If you're this far down, my name is Brianne and I'm an Australian who makes a bit of everything whether it's lifestyle vlogs, reddit videos, ex-employee videos reaction videos or anything else that pops into my head. This time I'm showing you the funniest fails at gender reveal parties and the gender reveal parties that started the California fires.

Just got the notification (and almost spelt ‘just’ like ‘yust’)
The lady who invented it only had it because she’d had a few miscarriages, all of them miscarrying before she was able to find out the sex of her baby and due to really wanting to have children she was distraught, so when her pregnancy made it to the milestone of being able to find out her baby’s sex, she was understandably incredibly excited and threw a small party to celebrate it.
She's since come out and said not to do them.
Good on her on both fronts
I believe her child is also non-binary which has contributed to her expressing dislike for the celebration

Apparently " she feels bad about how the whole thing hurts the trans communities and her official stance is “There are plenty of other reasons to eat cake” and that we should pick a different one"

I like the idea where you just don’t tell anyone that your having a kid, have it, give the kid a name that could go either way on gender, and rock up to a fam reunion and just not give any explanation whatsoever as to why you suddenly have a child. Just let chaos erupt.

I am an American and I completely agree. It is sickening to live in an area where Trump signs are on the majority of front yards and something so stupid as a gender reveal party started these horrible fires that are causing so much destruction. And they aren't being charged with anything to my knowledge!

We had our own fires disaster here in Australia late last year & into the early part of this year (basically - all summer long) so we can certainly relate to & understand what everyone in the affected regions on the US Pacific coast right now are enduring 🔥🔥🔥 As for the Trump signs.... Well, you’d be hard pressed to find any kind of fanatical support like that for politicians here as a huge number of people I know have a lifelong hatred & disgust of “all things political”. If you’re anywhere near or IN the fire affected areas, please do everything possible to stay safe & protect yourself & your loved ones. Personal property & possessions can be replaced after a fire.... Human lives cannot ✊️😔. All the best to you from Australia 🇦🇺✌️😎🇺🇸

07:55 true, if you're gonna be upset at something as trivial as your child's gender you don't deserve kids, I've seen way too many videos of parents getting upset at the colour that came out, mostly dads when it's pink. Also people who start fires with gender reveal parties should be charged with arson.

You can literally see the "chug" instinct kick in while that last guy is shoving an entire cupcake into his face and then the panic when he realizes what he did.
Yeah I gotta say the silly string my sister went with was definitely a smart option. She thought all those other types were stupid cause they made such a mess and she didn't want to clean it up. The silly string was clean in like 5 mins it was beautiful. Only downside was it just came out white at first. But nothing caught on fire sooo..... I'd call it a win.

I have 2 aunt’s we’ll call the K and S.
When K was pregnant with her first child she had a gender reveal party, it was a boy, the way she did it was she bit into a cupcake and it had blue frosting in it.
When K was pregnant with her 2nd child she had a gender reveal, it was a girl, the way she did it that time was have her boy, which at the time was like 2 or 3, open a box with pink balloons.
When S was pregnant with her first child nI honestly don’t remember what she did. She lives in a different state than the rest of the family. She might have done some sort of gender party, but she probably just sent the family a video say the gender or something, i don’t remember that was like 2 or 3 years ago and my memory doesn’t last that long.
Now S is pregnant with her 2 child and recently she found out the gender, so what she did was she recorded a video of her daughter biting into a cupcake with blue frosting.
Moral of the story is there is a 99% chance I will have a gender reveal party, if I ever have children. I’ll probably just send out a text saying “it’s a _” and call it a day. Gender reveal parties in my opinion are a waste of time and money.

My aunt had gender reveal parties for all three of her biological kids (she has one adopted one that didn’t have a party) and I hated them. They weren’t destructive or anything, but I don’t understand the obsession with what genitals your unborn child has. They end up assigning personalities to their kids before they’re even born based on if they have a dick or not. I think it’s fine to have the parties or whatever, but getting upset if they’re not the gender you wanted is shitty.
