I’m from the Caribbean and have been following you for the past year. Have enjoyed your travel videos, meaning, you have shown me more of the US, than I would ever know. I really enjoy your “funny “ jokes, I also love to see when your wife is driving. So much more I would love to say but will just enjoy your videos for now. So hello from Trinidad.🎉
That is a great trail! Another tip for those that want to use the shuttle, start your day early! So you can stop for views, to read the historical info, take lunch, whatever and not feel pressed for time to catch the last shuttle bus. Especially if you might have kids or other slower riders with you. The busses don't run for very late in the day. You don't need to be in good shape to just do the downhill portion either. If you can walk a mile you can do that.
Seeing the Hiawatha was so cool! I used to be a volunteer at the Museum of North Idaho in Coeur d'Alene where in the gift shop besides selling things like stickers, we had a good library of books to sell, many of which the museum publishes about the things like the railroad history in the area, the trails, and mining. When you come this way again, be sure to check out the Centennial Trail that runs from Montana all the way to the west coast of Washington. It is over 995 miles with much of it paved. Anyway, if you plan to do this type of biking in an area such as this, I'd like to suggest you carry a canister of bear spray with you at all times or a weapon. Not only good for bear but the moose can be darned stubborn and unfriendly. I alway have one in my car just in case I have to get out and walk. Even good for the two-legged type of animals if necessary. Wildlife is fun to photograph, but I can tell you there are times they are just not friendly, and you can't out run them!
@@bigtruckbigtravels It won't help you out much if it is in the car! Please carry on your person when you are both hiking and biking. When I moved to Idaho basically from the city 12 years ago, one of the first things I was warned about were the moose. You just can't approach a moose and you never turn your back on one. They will charge at you. Funny thing is that I live in a residential neighborhood in Coeur d'Alene. I had a mama moose and her baby camped between my house and my neighbor's place right off my front porch! We have coyotes that run down the streets and just last week, Fish and Game had to remove a young bear from a block away. Fortunately, they moved him to a safer area for him. These animals are cool but you have to respect them, which I am sure you do, but I want you both to be safe whether you are hiking or biking. Thanks for all the great adventures you share with us. I can't wait for Thursdays to see your new video! Have fun!
ONE OF THE MOST UNIQUE VIDEOS YET YOU GUYS! Many of us forget how beautiful this part of the Country really is. I’m amazed at how many people you ran across on the bike expedition. Looking forward to the next video! 🎉
I LOVE your rapport with each other, the way you know each other so well you can complete each other's extemporary sentences with only the first several words. You are like comfortable slippers / moccasins with rabbit fur interiors.
Nothing beats the sound of winning a jackpot on the old silver dollar one armed bandits! These new electronic thief's designed by computer geeks and psychologists to fleece victims rewards you with ding ding dings and points. How unpalatable! That's why I no longer gamble. It's supposed to be FUN.
Thank you for a beautiful video. I enjoyed the bike riding, the boating in the wildlife. Thank you for all the hard work you do for us, RV folks, and allowing us to tag along.
I would never turn you off! The end I’d is the best!! Thanks for sharing your adventures!! I will never get to the places you are going to. I will only visit through your lenses! Thank you!🙏🏻 ❤ stay safe out there!!
SONDRA: I’m with you! 11am - 3am. That’s my day❣️❣️ DAVID: 2nd Whataburger, Fries and Dt Coke YUM❣️❣️ An AMAZING bike ride! I lived the Trussels the best! Cant wait until the next adventure‼️
This was a spectacular adventure! My family just got back home from San Diego. Because of your videos, we drove up to the Reagan Library. It was fantastic! Thank you for sharing your lives with us. I told my husband we WILL be going to that bike trail oneday!! And btw, I will always watch all the way through. 😊
Thanks, Christie! That library is fantastic with such a beautiful setting and the plane presentation is amazing. Always appreciate you hanging in there until the end! 😆 🤣
Thanks for your videos. We watch your channel because we figure if you can get your rig into the places you go then we won’t have an issue getting there with our 38’ toy hauler. Keep up the good work.
Hi Guys , Brenda my wife and I just love watching your journeys and all the information. We loved the route of the Hiawatha Trail, so cool , we also rode it this summer , so to watch your ride was great review for us !! So thanks . Please keep the wheels rolling , hopefully one day our trails will cross , have a coffee , or Whataburger ,lol . Thanks again
How truly Unique an experience very sensory… what beautiful moments you are sharing with one another …Incredible history on this nature trail …thank you as always for taking us along once more … stay blessed looking forward to the next adventure…
We biked that trail 5 years ago and loved it. The only issue we had was going through the long tunnel. I had a very bright light and my wife’s was pretty dim. A rider coming the other direction went to the middle of the trail as soon as they went by me and hit my wife head on. They both went down hard. My wife probably should have had stitches in her finger, but paper towels and duct tape did the job! She is tough and completed the ride. 😂
Now we want to go bike the trail! We take our e-bikes on every trip so I guess we need to head to Idaho! We also have the Bluetooth Sena bike helmets. We have an older version but those helmets are great! When I wrecked my bike in Cortez in April, my head also skidded on the sidewalk. Yep, I ended up with a black eye but boy I won’t ride without a helmet! Very happy with our Senas. Thanks for the video. We always enjoy watching where you go! Jim and Sue West
Have not been to Northern Idaho. Boy I missed the boat on this one. Simply breathtaking. My brother and family have skied there in the Winter, but had no idea how beautiful it is! Think you need a return trip to explore more. ❤ Sondra the photos are just awesome! Love the little beavers swimming, you can see their claws! 😮
The ID length restriction on that route through the Nez Perce territory is targeted at 53' CMV trailers. CMV's can get an annual permit for $20-40 (IIRC) as long as they can meet (legally scale) the drives' center to trailer tandem center min/max length requirement. It's a beautiful drive, but a bit sketchy in winter.
@@jackterry7664 I get a little tired of the jokes, too, but really enjoy their content. Everybody's sense of humor is unique and I know a lot of viewers find David to be very funny. I don't, but that doesn't sop me from enjoying their videos.
Another super cool video! Great bike trail adventure, and awesome scenery. Northern Idaho just went on my bucket list. The camera work is truly amazing. David looks so at home in the boat (hint, hint). Thanks so much, as always. ❤
Good Video! Love the lake! My heart was racing too! We just got in from camping @Possum Kingdom State Park! I am proud of you two on the bike ride! Little pricey on the shuttle! Y’all have a good week. Be Safe!
Good to see we’ve traveled some of the same route. We stayed at Poulsons KOA on the hill. And my family has stopped at lookout pass for meals. Love that area.
48:08 If you're keeping score, I think the point goes to David rather than Sondra; Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake by surface area in the US west of the Mississippi, but only if you are talking about the lower 48 states (so excluding Alaska; it is definitely not the largest natural freshwater lake by surface area in all of North America outside of the Great Lakes as Sondra indicated--think Lake of The Woods at the north end of Minnesota, Iliamna Lake in Alaska, Lake Okeechobee in Florida, Lake Champlain in upstate New York/Vermont, and about 10 others in the US, not to mention scores in Canada and Lake Chapala in Mexico). No matter--Flathead Lake is one beautiful, big, natural freshwater lake and you did a delightful job of capturing it and the wildlife on camera--a real benefit for us not there to see it in person. Thank you.
Totally enjoyed the Hiawatha!! We will be ding it again. One of the best bike routes. Be sure to check out the trails around the lake at Couer d'Alene.
Hi Sondra and David, this was a wonderful video--maybe your best of the season! Love the drone footage at the beginning as you were driving--the valley was beautiful. The bike trail was so unique. Seeing David piloting boat is starting to be a regular occurrence in your videos--is this leading up to something?!
Hello Sondra & David What a wonderful video. Keep going to make me dream through your adventures. France seems so small compared to your huge country. And so impressed by this lake with a clear water, as it was coming out of a faucet….. 👏👏😉💖
Again... you are adding yet another "got to do" to our list of places to stop! Awesome video again! What always worries me about parking on the grass is not only how hard it is when entering but praying it doesn't rain so we can't get out! Safe travels to you!
Me and my wife were there about 25 years ago. But it wasn't as nice as that back then. She has always wanted to go back there. I kept tell her I am sure it is gone by now. This is so funny!!
Would love to do that ride. Probably would take an extra battery for my trike so could ride back without worries. Hope you did not see any bears or mountain lions....
David is such a cornball. A big, cheesy cornball. He's lucky he's married to a long suffering angel. If you're ever in Wisconsin you should look for the Elroy Sparta Rails to Trails bike trail. It's 400 miles of railway tracks converted to bike trails. There are THREE tunnels. My husband and I used to ride sections every summer. Beautiful area.
Well, you are in my neck of the woods! We live in Post Falls - next door to Coeur d Alene. The Hiawatha trail has been done several time by my family. Hope you enjoyed your time in Idaho - God's country. We love it here. Come back some time!
I loved the bike trail and I can not wait to do this!!! One of the best bike trails we have ever done was in GA at Callaway Resort and Gardens. It was amazing, have you been there? We fit our HDT and rig at the Pine Mountain RV resort with plenty of room. We do not have a bike rack on our Smart and the Callaway even let us bring our HDT into the park with our bike on the rack, they told us were to park and we fit there as well. It was HOT so it was nice to have the truck with the AC! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
I'm still enjoying your videos. That Hiawatha trail is awesome. Lol the 50,000 dollar bar, my grandparents donated silver dollars way back at the beginning board #3. Now you are up where I am in Columbia Falls.
I have a silver dollar on the wall of that bar. When you’re sitting on the right side of the bar look straight up and I’m right there. I was 12 years old, 44 years ago.
That was an epic bike trail. Talking about packing enough for a week, we go away for a weekend and my wife packs an entire suitcase. That was some beautiful scenery along the highway. Great video guys. And, another one and Sondra with no jacket, that's epic too!
Same thing happened to me with my drone on our boat, i ALMOST lost it in the water because it wouldnt allow me to land it any lower. i guess the sensors dont like moving objects or a bimini (the top) being in the way. I cut up my hands pretty good with the props slicing them up when I reached up to grab it. haha. Good job getting it down and nice video of the lake. Keep up the good vlogs !
Not sure if this has happened to others but I wanted to let you know that I was unsubscribed for some reason. You may want to mention in one of your future videos to have viewers make sure they are still subscribed. Great job on your videos, they are very informative and help us with planning our future adventures!!!
Hi Guys, absolutely amazing scenery and even more amazing drone footage, I did have a moment when you were out in the boat and I thought the drone was going for a swim. Sondra's riding style looks incredibly relaxed, I was a little worried she was going to nod off to sleep. Incredible vid this week, raising the bar once again. Travel safe.
Glad you enjoyed it and our pleasure, Brendan. I had to modify her bike to get it that way for her! It was a moment for certain on the drone...I was worried it was going to go swimming too! Thanks for watching...and so early too!

Thanks, Susan. We were very surprised with Idaho during our visit. Lots of mountains and rivers which we did not expect. A return trip is a definite.
You've redeemed yourself from the straight bridge joke LOL!
Bird watching while driving is very expensive.
I really needed to! 😆
@@bigtruckbigtravelsI knew you would! You got a couple good ones this time!
Thanks, Tom but there is no way on this earth that I'd attempt that in winter!
Enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing the bike trail, scenery, your camping spots and your background music is great. Amazing adventures.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it.
You can’t even make a tiny little bit of a joke without someone getting offended people need to grow the hill up. Keep it up Mr Dave
Love you guys, thank you for showing us everything ❤
Personally, I get a little tired of the jokes. I only watch because of the great photography and scenery. The rig is awesome too.
To each their own. These videos are mainly for them to look back on; not for our enjoyment. If you do not like the jokes then don’t watch.
@@jackterry7664 I get a little tired of the jokes, too, but really enjoy their content. Everybody's sense of humor is unique and I know a lot of viewers find David to be very funny. I don't, but that doesn't sop me from enjoying their videos.
Thanks, Larry. Got to have fun in this world; otherwise, it'll tear you up. Enjoy today for tomorrow is not a guarantee. Appreciate your support.
Didn’t realize I missed this video. Another great one for sure. Have a good and safe trip.
Thanks 👍 Appreciate your time watching the channel.
I loved the drone footage of you climbing up the mountain.
Thanks. Lots of fun.
Another super cool video! Great bike trail adventure, and awesome scenery. Northern Idaho just went on my bucket list. The camera work is truly amazing. David looks so at home in the boat (hint, hint). Thanks so much, as always. ❤
Idaho is a cool state for sure, Elizabeth. I love the "plug" you put in there for the boat! Thanks for watching
David you are just to much with those jokes. Another beautiful drive. Thanks for taking us with you.
Glad you enjoyed it, Edward. Appreciate your time watching the channel.
The Polson Boondocker is awesome. We stayed there a couple of years ago and went to church with her. Super sweet host! We'll be back.
She's a great host and such a fantastic property. We enjoyed it. Thanks
This was a great video. The lake was so beautiful. I always look forward to my trip every week with y'all. Thank you. Great choices in music.
Glad you enjoyed it, Marcy. Really excited to have you along on the journey. Thanks
That bike trail was amazing! The view spectacular. As always beautiful photography. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you taking the time to watch the channel, Melinda.
I really enjoy the looks on Sondra's face with the dad jokes. Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it. She never knows what I'm going to say on the puns.
I can tell. One thing I do agree with her is no day should start before 11:45am. Wife is generally up at 5:30a.m.
The surprise bike trail was beautiful- definitely worthy of a planned trip
Definitely! Thanks
Good Video! Love the lake! My heart was racing too! We just got in from camping @Possum Kingdom State Park! I am proud of you two on the bike ride! Little pricey on the shuttle!
Y’all have a good week. Be Safe!
That is awesome! That's a neat area in Texas. Hope you had a great trip. Thanks
I totally agree with you Sondra!! Days should begin around noon!! 😊And last until midnight!! 🙂
I am not a morning person either!
She's a noon start kind of person!
Good to see we’ve traveled some of the same route. We stayed at Poulsons KOA on the hill. And my family has stopped at lookout pass for meals. Love that area.
That's very cool, Maria. Beautiful area and so much to see!
Looks like great fun. It’s in my list of places to go. Getting closer to the full time gig! Hiawatha looks super fun!
That's exciting, Marty. Closer every day. Good luck. Thanks for watching the channel.
Another great one guy's.. Your chemistry is wonderful
Thank you so much 😀...I guess so after 35 years! 😆 🤣
@@bigtruckbigtravels I had 40 great yrs with my wife..
I live in Idaho so it’s exciting to discover more places to visit. I’m enjoying your videos.
Awesome! Thank you!
Enjoyed bike ride beautiful. I can’t believe people would wait in line that long for shuttle. Crazy. Keep up the good work.
You and me both! We had no idea on the shuttle so we were very fortunate that we had planned to right back.
Thank you.
😆 🤣 Thanks for watching and the comment. There's a lot of "fine print" for being the "largest"! 😆 Regardless, the water is so clear it's amazing.
So scenic. That country is beautiful. Y’all stay safe. Love your journeys. Gig em
Thank you! Will do! Stay cool this summer!
Another great video. Thank you. 🙏🏼 safe travels 🇺🇸
Our pleasure! Really appreciate your time watching the channel.
So awesome. Beautiful! Thank you for sharing🤠❤️
Glad you enjoyed it, Nancy. Thanks for watching.
Awesome Trip Guys loved it❤
Glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you taking the time to watch the channel.
Totally enjoyed the Hiawatha!! We will be ding it again. One of the best bike routes. Be sure to check out the trails around the lake at Couer d'Alene.
Thanks, Mark. Next time we'll put it on the list. Lots to see in that area. Wow!
HELLO GUYS BEAUTIFUL VIDEO BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY !! I JUST LOVE YOU GUYS !! I PASSED THIS OUT !! BE BLESSED BE SAFE !!
Thank you. So glad you enjoyed it.
Glad you enjoyed it, Pete. Oh... we can only hope it leads to something... but probably not! Just being on the water is great.
Hello Sondra & David
What a wonderful video. Keep going to make me dream through your adventures. France seems so small compared to your huge country. And so impressed by this lake with a clear water, as it was coming out of a faucet….. 👏👏😉💖
Our pleasure! Merci for your kind words. We're excited to have you along on the journey. 😊
Again... you are adding yet another "got to do" to our list of places to stop! Awesome video again! What always worries me about parking on the grass is not only how hard it is when entering but praying it doesn't rain so we can't get out! Safe travels to you!
Thanks again! I tell ya, you're going to need to add another "to do" sheet if you keep watching the channel! 😆 🤣
Me and my wife were there about 25 years ago. But it wasn't as nice as that back then. She has always wanted to go back there. I kept tell her I am sure it is gone by now. This is so funny!!
😆 🤣 that's funny. But, oh, it's still there! Now, you've got to go back!
Would love to do that ride. Probably would take an extra battery for my trike so could ride back without worries. Hope you did not see any bears or mountain lions....
The extra battery would be good. Unfortunately, no bears on this day.
Is there a coffee-table book of your beautiful pictures in your future?? I love how you end your videos with a recap of the days adventures ❤️
Great idea!! But, sadly, no book in the works! But we appreciate your comments. Thanks
Nice music choices. We've made several FL to Flathead lake trips over the years. Epic area.
Glad you like them! Thanks
oh my thanks for sharing the Hiawatha ... my eyes are so thankful to SEE such beauty. Smiles from the North OK Valley =)
Glad you enjoyed it and you have some great scenery up in the OK Valley!
Ya los extrañaba mis amigos Sandra y David, voy a ver el nuevo video. Saludos
Hola, Mi amigo. Thank you!
That sounds cool, Sue. Thanks. The whole family has gotten used to my corny jokes.
Very nice place glad you guy's had a great time. Take care, prayers and safe travels
Thank you very much.
Well, you are in my neck of the woods! We live in Post Falls - next door to Coeur d Alene. The Hiawatha trail has been done several time by my family. Hope you enjoyed your time in Idaho - God's country. We love it here. Come back some time!
Thank you. It's a great area. Very scenic.
Enjoy your videos so much. Look forward to watching you every Thursday! Can’t wait to see you will be next week.
Thanks so much, Kay. Epic adventure & views next week. Hold on!
I am definitely going to ride the Hiawatha Trail. Thanks for another great video!!
Hope you enjoy it! It's a great trail, Doug.
Thank ya'll for taking us on some amazing journeys ❤
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching, Sandra.
Sandra, I have 'Reservations'if David is OK or not.😊 safe travels
😆 🤣 😂 that's good!
Haven't been but it sounds very nice. Thanks
I'm still enjoying your videos. That Hiawatha trail is awesome. Lol the 50,000 dollar bar, my grandparents donated silver dollars way back at the beginning board #3. Now you are up where I am in Columbia Falls.
That is awesome! So, cool about your grandparents.
@@bigtruckbigtravels enjoy your time up here. Looking forward to that video.
Didn't realize how Beautiful Idaho is. Loved the whole video. Love the jokes 😅. Both of you are Awesome!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks, Cyndy for your kind words. 😘
I have a silver dollar on the wall of that bar. When you’re sitting on the right side of the bar look straight up and I’m right there. I was 12 years old, 44 years ago.
Wow! That's incredible and part of history. So cool! Thanks
Hello from Coeur d’Alene. Doing the Hiawatha tomorrow ourselves !!!!!
Sweet! Enjoy!
I love watching their videos. Always having fun together.
Thank you. We enjoy this lifestyle.
That was an epic bike trail. Talking about packing enough for a week, we go away for a weekend and my wife packs an entire suitcase. That was some beautiful scenery along the highway. Great video guys. And, another one and Sondra with no jacket, that's epic too!
Couldn't agree more! Anytime the parka comes off is epic! 😆 🤣
I've got to see if I can disable it on flight. Hmmm...
Like the spots you find and someday hope we get there to see them ourselves. We are from Atlatic Canada, great photography
That would be cool! Hope that happens for you.
Not sure if this has happened to others but I wanted to let you know that I was unsubscribed for some reason. You may want to mention in one of your future videos to have viewers make sure they are still subscribed. Great job on your videos, they are very informative and help us with planning our future adventures!!!
Thank you. That's weird. Not sure why RUclips would unsubscribe anyone but you're the third person who has mentioned it. Thanks
Beautiful scenery. Thanks for having me alone.Love you too
You are so welcome, Brad. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video. That trail system looks incredible
Thank you. It was unbelievable and so unique.
Another fantastic video. See y’all next week. Safe travels.
Thanks 👍See ya!
I enjoy you two so much! I truely cant wait for your next video!!!!!!😂
Yay! Thank you! Next week is epic!
Once again incredible footage.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching
I just can't wait for Thursdays. Thanks again
Thanks, Susan. You're very kind.
Watching your adventures is so fascinating and you make watching so enjoyable you a very special couple 💕 Thank You for sharing your journey with us. Safe Travels 😎
Our pleasure! Deja vu?!? 😆 Thank you
