These boards arent models and they're designed by shapers who are don't know much about their rider's characteristics so its a mistake to interpret this as a debunking of the individuality behind ALL of the big names out there imo.
i think commisioning a local shaper is what id do every time if i had the money tho but i dont so im on craigslist all the time lol : /

News flash buddy, local shaped boards are more expensive, it’s cheaper to get a top of the range board imported from a shop, than go to a local guy and get it made and that is why a lot of shapers are quitting.

If you can't find your own shaper, you are not knowing your stuff. MF had much more understanding and I would guess that's part of the secret of his success.
