love the mentality! im in same boat, just started out oval track dirt racing just raced my 2nd race ever last weekend. I have built everything myself and I'm really struggling but know I will appreciate it more in the end when I get better and faster, thanks for the videos they are so helpful to me !
Thank you sir! I believe this is the most rewarding way to do it all.
Thanks for the summit racing shout out 😎 appreciate it
Thank you sir!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I AGREE WITH YOU 100%!!!!! GREAT VIDEO AND A GREAT PRODUCT!!!! GREAT FOR A DAILY DRIVER!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
Thank you sir!
I have the Edelbrock Performer RPM (similar to the 060 mentioned in the video) on a mild cammed 353 TBI K1500 pickup.
Before I rebuilt the engine, I tried to break the ass end of the truck loose on a rainy day.... no good. It was one legged and I thought my diff was worn out.
But my new Vortec 353 got that diff to lock up and start fishtailing on dry pavement.. Huge difference!
I'm a fan of these dual plane intakes for low end setups.
Yessir they are great for mild street performance! Great low end throttle response.
Good Unboxing video! Hey on those steam return holes, it's good to go like that if wanted. The design is intended for you to plumb those to ports into the top of the water pump because the issue it solves is hot spotting at the rear of the heads. I did like you and just plumbed from back to front but the correct method is actually just back to the water pump. Just an FYI there on your options. Keep pluggin bud cause the season is starting!
Right on thanks for the info jason! Your street stock is coming along nicely. We both have our work cut out for us this season lol
We are doing everything we can on our own aswell. Hand a polishing crankshaft the other night on one episode. Saving money.
Yessir youre a 90%er for sure.
I have the weiand street warrior on one of my circle track 355 flat top vortec headed engines, it seems good for the smaller tracks but a 4/10 mile she seemed to flatten out about mid strait away
Ya really need a single plane for high rpm tracks
I have one of them on my 383. Cant beat it for the price works great got what it is
Thank you sir!
Have it on my 1980 camaro 350 lunati cam vortec heads with z28 springs, triton retainers intake isn’t bad, gives good low end mid and high range .it’s a tall intake had to get a 2in filter cleaner for hood to shut,,,worth the $$$
Yessir i agree
Looks good
Thank you les!
Whats the correct Intake Gaskets for this? Fel-Pro part #?
Be sure to use a phanelic 1 in carb spacer to shield your carb from heat
Yessir thank you!
Hey haven't seen you guys on for awhile hope everything is well. Dude Evan if you don't have video ready to put. On just check in so we'll know you guys are doing good 👍 your going to have that thing ready for Bristol right....lol
Thanks tony, we are doing alright. Just not much interesting stuff to film in the shop right now. There will be a new video soon
Amen brother
Thanks!
Was going to swap TBI Chev. Part s on a vortec... I used to race. Street
Vortec heads are much better than tbi heads
part number 226060 is NOT a vortec intake manifold , it has standard bolt holes locations
Do vortec heads have to have the rear coolant passageways you mentioned in video?
No they dont. Its just a modification for racing.
I have a 99 s10 4.3 vortec which intake fit that engine
Not sure on the 4.3 stuff man
I bought a marine that look similar to that one from summit racing and it was $560 before tax
Dang. Was it worth it?
marine version has the coolant passages brass plated.
@Frigglebiscuit Yes it is
I think that intake has a spread bore, the marine one.
SUM-226062 is designed for 1500-6500 rpm while the the SUM-226060 is designed for idle-5500 rpm.
Very nice!
The 226060 is not for vortec heads
Thanks. But SUM-226060 is not for Vortec heads.
Have you tested it yet? & if you did how does it perform?
It worked great!
@@CherezianRacing it hasn't cracked or anything?
@@oscarvillarreal8951 no sir
@@CherezianRacing do you recommend it?
@@oscarvillarreal8951 for the price you cant beat it
Best gasket felpro .MS980000T
