I purchased one of those power packs off of Amazon. My husband was not thrilled with my purchase. Now it is with him all the time. It has saved us numerous times.
It rained the whole time we were in Savannah, but we enjoyed it anyway. Next time you're there, we recommend eating at Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room at 107 West Jones Street. They serve every southern dish imaginable family style. You sit at large tables with strangers and pass around the platters of food that the servers keep bringing to your table. It was good food! Meeting other people was fun too.
I grew up in Savannah and never knew about all the things that are now apart of the tours. So one day when I visited my hometown after many years I took a guided tour to learn and see many of the sights I missed growing up.
Great surprise and just what I needed to watch with Presley my all black 1 year old super handsome kitty who watches with me and those ears are moving and his front paws. ❤️🐈⬛❤️

You can put a battery switch on your car to keep it from discharging. Yes. You can see dolphin from the shore… almost daily on the Carolina beaches. They like it cooler in the day and follow schools of fish. Beautiful footage you guys!❤
Back when we were "newbies", we got caught by missing the "truck exit" somewhere in upstate New York. Thankfully the road was not well travelled (at that time anyway 😀) and the median was flat and grassy, so we were able to complete an illegal U-turn without having to call the authorities to help us out of our bind! As soon as we got home from that trip, we purchased a trucker's atlas of sorts that listed every single low-lying bridge in North America. We also measured the height of our RV in both metres and feet and posted it on the dashboard of the truck. You can't be too careful! Great video 🙂
Tybee is our favorite spot. Dolphin watching tip: go to the end of Polk Street walk the path and youll be at the end of the river/ocean: dolphins are always there all the time! We carry kayaks with us and we paddle WITH the dolphins...just marvelous:)

Thanks, beautiful video, I'll admit, I did check to see how much longer... We got married in Savannah 10 years ago & can't wait to return. Now, I really can't wait.
Re: car not starting. I pulled into the gas station recently, tried to restart the car and nothing...tried a few more times, nothing. Popped the hood and tried to adjust the battery cable and nothing. I pulled the key and tried again and it started so I went straight to our local NAPA and had the battery checked, the battery was good. My mechanic son, who owns the same brand car had the same experience and told me if it happens again to pull the key, flip it over and retry to start, it was the key fob. I have not had another bad experience since. Is worth a try. Enjoy your videos, those of us who have wanderlust running through our veins even enjoy the corny jokes David 🤪 safe travels.

Thanks for a great video. I've never been to Savanah. It is a really beautiful city. My hubby and I have been to Garden City, SC a few times and every morning when the ocean was smooth as glass we would see schools of dolphins breaking the water not 20 feet from shore. We enjoyed sitting out on our balcony watching them. It was so peaceful.
That's cool, Linda. Garden City is nice... away from the bustle of Myrtle Beach and it gives you that true Beach vibe. The restaurant on the sound side is pretty good. Thanks for watching the channel.
As someone who scrapbooks…I’m laughing at the photo ops you’ve dragged your husband to, trying to get the perfect picture of a flower, and making a u-turn for stickers 😂🤣
One year ago at this time we were in Savanah and Tybee Island. We also toured the fort. So glad to see it all again. We also biked Hilton Head. We had 10 days and loved it all. Enjoyed your video.❤️
Panama City Beach Florida has dolphins almost every morning for sure. We would just stand outside on the balcony of our timeshare condo and watch them play in the water and was incredible.
Hi guys!! Really enjoyed this video today. Sondra, I say the same thing to hubby when we see a Hobby Lobby truck!! 😂 I've spent the last couple days packing my 3 craft bags to take when we hit the road in a couple weeks. Left one bag empty for what I find at Hobby Lobby next Saturday. My kids gave me a gift card to Hobby Lobby for Mother's Day. Meeting 2 of my daughter's for my birthday lunch then we're going shopping. Two out of 4 daughter's like to craft with me. 🥰 Thanks for bringing us along, beautiful scenery!! 💜
Oh my, Carol. You have the same "bug" that Sondra and our daughter have... if you pass a Hobby Lobby and don't stop, you feel sick! Lol 😆 😆 Good idea to have an extra bag and good luck on hitting the road smoothly! Thanks for watching.
On your hot water heater I keep a spare set of the thermostat an relay with me all the time in my Coach . If you get the least of a power surge when you are plugged into different camp ground they will burn out very easily even with a surge protector.
Hi, Michael, yes, we fulltime RV travel 365 days. No house, no plot of land and we don't "winter" anywhere. Usually, we stay 1-2 weeks in an area and then hit the road to the next place. We enjoy sharing our experiences with everyone. Glad you stopped by. Hope you enjoy the channel.
Wow what an epic video. Had to stop at intermission on Thursday night to get popcorn and use the bathroom. Got distracted and finished last night. I enjoyed the video.
I had to stop the video about 3/4 the way through , but I loved going to Savannah, so much to do and see, by the way we did the grave shift tour of the cemetery. learned a lot, went to the Island and did you guys get to see Forest Gump's bench he sat on and told his story? the kids from the south learn at a very young age about Nascar and we were getting on the street car tour bus and one little guy said he liked my Chevy Race team hat, so I gave him mine. We were back there around 2003 or 4, but it has been one of my favorite memories. One memory we had was the light house on Tybee Island. We had flown back east for my son's graduation from boot camp and he was with us and he being in fine physcal shape ran up the stars of the light house, My wife and I thought we were going to die. When we got back down we came across a 4 year old boy and his mom. She was trying to talk the boy to climb the stars and explaining the historical significance of the light house and how wonderful it would be to climb the stairs. The little boy told his mom he didn't think he was old enough to have such a significant experience. we had to turn our backs so they could not see us die laughing
That was very nice with the hat. Lots of stairs to be sure. It was definitely along video, don't blame you for shutting it down after an hour or so! Lol 😆 Beautiful area. That's great about your son graduating and spending some time with him. Good memories. Thanks
Im a local just on the outskirts of Savannah a few towns out… Savannah had always reminded me of Europe I grew up with cafes outdoors … cobblestone streets VERY OLD HISTORY compared to Savannah .its certainly a wonderful town to walk around in and truly beautiful …as a gardener it fills my soul yes quite a huge jump from the Alps and the snows to the Swamps and the heat but I’ve learned all locations have their own unique beauty… you have captured her in a wonderful video happy you were able to experience her maybe next visit we can meet and show you some Southern hospitality… stay safe stay blessed …
Thanks, Isabella. It certainly has a different vibe and SCAD adds to it with a unique atmosphere and activity around the town. I can see the European flair in parts of the city. That would be great to meet next time.
Rand McNally is the best for truckers! I'm a trucker and forgot I had a rand McNally last time I went OTR. I learned lol. My Garmin glitches and it tries to send me down roads I can't go on. So go with rand McNally ASAP! It's more updated and much better. I'm getting rand McNally for my truck ASAP and put Garmin in my car lol
i can highly recommend a NOCO GB40 jump start pack i have even started a truck with mine available on AMAZON lol watched further and you already have it covered
I've got the gb 70, only needed it once so far, but it got my 5.9 cummins diesel started on a very cold day, so I could get to the battery store and replace the previous batteries which were 10 years old. I should have changed them sooner but the NOCO did its job.
Been there so many times always interesting. Something new every time. Period that was back when I owned the house in Augusta Georgia. But partying in Savannah on a weekend was so much fun.
What a wonderful trip with you guys in Savannah! That looks like an amazing place and we absolutely love all the older buildings and the trees! And your critique of the Porta-Potty was too funny! Thanks for sharing!❤️~Wendy
Our pleasure, Wendy! Such a great place stuffed with history and beauty. We were shocked on the port-a-potty. So clean! Thank you for watching the channel.
After doing construction work with my hubby for almost 30 years, all over the Pacific Northwest, I can appreciate how shocked you’d be at a clean Porta-Potty. Not many out there 🤣 Glad you found one👍🏼 Take care and safe travels 😎
Thanks, Brian! 😃 It's our life on the road. We produce the videos for our memories but they seem to have caught on as our channel has grown quite a bit. We enjoy this lifestyle and experience new areas. This summer is just getting started. We'll see you next week.
Being a US Submarine Sailor, we did a lot of European Port Visits. My most rememberable visit was going to Bremerhaven Germany and visiting Bunker Valentine. It was a very remote, very secret German U Boat factory built by Jewish War Prisoners in the middle of the German Country Side. The Brits Discovered it and let them finish it just till they started building the first U Boats. Then the US and Brits bombed the hell out of it. As a US Submarine Sailor, It was an amazing tour and a permeant memory! The engineering and size of that structure was AMAZING! For a very interesting read, please GOOGLE it. The second time you turned the key on the smart car, I shouted "DEAD BATTERY!!!" My wife thought I had lost my mind! LOL! Any time you get a ton of random DTC Codes, weird messages and strange dash warnings, THINK BATTERY/POWER issue. Do you have a Dianostic Scanner for normal vehicles? I highly recommend getting one if you don't.
Great story and fantastic visit. Thanks for sharing. No scanner but we have a battery charger/starter that we now keep in the Smart. Thanks for watching
Here is a thought on your new power pack/ jump start . Just something to know on a lot of those boxes . I know this is going to sound stupid BUT if your battery is completely completely dead a lot of those jump start boxes will not work. YOU HAVE GOT TO HAVE SOME POWER IN YOUR BATTERY YOU ARE TRYING TO JUMP START. So it take power to get power. That one may not be like that but there is a great chance that it is. Hope it works well for you if you need it. Thanks for your video’s. We went to Savanna five or six years ago an saw some of the stuff you saw . The boat you was pointing at while you was on the paddle boat. We have our pictures in front of it . Thanks
The Garmin has a memory card slot in the back. So if the problem is it freezing up maybe put a 32 gig sd card into it. I drive truck and mine used to do the same until I put the memory card. Good luck
Thank you so much for showing us beautiful Savannah and Tybee Island, oh how I would love to visit there. As usual your video shots and photographs were outstanding. I'm a tree lover and live in Pacific NW (so we've got some beauties) but those huge gnarled oaks with the hanging moss are outstanding. So romantic! As usual I look forward to next Thursday for your next adventure and whatever Handyman Deluxe David is fixing. 😊
Our pleasure! We love the redwoods and sequoia trees up there but the live oaks are truly unique with the moss. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it.... oh, maybe I'll take a "handyman" break next week! 😆 🤣

Good to hear that, Martha. We love having ours as an insurance policy! It stays in the car under the seat.

Glad you enjoyed it, Gail! It was beautiful and unexpected.

That's a great suggestion. I may keep a spare. Thanks
Big man, you were on fire this week. What an absolutely beautiful place.
😆 🤣 Thanks, Brendan! It was a marathon for certain. Glad you enjoyed it.
Cheers from across the pond…American living in England. Love your videography!
Awesome, thank you, Kennis! Cheers from the other side of the pond.
Thank you for a wonderful vlog!! I really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful places you shared. Also, thank you for all the work putting this together.
Glad you enjoyed it, Karen! We enjoy sharing our experiences with everyone. Thanks for watching.
Thanks another great video. We enjoyed seeing Savannah. We usually watch this after we have dinner. It is part of our evening tv shows.
Nice. I like that routine, Sheila.
your not boring, you two are funny
Thank you!
what great photograpy of beautiful Savanah. Been through there twice and still not ehoiugh time.
Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil is a very good read.
I need to get it sometime, Vicki. It's a cool setting for sure.
Do both of you Rv full time and keep going coast to coast seeing all the beautiful sights
Sonny Bono was good glad you SHERed that with us
😆 🤣 Thanks. That's funny... might steal that one!
Wow what an epic video. Had to stop at intermission on Thursday night to get popcorn and use the bathroom. Got distracted and finished last night. I enjoyed the video.
😆 🤣 Thanks, Chris. You had to get into "viewing shape" for this one! Appreciate you hanging in there on both nights!
Our Garmin is doing the same thing. Thanks for sharing, I will try unplugging.
You're welcome. I think it's an over-heating issue. If we stop during the day for lunch, I'll unplug it until we're ready to roll.
Love watching! She is one great travel partner!!
That she is, John. Super helpful.
Love your videos, thank you for taking us along on your journeys.
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching.
Best video yet! Great job David :)
Wow, thanks! We really appreciate your comments and your time watching the channel. 😃
You got that right. We'll still use both but depend more on the Rand McNally. Thanks 😄
i can highly recommend a NOCO GB40 jump start pack i have even started a truck with mine available on AMAZON lol watched further and you already have it covered
Thanks. I'm glad that's a good unit. Whew!
I've got the gb 70, only needed it once so far, but it got my 5.9 cummins diesel started on a very cold day, so I could get to the battery store and replace the previous batteries which were 10 years old. I should have changed them sooner but the NOCO did its job.
I enjoy watching you guys thank you !
Our pleasure, Roland! Thanks for hanging in there on this one and watching it! 😆 🤣 We appreciate your time watching the channel. 😃
That church is so so beautiful. I wish you would show more churches in your travels. That was awaesome. Thank you.
We enjoy seeing different locations and sights. This was a gorgeous church and really enjoyed spending time inside. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks
What a fantastic place to visit thanks for taking me along
You're welcome, Mike. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
Been there so many times always interesting. Something new every time. Period that was back when I owned the house in Augusta Georgia. But partying in Savannah on a weekend was so much fun.
Oh, I bet. There's a lot of little taverns and such. Thanks
🤍🌵🌵🌵a big hug from Arizona! we are real followers of the channel❤❤✨️

@@bigtruckbigtravels I saw the whole thing!
Lol you're welcome ❤️
I just love Savannah. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome, Marcy. Thanks for watching and joining us on this journey.
Hey David, I'm glad I could help out with the advice on the Garmin.😊
Thank you so much, Edward. It's helped a lot!
I like your travels around the country , with a new adventure all the time . Stay safe and enjoy your day. 😊
Thanks, Brian! 😃 It's our life on the road. We produce the videos for our memories but they seem to have caught on as our channel has grown quite a bit. We enjoy this lifestyle and experience new areas. This summer is just getting started. We'll see you next week.
Great video. I have always loved Savannah just so relaxing there.
Glad you enjoyed it! What an amazing amount of history in the area. Thanks
Another great video, Savannah is where we kind of home base out of...
Neat area. Nice weather. We enjoyed it.
Wharfs run parallel to the shore, while piers run perpendicular or at an angle to the shore.
Thanks, James. That makes sense.
REALLY enjoyed your show & the tour of Savannah❤️❤️👍👍🙏🙏👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for watching, Carol.
That was great. Brought back so many memories of our trips there. Travel safe.
Glad you enjoyed it, Edward. Neat place to visit.
great video again thank you for bringing us along again
Our pleasure, Dale! Thank you for watching.
I really enjoyed this video! Beautiful sites and history! Thanks so much!
Glad you enjoyed it, Cathy. Thanks for coming along on the journey and spending time on the channel. We appreciate it.
Savanah is on our bucket list
It's a cool place, Joe. Lots of stuff to see.
Thanks
That's cool, Kathy. Thanks. Our power pack has a charging feature as well as jump start. It's worked great.
The Garmin has a memory card slot in the back. So if the problem is it freezing up maybe put a 32 gig sd card into it. I drive truck and mine used to do the same until I put the memory card. Good luck
Ok... good idea. If it persists then we'll try that. Thanks!
Glad you had a good time with the crew and hope you got some shrimp and grits. Love me some low country shrimp and grits:).
Great time and the low country shrimp and grits were awesome!
Could also install an RVI Towed vehicle charger on the Smart car to keep it charged up when stored on the truck
Good idea. I'll look into it. Thanks
