I worked on the film 'BAND OF THE HAND' in the mid-80's and there, the whole time, was Paul & Elizabeth and their daughter Ariel. Paul was the picture of a brave, loving husband and doting father. I'll leave it there for respect for He and his dear departed.

Paul Michael Glaser is an actor that I learned to admire this year 2020 after I watched the series Starsky and Hutch here in Brazil for the first time in my life. So I researched other films with Paul Michael Glaser as an actor and director. Your life story moved me. But at the same time, I felt a huge love for the man, husband and father that Paul Michael Glaser is. My respect and admiration for hin will be forever.

I remember when this happened. It was a scary time and not a lot of information about AIDS was available. Paul's ability to channelling heartache into something positive is laudable. Thanks for the reminder that, as humans, we will always have obstacles we can't control, but we can control what we do when faced with them. We can rise up and help each other or point fingers and lay blame without contributing solutions. Let's do the former, not the latter.

Yes, Paul and his family are true inspiration in facing grief and adversity by being advocates for others. I have met him and his best friend David Soul and Antonio (Huggy Bear). They all are genuine kind gentlemen. My favorite though will always be Paul who is a true artist in every sense of the word. He is down to earth and shares his wisdom about dealing with fear. His books: Chrystallia and the Source of Light, Edge of Whimsy and art shows along with get togethers with his fans for his birthday and just celebrating life thru continous work with Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS foundation which his son Jake continues in his mother's footsteps. Paul stays close to his family. What an awesome man and father. Thank you David for sharing. Check out PMGlaserart.com

A great story. I 1st heard of the show Starsky And Hutch via Mad magazine. One issue featured a satire of that show, renaming it Harsky And Stutch! Hahaha!
Then David Soul had a hit with Don't Give Up On Us, Baby. I told my wife as we heard that song on a road trip, "He was in a TV show Starsky And Hutch."
But I realize this is Paul Michael Glaser's story. I didn't know he was in Fiddler On The Roof. I also never saw Band Of The Hand. I loved the theme which Bob Dylan sang and probably wrote. Very touching story and I have newfound respect for Mr. Glaser.

This is great. Thank you for posting. I love PMG! His love story with Elizabeth is adorable. They were together for nearly 20 years, after meeting in June 1975. They were married from 08/24/1980 until her death on 12/3/1994.😢 I remember that day, as well as when their daughter Ariel died a week after she turned 7 in 1988. 😢 Sad, sad, sad. They are both buried in the Glaser family plot, alongside PMG's parents, in a Jewish cemetery south of Boston MA.
Paul remarried on 11/24/1996 to a beautiful woman 19 years his junior. Reportedly, PMG wanted to have children right away. Understandable since it was likely Jake could die, too. She adopted Jake while pregnant and her and Paul's daughter, Zoe, who was born in October 1997. Their marriage lasted less than 10 years.
A decade after the divorce, his ex-wife, Tracy Barone, wrote an insightful article stating she 'married Elizabeth Glaser's husband'. Her artcile was beautifully written and very interesting.
Again, thank you for posting this. It's wonderful to see so many PMG fans coming here. The views are jumping like crazy. 🤗

It's wonderful when someone meets the person of their dreams. I guess like the movie him and Elizabeth had their "Love Story" then later tragedy struck. Love doesn't mean to say you're sorry. Totally excellent. I could watch that episode over and over!
Carkeys and clutch was one of the most psychological thrillers I have ever seen! The writers and directors really knew how to plant the seeds of distress in the minds of those watching in that era.
But the acting had everything. Comedy, drama, fear, frustration, adrenalin, sadness, it was so complete from all the actors, even the two different captain dobey's.
But you aren't billed as a star in a show unless you have what it really takes to be a star and they both oozed it so much you could bottle it!
Their emotion changes could be as quick as a match being struck. And they had the quality, style and panache to carry the 1970's into the 1980's.
    IMMENSE!!!

To this day, I love this show so much I have the DVD collection. I had a huge crush on Paul at 14. Years later as a mature adult, I now really like Hutch equally as well. I always admired Paul’s great strength despite the hole AIDS had made that destroyed his first family. Didn’t know he now has a second wife, nor that he is a recognized artist! I will have to check out his work! Thanks so much for this well done video!

You don't have to thank me for watching, I have to thank you for taking the time to make these videos. I love to be able to learn about actors and actresses from TV shows and movies that I've seen. Starsky and Hutch was a good show to watch. It was sad to hear that their child died and his wife died as well. Paul must have had something I can't imagine to put the two people he lost in his life behind him and moved on, although he will still remember them

I have always been a big fan of Starsky and Hutch since i was a kid , im 54 now. The show has been with me all of my life and although i liked all of characters David Starsky was always my favourite. I dont know much about Paul Michael Glaser other than what i read in magazines or saw on TV but his portrayal of David Starsky has given me great pleasure over many years.
I wish him peace and happiness he certainly deserves it.

Thank you for bringing this story to your viewers. I for one didn't know of Paul Michael Glaziers tragic loss. My heart goes out to the man and his son, an innocent victim, BUT at least he is still able to live, love and continue in his career as you stated rather than allow grief to overwhelm him.

Was a huge fan of Starsky & Hutch as a kid, which I believe I imparted in your video on David Soul. Excellent video and info, Dave! Had read some about the heartbreaking tragedies which impacted this family, but you did a great job of fleshing out the details. Loved the Running Man. Read that Arnold was not enthusiastic about Glaser being hired to direct his movie. He was concerned the finished product would feel like a tv episode rather than an action movie. Think it's safe to say, Glaser did a marvelous job of directing! It's one of my favorite 80's movies. Did not know he became a visual artist. I'll have to look him up on the internet.

Starsky and Hutch was my all time favorite show in the 70’s. I was a young teenager and wanted to someday marry Paul. I’m 60 now and still remember my favorite episodes (I have the DVD collection) and even remember Paul’s birthday (March 25th) every year. I think I’ll go watch a couple of episodes of Starsky and Hutch right now! Good to see that others share the passion for the show that I have!!

He just seemed like, such a sweet and real dude, that I always wanted the best for him. Praying all is well in his world. Finally, thanks for the clip ;0
