Wow - I found you after I did a search for "dark and moody living room." I recently (late November 2022) got "brave" enough to paint an accent wall in my extremely bright light living room that gets light through a long narrow "ranch style" window facing south and a huge picture window facing west. After watching several videos about "painting a black accent wall" I searched for colors and settled on Limousine Leather by Behr in a Satin finish, and I have fallen absolutely in love with the room. It's amazing how changing even one wall's color can create an entirely new mood and inspiration for decorating. I love the planter you showed that your Bird of Paradise is now in. Tahari is a great decor resource (and when I was still working I bought of lot of his labeled clothing because they suited my style so well). How sweet that you care enough about your Bird of Paradise to get a mini-humidifier for it, that really touched me. We people also need moisture inside our homes with the heating during the winter and the AC going during hot summers. Where I live the winters are harsh and the heat inside dries everything out, including my skin, my hair and my body overall! I've resorted to the old-fashioned (and cheap) way of trying to add moisture to the air by putting shallow dishes of water (which need to be refilled daily) on the floor in front of my heating vents! It works (sort of), but they're ugly. I had no idea such small humidifiers were made, I will definitely shop for some now. I have bought a lot of decor from H&M Home - they have great prices and I've never been disappointed quality wise with the items I've purchased from it. Unfortunately there is no H&M Outlet where I live, but I order online. LOVE H&M Home. I think your room is going to be gorgeous when completed. It’s wonderful that you get such good lighting so you’re really able to dive into a range of colors. I was so excited to find that humidifier because I’m always trying to balance my decor and the health of my plants. I actually have a much larger humidifier upstairs, but this was a hame changer.
