Breaking a Broody Hen….

How do you break a broody hen?
One of our hens has been broody.
We thought she’d get over it, bit it’s been over a month and her condition has deteriorated to the point that the other hens are picking on her.
Time for a spell in chicken prison to snap her out of it.
If we had a bigger coop, I wouldn’t mind giving her some fertile eggs to hatch, but for now……..
A dog crate raised off the ground on bricks. Roof above to keep the rain off. Food and water.
Let’s see how long it takes….
