sweet you are to each other🤍🤍 and it great that Stephen is advocating for it to be more normal for men to talk about baby products as well! Good for you guys😍😍
Great advice. One thing I used the nippy for that y’all haven’t gotten to this stage yet but it can be useful for support when the baby starts sitting up on their own.
My way to warm breast milk was to nuke water in the microwave as then place the bottle in the hot water. Same effect, $0 cost and $0 waste (of a product I gave to get rid of post bottle feeding age)
You should totally look into the car seat canopy. It Velcro’s on to the handle on their car seat and can flip up and down like a blanket so it’s easy, it has a thicker outer material but is still soft on the inside. You never drop or forget it because it stays on the seat and is honestly super convenient.
I have a 15 month old and I have some thoughts. You might start to notice a change in the smell situation with the Ubbi once Grace starts eating solids. We still LOVE our Ubbi and you can't smell anything when it's closed up but when you open it to put the next diaper in, you'll get some smell. From what I understand, that's just standard with all diaper pails. The real food poops are just too strong. I didn't use my milk snob covers much either early on (really only if I was taking my baby into the doctor's office because covid) but now I use them a lot as restaurant high chair covers. I turn the whole thing inside out then stick the small end in where the kid's feet go then pull the wider end over the outside of the high chair and clip the edges together underneath the seat with a binder clip. You can use them as covers for the kid chair portion of a shopping cart too (although my kid won't be going into a store until he gets his vaccine - covid spread is still too prevalent in my area for my comfort level). I also think it's so interesting how different people end up breastfeeding. I used a boppy RELIGIOUSLY up until my baby was around a year old. We ended up buying 2 and having one that lived in the nursery and one that initially moved between the living room and our bedroom and eventually ended up exclusively in the living room. My baby was also pretty big and it got difficult for me to hold him up to the breast with one hand almost immediately so with the boppy I could hold my breast in one hand and then just rest the other hand on his back (or, let's be real, holding my phone) while he laid on his side to eat. Now my baby mostly sits up in my lap with one leg on either side of my torso (koala position) but we still use the boppy for those rare middle of the night feeds so he can go back to sleep at the breast. I also exclusively breastfeed cross-legged. I can't do it any other way 🤷
Stephen, you’re helping to normalize guys talking about baby feeding and being a fantastic example of an involved father. So great to see! My “baby” is almost 16 now, but I am loving your parenting blogs. Thank you for sharing your journey.
My youngest is 15 now. I had a boppy pillow (the original one) with all 3 babies & it was very helpful for many things at different stages including breastfeeding, baby lounging, baby bottle feeding themselves in a propped up angle & when they first started sitting up for support! 10/10 totally recommend & doesn't break the bank! I admit I never tried another type of breastfeeding pillow even though as years went by there were more options. I just saw it as, if it's not broke don't fix it. Thanks for doing this for expectant/new parents. I wish RUclips was a thing before I had kids. It would've been very helpful!
I just want to tell you I LOVE your channel, I get so many ideas for my 24 year old daughter. I wanted to pop on here and tell you that I LOVE you with natural make-up. You have natural beauty and don't need much make-up at all. I ordered my daughter that bralet in green, can't wait until it comes in!
I agree the Boppy was great for when people held my baby. We did try a regular pillow and it just wasn't as good. The Boppy is also great for later when baby starts sitting up but needs a little support still. My first 2 babies I used it all the time.
I'm very newly pregnant and have mo idea what to get so this was pretty helpful and made me re think getting the boppy and what bouncer to get etc:) yall are cute too!
Omg I loved this video so much! Love hearing both of your perspectives on the baby items! I want to play this with my husband just by ourselves for our own entertainment 😂 my son is 3 now. My favorite baby item I would rate 10/10 would be our Hatch baby rest night light/sound machine! We’ve used it since day 1 and still do! 🤍
Love your videos! I am a professional nanny, the boppy pillow you will probably use a lot more when Grace is learning to sit up! That’s what I mostly use it for. But also just any pillow behind her will do lol
I have the 4 moms bassinet that’s like the momma roo…it’s also over hyped. Babies either like it or don’t. So basically I have an expensive bassinet. I do however love and recommend the 4 moms pack and play! It seriously sets up and breaks down with one hand! I struggled with my other pack and play and went and bought the 4 moms one. Very worth it. Sturdy and easy to set up, costs as much as most Gracos so it’s not exactly up there in cost comparison.
I love the diaper genie and the bags arent super expensive so theyre not horrible to buy when needed. But also, keep your car seat covers cause theyre great for covering a shopping cart or swing when they get bigger so theyre not touching or chewing on stuff others touch a lot without needing to wipe everything down all crazy or watch them like a hawk to keep them from chewing on stuff. And for bottles, the Phillips avent bottles are hands down the best bottles and also mimic a boob lol
I think it would be really interesting to see a deep dive into Stephen’s thoughts on becoming a father and what the early stages of fatherhood have been like for him! Love to get a dads perspective so I know what to keep in mind for my husband one day.
I’m 2 weeks away from my first baby being born and this was the perfect video for my husband and I to watch!! I loved hearing Sierra’s reviews as a mom and my husband loved Stephen’s reviews from the dad’s point of view!
We used the comotomo bottles because they were my baby’s favorite put of all the different ones we bought. They do take forever to heat up breast milk in so what we did was warm up milk in what we stored it in (freezer bags or medela bottles) & then transferred it to the bottle. Milk warms up super fast in freezer bags! 15-30 seconds in warm water
Wow! So many modern things! Hahah throwback to the (not that long ago) times where everyone had a crib, a high chair and a few pillows; and did just fine lol
I'm in my early 20s and my friend recently had a baby! I hadn't held a baby in a loooooooong time, and I definitely hadn't held one without supervision before lol. She had a Boppy-style pillow and it really was helpful. It made me feel so much more confident that I was holding her correctly, and it kind of naturally help you hold the baby's head up instead of letting it drop forward or back like a regular pillow does.
I know you mentioned a smell when using a regular trash can. I wasn’t sure if you were aware poo is supposed to flushed, even with disposables. It’s printed on most diaper packages. I only found this out when switching to cloth diapering. But since switching and flushing poo, we have no smell at all and her dirty diapers go into an open hamper once rinsed.
@@alishamcg Yeah, that would reduce the smell but poo isn’t supposed to be thrown away at all, even in disposables. Diaper packages state the poo needs to be flushed.
@@lisaporter-smith676 As someone who has cloth diapered, I can guarantee every poo is flushable. 😂 If the poo isn’t solid, you spray them off into the toilet, and flush it.

I loved it!
You can make use of the boppy again when Grace starts seating up. It’s very useful to put around them when they still fall a lot.
I just put bunch of pillows around mine.. but I also aimed to minimize baby specialty items as much as I could (and borrow the rest)
@@annelevin1935 yeah, I’m not suggesting anyone buy a boppy pillow just for that. But she happens to already have one
gotta tell you my favorite part of my weeks recently have been cozying up and snacking in my room catching up on whatever new vlogs i missed bc of work earlier in the week. oddly comforting, like checking up on old friends 💓
It's interesting to see the different perspectives. How analytical Stephen is! I feel like I could see the spreadsheet in Stephen's head.
I would love a vlog with Stephen talking about his side of parenting.
My baby’s 16 but I still found this interesting 😆 Also, Sierra your hair looks gorgeous today!
Same, mine is 14 in a few weeks. Still tuning in 😊
My one and only will be 17 this month.
My baby is 21 and I also enjoyed this.
You guys are the sweetest couple! Thanks for doing this together. It's great to see dad's included in sharing their likes and dislikes for baby care. Single dads out there need the support :D
Ugh I love Stephen so much 😭 love that he is so invested and wants to talk about baby feeding more!
Any thoughts on your baby monitor? I’ve seen it in the background and I’m pretty sure ya’ll have a Nanit, surprised it wasn’t included here because I’m curious if you’ve use the breathing tracking functionality
Stephen, do it!! Give us more dad content videos. I know my husband would love to see more dad perspectives!
Hello. how are you doing today. 👋👋👋👋
I love that both of you express your thoughts and ratings and don’t try to change each other s view. That’s healthy!
Sierra, you're glowing in this video. I've loved to see you growing into such amazing parents 🥰 Grace is a very loved lil girl.
I would love to Stephen go more in-depth into all things baby! It's been so fun seeing your input on everything, and it would be interesting to get Stephen's side as well
I like that both of you had your own input and also had a discussion about the different items 😄
when my son was in daycare she would use a crockpot with water for bottle warming . my son didn't like the comotomo nipple so we used Boon which have a similar silcone and similar shape but adaptable for sippy cup for older. Seriously some stuff the first time is hit or miss and every kid is different so what works for one might not for the next!
Hello. how are you doing today. 👋👋👋👋
Here for ittttt!!!! I still love the dogs barks on the intro! You should add graces giggle into it!!!
Omg yes
The boppy can be used for tummy time, and propped seating as she grows! We use it for core strength practice all the time!
Hi! I love your channel(s)! The Boppy was recently recalled because newborns have suffocated when left unattended. I love the Boppy but thought it would be important to share about the recall-so grateful for your channel and content! Love you!
my babies are 25 and 30.....such cool things for babies now that we did'nt have then...thanks for sharing !!
I appreciate that both of you guys sat down to commentate on the items you are using :)
Your hair looks so healthy and shiny! I love your natural curls but it’s awesome seeing you try out other styles too!
There's a couple babies coming into our family in the coming months, so thanks for the gift ideas!!!
I do love that most of this is about first time parents learning that you dont need all the hyped stuff for your baby to be taken care of
Stephen, I want a re-rate on the boppy pillow 😅 We actually used ours for so much more! It can be great for play time helping to get them into new positions such as kneeling or crawling. Not to mention as a support when they are starting to sit on their own but not fully stable. Highly recommend giving it a second try. Our little girl used it very regularly for the first 6 to 7 months of life.
As a soon to be mom (January 7th!), I found this incredibly helpful. Thanks for the honest review, guys!
The comotomo bottle are my babies favorite!! I have that bottle warmer but I use my Medela pump bottles to warm up it works better !
Hello. how are you doing today. 👋👋👋👋
i absolutely love the comotomo bottles! they are so easy to clean compared to more narrow bottles
Hello. how are you doing today. 👋👋👋👋
I’m pregnant and working on my registry now so I’m rewatching this video. So helpful!
Yay just what I needed right now during recovery and trying to find something to watch!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I agree the Boppy was great for when people held my baby. We did try a regular pillow and it just wasn't as good. The Boppy is also great for later when baby starts sitting up but needs a little support still. My first 2 babies I used it all the time.
Agree with everything but S’s rating on the bottle warmer! That’s thing is great.
Yeah we loved using a bottle warmer for my niece!
The Bobby pillow can be used as baby gets older also for support while they sit and as another form of tummy time.
I'm very newly pregnant and have mo idea what to get so this was pretty helpful and made me re think getting the boppy and what bouncer to get etc:) yall are cute too!
Yesssss my dream come true! My prayers answered! This is SO HELPFUL! Thank you thank you thank you!! 💕💕💕
Love this sit down, as we are preparing/trying to conceive it makes me feel like I can make some educated decisions on things we may need.
Hello. how are you doing today. 👋👋👋👋
I love that Stephen put his input too, you don't see that alot!
We are preparing for our first baby and this video was very helpful for what we might actually need. Thank you!❤
I love the diaper genie and the bags arent super expensive so theyre not horrible to buy when needed.
Thanks for feedback... My friend is due in January so will be looking into this
This is my favorite hairstyle on you! You look absolutely beautiful!!!
I think it would be really interesting to see a deep dive into Stephen’s thoughts on becoming a father and what the early stages of fatherhood have been like for him! Love to get a dads perspective so I know what to keep in mind for my husband one day.
Dang! $50 bottle warmer. I have a $15 one from Amazon. The first years. Just requires vinegar cleaning every once in a while and works fine.
I’m 2 weeks away from my first baby being born and this was the perfect video for my husband and I to watch!! I loved hearing Sierra’s reviews as a mom and my husband loved Stephen’s reviews from the dad’s point of view!
Good luck!
You three are such a cute family (the dogs too)😍
I'm in my early 20s and my friend recently had a baby!
Great video! As a mother of twins the Boppy was a god send. It helped to hold the babies more upright when I had to feed both babies by myself.
Hello. how are you doing today. 👋👋👋👋
Or just can be thrown out into the garbage can outside.
@@alishamcg Yeah, that would reduce the smell but poo isn’t supposed to be thrown away at all, even in disposables. Diaper packages state the poo needs to be flushed.
@@alishamcg Getting up and changing a dirty nappy at 3am and then taking it outside is insane. Especially for people who live in apartments.
@@LayaRay That’s very optimistic thinking that babies have flushable poos! Often they aren’t unfortunately!
@@lisaporter-smith676 As someone who has cloth diapered, I can guarantee every poo is flushable. 😂 If the poo isn’t solid, you spray them off into the toilet, and flush it.
