Adhering to the tradition set in the past two seasons, Andino was compelled to eliminate one board immediately, dismissing it based solely on its look and feel rather than its performance in the water. This year, the ‘Unlucky 13’ board was made by Xanadu. In this episode, we’ll see if Kolohe’s instincts were correct, with a little cameo from one of Andino’s CT mentees.

Bummed didn’t get to see kohole ride the Xanadu. Kinda waste to just eliminate it without even riding it.. waste of time for the shaper ). I was stoked to see Xanadu in the contest and most excited about that one .. i’ve ridden almost every shaper out there, and can tell you, his shapes are definitely the weirdest and funky or his shapes are different then alot of guys , but they can be magical ,didn’t think kolohe would like it anyways, since they’re a lot different then mayhems boards or what he normally rides or would be cool if they rode the eliminated board after picking the winner or something ,just to see if he made a mistake.. also think it’s dumb shaper doesn’t know who he’s making the board for ..if the shaper knew exactly who the surfer was or how they surfed i feel it would be better then knowing the shaper just made some random board with random rocker , dims ect .. tell the shaper exactly who the board is for and exactly what wave they’re riding,, I think that’s a better comparison on who the better shaper or board is.
