A magnificent performance by all involved with a special congratulation to the dancers and the choreographer. I play it over and over and still enjoy every repeat. There's something magical in the choreography which beats any competition.
You are absolutely right on that -- the music is given an enormous boost with the beautifully conceived choreography and the dancers are right on top of it. The entire ensemble is perfectly suited to the style of variety shows from the 1960s: smart, with just enough athleticism to celebrate what is possible when we are young.

Tony & Diana have a great chemistry and their voices complement each other perfectly...PLUS the outstanding retro-60's DANCERS, first in B & W ala a 60's TV Special then dissolving into color...truly ADDED to the visuals. Whomever the Choreographer was...he/she did a sensational job with these 10 diverse Dancers who performed with grace, style and yes...were COOL.

This tv special was to celebrate Tony Bennett's 80th birthday, which was in 2006.
This particular number was a standout performance in every way. The hip and young troupe of dancers added considerably to its joyous quality.

Creo, y disculpenme, que al final gano la carrera artistica, Tony a Frank, no solo vitalmente, sino tambien musical. Este tema, debido a los extraordinarios Cy Coleman y Carolyn Leigh, es un ejemplo de ello. Por composicion, arreglos con armonias. muy modernas extendidas como los cinco acordes finales conteniendo armonias llamadas de trecenas o con siete notas sin duplicar ninguna... lo ultimo en evolucion de acordes que superan la escuela del gran Nelson Ridle...Y todo refrendado por dos swingistas como Diana y Tony... El jazz se supera, no muere y conocerá nuevas glorias... Es el genero musical tecnicamente mas avanzado y con las composiciones e interpretaciones de mas categoria actual, si bien, es como la miel o el jamon de jabugo español, que necesita paladares refinados a la altura para degustar el manjar. Como la .miel no esta hecha para la boca del asno, el jazz tampoco esta para oidos de poperos, carentes de swing...

I really love the mucis, I mean, how can you not? But the dancers really need, what's the word, STYLE!!!!! They were clearly not jazz dancers. And if they were.....they are not good enough.

Er, Krall is ruining this duet: Her voice is flat or monotone. Tony's turning every note into a shining diamond; how embarrassing. Unless you're Lady Gaga, you shouldn't duet with Tony Bennett; he was just the best, barely ahead of Aretha, Adele, or NKC, but he did top them. What a unique talent!
I loved Tony and Diana together, but those dancers really were an annoying distraction IMHO.
