The girls are talented. That intro and the build up slap. The dancing is on point. The vocals are on point. The visuals are on point. It feels like this song is a medley that showcase the various genres they can do (Pick and mix?). But, put together in one song is, as you said, a bit of a mess and confusing. It is not a song I would enjoy listening to multiple times unfortunately. But let's wish them a successful career and I look forward to hearing more of their songs in the future, as they have a lot of of potential.

actually, they admit that it was a new sound for general population and that is why lots were confused listening to it. i think this song is either u like it or u hate it. it sounds messy from the start but when you understand the structure of it, maybe you can enjoy it because i did. the transition part is the confusing part for me at first and i think it could’ve been alot better if its tweaked a lil bit. All in all, i like both of their songs and the girls are clearly talented and hardworking. They are very stable in their performances despite the hard choreo. Plus they are also great at variety shows.
Your reaction is funny and honestly, I loved the aggressive intro most too ( idk why people prefer the middle part more).I think you forgot to change the lyrics to english ( they were essentially saying its a teaser and they know most of us probs not gonna like it, but calm down regardless). The pirate ship in the intro shows up in the clouds in the middle part. They have this dual/multiple world concept that has an underwater/siren- ish touch to it. Hence the beginning it's dark and gloomy, gets bright and fairytail-ish in the middle and comes back to the reality in the end.

I have the impression that jyp wanted to try a new concept for nmixx, but it wasn't executed very well. the music itself isn't bad, but the melody changes don't intertwine and bring this feeling of mess and confusion. The issue with this comeback is very complicated, because the girls are great but the MV seems to have many parts similar to several other Kpop MVs, people are talking a lot about Ateez because it's the most evident (I swear I noticed about 5 scenes that is identical to other Ateez MVs), but there are several others that if you look at it, you can't even tell that they are different MVs. The b-side is way better than the title, and I hope they see that they screwed up on their debut and bring a worthy comeback, because they are so talented. Kisses from Brazil. 💋💋👏👏😍
