I bought this for £7.99 in a sale recently. Sure, the graphics aren't the greatest, but the sheer variety of disciplines and the fact that there's always something new every week makes this a game well worth buying and playing. It's an 8/10 from me, and I can see myself playing it for a long, long time. Oh yeah, great videos man - I subscribed a while back.
This video successfully sold me on the game. It looks like everything I want and with a Steam racing sale going on right now I can get it for a whopping 80% off. Even the season pass is slashed by that amount right now so if it's half as good as you claim this is an absolute steal. Cheers!
Ahh I shoulda waited! I spent like 60ish a couple of months ago. I just started playing a couple days ago though and I love it! Definitely take advantage and buy this game if you have a decent PC setup!
You dont need the season pass ubisoft have move one step ahead and now require players who want to get every new update item to buy a currency with real money like rockstar does with shark cards if this is something that bothers you you can play without paying
My main thing with the map is quality issues at times, and the lack of some large cities that are just not in game. Like tell me why they added Nashville but not Atlanta? If they do The Crew 3, it would be nice to see an updated map and better highways and backroads
I think it's kind of sad they removed a whole bunch of places from the first game, the map really had character you actually wanted to look around, you wanted to see what you could find, then they removed a bunch of places in The Crew 2, now personally I really like the first crew but I've been considering if I should get the crew two, I like the fact that it had a story it wasn't a very good story but I mostly liked just being able to drive around and explore, this review kind of help but I don't know I'm not really feeling the whole be an influencer vibe, if anyone has opinions on what they like about this game compared to the first one let me know because I'm really struggling with what I want to do currently it's on sale for $26
@@mr.exodus3844 I think if you picked it up for that price, you get what you payed for. The game still is updated and the car selection is pretty ok but outside of that, that’s the only good thing I can say. If you got friends that play Crew 2 then mess around with them because it makes the game that much better. If you want something more story related, I recommend getting Forza Horizon 1 or 2 if you got an Xbox One or Series X.
@@tonkofwisdom3788 it's not so much the story I care about it's just the fact of being able to fuck off and drive around kind of thing, I liked the idea of being able to drive across the entire United States a lot and being able to visit actual cities, The Crew 2 seems fun and from what you said it sounds like it would be great if I had a group of friends, but if I can't explore the map like I used to then I don't know if the game is worth it. I'm kind of Lucky it's on sale because it's a regular $92 game here lol, if you think that price is worth it, the $26 then I might give it a shot.

Ig at that point if you are a fan of The Crew, just get Crew 2 to say you have the Crew 2. It’s not like there isn’t fun to be had but yeah. The only thing I am gonna recommend though is that you look up money guides and just in general faster ways to earn money because the prices for cars in game are unreasonably expensive and you will be doing a lot of grinding to just get the cars you want
I came back to this after years and have been loving it, as a huge fan of the crew 1 as well as a closed and open beta tester for the crew 2, I was disappointed at release at the seemingly downgrades from the crew 1, I did everything the game had to offer and then left it, but coming back I realised this game is just fun. Sure it may not be the most realistic, best graphics etc but the sheer unique nature of the crew 2, the utter feeling of freedom I've never felt in a game and the truly expansive experiences you can have, the crew 2 is just such a fun game! P.s This review was absolutely brilliant well done :) you perfectly encapsulated this games nature and just how fun it is!
(Btw I’m not arguing because launch did suck there is no question) but the crew to is not meant to be realistic it’s quite clear the devs wanted to stand out with physics that were fun. Making the gameplay as fun as possible was definitely what they were going with like when they added an update which allows you to go flying if you use nos mid air and cutting back on graphics for an impressive map. It’s fun to play with friends in these silly levels like the chases and aliens.
TFFox... I never played the first Crew, but I just downloaded Crew 2 today and I am OBSESSED with this game! I love the mix of realism and retro arcade styles and I LOVE that there is continued support for this game. I snagged this game for $10 via the PSN sale and I am utterly blown away by this incredible game!

I feel like most reviews I came across before getting the game really didn't cover the important points, like the diversity between different events to keep the game fun for a long time. I definitely think the game could be better (course editor, better parts system, etc.) but it's truly an incredible open world game that you can play for hundreds of hours before getting tired of and explore endlessly. @@josephcoviello5721 sorry for the late reply but in the pro vehicle tuning there are assists one of the is ESP I suggest turning that off bc that's what sometimes makes your car unresponsive to the inputs. And also the controller setting need to be tweaked a little bit I suggest looking through every setting and looking up a video. But that's basically it my controls feel kinda like fh4 now and I'm incredibly satisfied with it
4:10 You forgot to mention that The Crew 2 also has Pro Settings, which you can use to tune handling and performance. It's right at the bottom when you're in the performance section. I commented this on your 2021 Crew 2 video but you haven't noticed it. Otherwise, great video. Also, if you buy this game, make sure you get the Gold Edition of this game so that you get a permanent 20% discount at the game's shop. If you hate microtransactions, stay away from this game. There are some limited-time cars and cosmetic vanities that can only be bought with Crew Credits in Motorpasses (Battlepass). I also wish you could've talked about police chases, stunt scoring events, time trial events, taxi missions, and story missions.
Microteansactions or not, i‘d say the game in itsself has more than enough content to keep you entertained. Even Season Pass vehicles can be obtained with the standard edition. With the season pass you get them for free, otherwise you gotta buy them with ingame cash. Its also crazy how many cars were added through time. The Jesko and Gemera, M8 Competition, countless bugattis. But yes, the game is a grind, HOWEVER: once you finished the game, this is what you do. Get a good Hypercar, maximize the „Rich“ Skill, grind New York on Ace over and over. Im at a point where im done with the race in 30 mins and it gets me 400k, do that like once a day and your set for the entirety of the games online lifespan lol

this might be personal preference but this game’s cities look horrible. they look like they’re made of plastic and it really kills my vibe playing this game, even the crew 1 looked better.

To any new people thinking of buying it beware some vehicles will be locked off to you forever they were added in events that required platinum to unlock in things called summit events a weekly challenge this really annoys me as I want some of these vehicles and I'm now forever locked out of them with no way of obtaining them now Despite its flaws I do like driving around the map is huge it takes a while to drive down the same road and notice I usually like to put on music or podcasts and cruise like its coming from the radio I would like to see more old cars added to the game too
They do come back you just have to wait for it to come back during one of the months which is no where near now with the amount of stuff that slowly getting into the game but hey I was in your shoes back then struggling to get summit vehicles but eventually I got extremely good at the game and every summit I’ve placed platinum with no sweat it just takes time to actually get good at the game and I’ve had it since December 2018 but the summits for sure definitely require absolute skill.
As a motor rider i can say that cruising on a sportbike with cockpit view i can easily cruise for an hour or more just cruising trough the traffic just like in real life, very good. One of the best handling with motorcycle games how the bike feel while riding etc.
I played all Forza Horizons and this is hands down way better. The graphics look better in Forza but they're not much of use if you're getting bored, which will never happen here.
played this game pretty much on day one ,still remember how excited i was to play it back then! i still play it every once in a while. its just fun to do a road trip across the usa
I downloaded it for free on PlayStation plus on my ps5 and I was actually pretty impressed with it. The visuals and landscapes are pretty underwhelming but the drifting and customization options are really cool. Definitely worth downloading it for free.
Growing up and playing games in the '80s, 30fps in a game like this is more than acceptable. It's bliss, actually. And what is considered 'average' graphics in today's games, or even games a few years old, I consider the graphics to be gorgeous. Gamers today have impossible standards. Anything less than mind-blowingly awesome is frowned upon, even shunned and ridiculed. I love having a low bar. I get to enjoy games that today's gamers just won't bother with. 😜
Got this in sale last week really enjoying it actually more than horizon 5 literally farmed 5 mill in takedown enough to buy a vehicle in each class it’s a massive game plenty to do next gen upgrade is coming in July
Is it worth getting even now when you can't get the cars that were exclusive to various events in the past? Seems like the later you get this, the more cars you miss out on.
I’ve never been big into racing games, but just being able to hop in a chill (like a truckingsimulator) or mess with my friends was just the icing on the cake on top of the 80% (or so) discount I got on it
I hope crew 3 will be going back to street racing... And have a map located somewhere else... Like in japan or something... Im happy to get rid of planes and boats and stuff mabye even set in the 90s would be great
Got this for my 5 year old, he fucking LOVES the open world, I earn his cars while I have free time and he just picks what to buy and free roams in it, really good pick if your a dad looking to share with your kid.

I get that the speed customisation isn't good but it does have a AFFIX stat which lets you tweak the cars in certain ways to make them feel different. But it is hard to get used to.
If you ask me, this is the best racing open world game I've ever had the chance to play! Not only is it super realistic when it comes to graphics, but it's also diverse and it personally makes me much more free and independent while exploring the enormous map! I suggest everybody playing it without hesitating because it's got its own uniqueness and I can't even compare it to any other game of the racing ones I've played!
Been playing this one again lately and instantly remembered why i dumped hundreds of hours into the first game in high school. This game is so underrated and somehow it gets more fun for me with every update
To be honest, this game is a gem. I got it at launch and stopped playing it. Since its launch it has fallen off in popularity quite a bit. I went back the other day and was extremely impressed. I have no idea why I stopped playing such an awesome and cool game!

I had the crew 2 on stadia and loved it! I recently purchased it on Xbox for $9 with season pass and lots of dlc. The only disappointment is finding out the wheel support is pretty nonexistent.its a great game with a controller
Wheel support is nonexistant? Which wheel are you using? There are tonnes of settings for force feedback, even if it's not the best, and all the wheels I've ever had have been supported!
I downloaded it for free recently with PS Plus subscription. I think it's really good! Reminds me a lot of Test Drive Unlimited, kinda wish I found this game sooner, although it is nice to have all the added content from the past years, gives a lot to do!
Someone said enthusia emulated to 4k with a wheel set up was a dream set up; but then they'd only be missing out on this goldmine of a game. I've been playing it for only three days now and I love it.

I got it today, with a price of £4.99 on steam. Thought I’d try it out as it’s cheap and similar to forza as I have heard. First day, 9 hours. I’ve earned myself a Kawa H2, as I LOVE motorbikes. I have fallen in love.
For the future, I think it would be super sick if they made The Crew 3 and it was based in Europe so that we’d have to use planes and boats more because the cars are really what is played the most
There has to be a middle ground between cars handed out too generously (FH5) and the tedious grind for in game currency to buy cars (NFS Heat and the Crew 1).
@@tomasburian6550 I wasn't referring to handling. FH5 is too generous when it comes to currency to acquire cars. Every level up comes with a possibility of vehicle as a reward. I'm not complaining about that. Grinding for currency is tedious in the Crew 2 and NFS Heat.

Cheers man! Sorry for the late reply. Doesn't take long to mod cars like an M5 to look how you want in Forza Horizon. Also very quick progression to afford such cars and the mods. Forza 5 for sure! Graphics are incredible, map is better and the playerbase is very good. Can't go wrong though!
The main reason why The Crew 2 graphics looks bland and "mediocre" when compared to FH5 or 4 is because of its sheer map size. It's literally the whole USA (condensed though) so that's why they have to sacrifice the graphics for optimal performance I think this can also be applied in Battlefield 2042, where it achieved 128 players in a multiplayer match but EA/DICE had to sacrifice... Everything
The game has one draw back. I would love to have police chasing you as you race it makes it more challenging. When they make crew 3 i would love to see this.
The diversity of vehicles and locations is amazing, but the physics are a joke, sometimes I feel like I’m playing Mario Go Kart, so I go back to NFS… But DAMMIT in what other game can you drive across the US in your favourite vehicles that aren’t found in other games (Bugatti Divo, Koeniggsegg CCX, Pagani Zonda, Dodge Demon, Super bikes and MUCH more)
The car selection and the map size are the strongest points of this game. It's unbelievable how they even managed to beat Forza Horizon in everything but graphics, and even the graphics are being constantly updated so I'm convinced that one day this game will be on top in every department.

Personally, I would avoid it! It will hurt your early game progression which is one of the best bits! If you want a headstart though, it will give you that.
60fps on next gen consoles is a good upgrade! And visually yes there are some improvements but they are not huge! The Crew Motorfest is coming out in September with massively overhauled graphics. It looks amazing!
This game really is super sweet! I'm not a big gamer but I love this thing you got your flight simulator your boat simulator your car simulator your motorcycle simulator LOL just showed up being able to run around like you can in GTA v if they could match these two games together I think it would be the perfect ultimate game

Yes, they are the 'live extreme' events where you race different classes in the same race! You can get a stint in a boat and then switch to a lambo...it's pretty damn cool! Thanks for the sub man, that's hugely appreciated!
Hey I been playing Forza 5 since release and its first ever time I played mmo type racer on PC. I was wondering if this game has solo farm/progression like Forza 5 where you can do seasonal championship vs A.I? Also does this game have agrigious lootbox system where most stuff is behind forced pay wall? Is game new player friendly ( those that are not lewis hamilton level skill)? Thank You
I'm relatively new to the PS4, having only bought one a year ago and I got this on PS Now the same time as I got all the NFS games on EA Play and I'm still playing this whereas I got pretty bored of the NFS games once I had finished the main stories. The fact that they release new content regularly means it never gets stale and there's always something to do or look forward to, plus you don't have to fork out $120 million dollars for a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe because you get one free in the game! Btw, this will be available on the new PS Plus Extra and Premium subscription services in June alongside The Crew.
The Crew 2 is great. Its not some amazing world changing masterclass of game design, but its fun. I'm so tired of the bandwagon hate towards this game. People hate this game for aspects the first game already did, yet they love the first one. They say this game is crap because there's no story, as if TC1's story was anything to write home about. It was serviceable at best IMO. They say the handling sucks as if TC1's handling was great. (Personally I prefer TC2s handling.) The cutscenes are cringe and budget AF but don't act like you can't literally just ignore them. Its a minor gripe since the focus of the game is the gameplay. They hate the upgrade system but TC1s was basically the same. I even saw one guy put "the pedestrians are stupid" in their "top 10 reasons why the game sucks". You can't get much more bottom of the barrel than that. They removed landmarks (cause of some stupid copyright/legal bs) but added more complexity to the cities and added more tracks and other event locations. Is it perfect? No, but games are never black and white contrary to popular belief. They can be just good or just quite good. I've played about 100 hours of the game and I feel like I got my moneys worth. Its a solid 7 or 8 out of 10 for me.
I had this game on my Xbox one and the disc is still behind my monitor but I don’t have my Xbox at my house all I got is my pc and ps5 which I wish I could play Xbox games on PlayStation and vise versa but this is making me consider playing the game again especially because it made me remember times I loved this game and other times that weren’t so fun but overall I will definitely be buying this game again
Its all a really good concept, but if there is gonna be a TC3 there must be a lot of time spend on the map. TC2 just updated the map from TC1. But with that came many mistakes that they don't fix.
Having snow in LA and Miami was bad enough, I'd say. The first game's map was tight, way better than the new one. If they put the car selecting from the second game back into the first, I'd never leave :)

Yeah, see that's another thing that pushed me off Crew 2, it's Microtransactions. The Crew 1 didn't do that, but granted the dlc wasn't free.
Microteansactions or not, i‘d say the game in itsself has more than enough content to keep you entertained. Even Season Pass vehicles can be obtained with the standard edition. With the season pass you get them for free, otherwise you gotta buy them with ingame cash.
Its also crazy how many cars were added through time. The Jesko and Gemera, M8 Competition, countless bugattis.
But yes, the game is a grind, HOWEVER: once you finished the game, this is what you do. Get a good Hypercar, maximize the „Rich“ Skill, grind New York on Ace over and over. Im at a point where im done with the race in 30 mins and it gets me 400k, do that like once a day and your set for the entirety of the games online lifespan lol

Always loved steep and enjoyed riders republic, I realized this is basically that with cars and planes, saw it was $10 had to get it
To any new people thinking of buying it beware some vehicles will be locked off to you forever they were added in events that required platinum to unlock in things called summit events a weekly challenge this really annoys me as I want some of these vehicles and I'm now forever locked out of them with no way of obtaining them now
Despite its flaws I do like driving around the map is huge it takes a while to drive down the same road and notice I usually like to put on music or podcasts and cruise like its coming from the radio
I would like to see more old cars added to the game too
They do come back you just have to wait for it to come back during one of the months which is no where near now with the amount of stuff that slowly getting into the game but hey I was in your shoes back then struggling to get summit vehicles but eventually I got extremely good at the game and every summit I’ve placed platinum with no sweat it just takes time to actually get good at the game and I’ve had it since December 2018 but the summits for sure definitely require absolute skill.

As a motor rider i can say that cruising on a sportbike with cockpit view i can easily cruise for an hour or more just cruising trough the traffic just like in real life, very good. One of the best handling with motorcycle games how the bike feel while riding etc.

I played all Forza Horizons and this is hands down way better. The graphics look better in Forza but they're not much of use if you're getting bored, which will never happen here.

I downloaded it for free on PlayStation plus on my ps5 and I was actually pretty impressed with it. The visuals and landscapes are pretty underwhelming but the drifting and customization options are really cool. Definitely worth downloading it for free.
Growing up and playing games in the '80s, 30fps in a game like this is more than acceptable. It's bliss, actually. And what is considered 'average' graphics in today's games, or even games a few years old, I consider the graphics to be gorgeous. Gamers today have impossible standards. Anything less than mind-blowingly awesome is frowned upon, even shunned and ridiculed. I love having a low bar. I get to enjoy games that today's gamers just won't bother with. 😜

Got this for my 5 year old, he fucking LOVES the open world, I earn his cars while I have free time and he just picks what to buy and free roams in it, really good pick if your a dad looking to share with your kid.

I get that the speed customisation isn't good but it does have a AFFIX stat which lets you tweak the cars in certain ways to make them feel different. But it is hard to get used to.

If you ask me, this is the best racing open world game I've ever had the chance to play! Not only is it super realistic when it comes to graphics, but it's also diverse and it personally makes me much more free and independent while exploring the enormous map! I suggest everybody playing it without hesitating because it's got its own uniqueness and I can't even compare it to any other game of the racing ones I've played!
Been playing this one again lately and instantly remembered why i dumped hundreds of hours into the first game in high school. This game is so underrated and somehow it gets more fun for me with every update
To be honest, this game is a gem. I got it at launch and stopped playing it. Since its launch it has fallen off in popularity quite a bit. I went back the other day and was extremely impressed. I have no idea why I stopped playing such an awesome and cool game!
If you got it at launch, depending on when you put it down, you wouldn't have known about upgrades such as the Summits, or Motor Pass events.

I had the crew 2 on stadia and loved it! I recently purchased it on Xbox for $9 with season pass and lots of dlc. The only disappointment is finding out the wheel support is pretty nonexistent.its a great game with a controller

There has to be a middle ground between cars handed out too generously (FH5) and the tedious grind for in game currency to buy cars (NFS Heat and the Crew 1).
If you think that FH5 has a way too generous handling, try playing it with a steering wheel, a way different experience.
@@tomasburian6550 I wasn't referring to handling. FH5 is too generous when it comes to currency to acquire cars. Every level up comes with a possibility of vehicle as a reward. I'm not complaining about that. Grinding for currency is tedious in the Crew 2 and NFS Heat.

Cheers man! Sorry for the late reply. Doesn't take long to mod cars like an M5 to look how you want in Forza Horizon. Also very quick progression to afford such cars and the mods. Forza 5 for sure! Graphics are incredible, map is better and the playerbase is very good. Can't go wrong though!

The main reason why The Crew 2 graphics looks bland and "mediocre" when compared to FH5 or 4 is because of its sheer map size. It's literally the whole USA (condensed though) so that's why they have to sacrifice the graphics for optimal performance
I think this can also be applied in Battlefield 2042, where it achieved 128 players in a multiplayer match but EA/DICE had to sacrifice... Everything

The game has one draw back. I would love to have police chasing you as you race it makes it more challenging. When they make crew 3 i would love to see this.

The diversity of vehicles and locations is amazing, but the physics are a joke, sometimes I feel like I’m playing Mario Go Kart, so I go back to NFS… But DAMMIT in what other game can you drive across the US in your favourite vehicles that aren’t found in other games (Bugatti Divo, Koeniggsegg CCX, Pagani Zonda, Dodge Demon, Super bikes and MUCH more)
The car selection and the map size are the strongest points of this game.
It's unbelievable how they even managed to beat Forza Horizon in everything but graphics, and even the graphics are being constantly updated so I'm convinced that one day this game will be on top in every department.

Personally, I would avoid it! It will hurt your early game progression which is one of the best bits!
If you want a headstart though, it will give you that.
The Crew 2 is my go to whenever I feel like catching a vibe while riding vehicles.

60fps on next gen consoles is a good upgrade! And visually yes there are some improvements but they are not huge! The Crew Motorfest is coming out in September with massively overhauled graphics. It looks amazing!

Yes, they are the 'live extreme' events where you race different classes in the same race! You can get a stint in a boat and then switch to a lambo...it's pretty damn cool!

Another downside to this game: No Offline Mode, so if you have bad internet, don't buy it.
This is the only reason I have not bought the game. Its a shame I can't play it offline.
I'm relatively new to the PS4, having only bought one a year ago and I got this on PS Now the same time as I got all the NFS games on EA Play and I'm still playing this whereas I got pretty bored of the NFS games once I had finished the main stories. The fact that they release new content regularly means it never gets stale and there's always something to do or look forward to, plus you don't have to fork out $120 million dollars for a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe because you get one free in the game! Btw, this will be available on the new PS Plus Extra and Premium subscription services in June alongside The Crew.
The Crew 2 is great. Its not some amazing world changing masterclass of game design, but its fun.
I'm so tired of the bandwagon hate towards this game. People hate this game for aspects the first game already did, yet they love the first one.
They say this game is crap because there's no story, as if TC1's story was anything to write home about. It was serviceable at best IMO.
They say the handling sucks as if TC1's handling was great. (Personally I prefer TC2s handling.)
The cutscenes are cringe and budget AF but don't act like you can't literally just ignore them. Its a minor gripe since the focus of the game is the gameplay.
They hate the upgrade system but TC1s was basically the same.
I even saw one guy put "the pedestrians are stupid" in their "top 10 reasons why the game sucks". You can't get much more bottom of the barrel than that.
They removed landmarks (cause of some stupid copyright/legal bs) but added more complexity to the cities and added more tracks and other event locations.
Is it perfect? No, but games are never black and white contrary to popular belief. They can be just good or just quite good.
I've played about 100 hours of the game and I feel like I got my moneys worth. Its a solid 7 or 8 out of 10 for me.
The crew 1 is better.

I had this game on my Xbox one and the disc is still behind my monitor but I don’t have my Xbox at my house all I got is my pc and ps5 which I wish I could play Xbox games on PlayStation and vise versa but this is making me consider playing the game again especially because it made me remember times I loved this game and other times that weren’t so fun but overall I will definitely be buying this game again

I was disappointed there was no graphic enhancement but the frames still make it so much better
Its all a really good concept, but if there is gonna be a TC3 there must be a lot of time spend on the map. TC2 just updated the map from TC1. But with that came many mistakes that they don't fix.
Having snow in LA and Miami was bad enough, I'd say. The first game's map was tight, way better than the new one. If they put the car selecting from the second game back into the first, I'd never leave :)
