Your completely absence of silly and stupid comments when "things did not go well." Completely enjoyable. Patient. Informative. Educational. Saved me a lot, as I consider buying this same unit....
Thank you so much! I bought one of these at online auction in North Fort Worth - I’ve been slowly figuring it out on my own, but your video makes it so much more helpful!
Man thank you for putting this video together! I picked up one of these from auction last week and haven't messed with it. Now I know what to look forward to. I do have a good hydraulics shop nearby, so hopefully they can put together a new hose for the nitrogen tank vs having to use the old valve like you did. BTW, on the aux hydraulic ports in one way flow your "in" port should be the female flat face coupler, and the "return" should be the male flat face coupler (which makes sense considering the case drain port is also a male flat face just 3/8" vs 1/2").
Glad you figured it out. They can be useful, I have looked for one for a while but never found a deal. Around here auctions are obsolete, people pay way too much .
I just picked up the larger ZW-750 (11/24) at auction. The hoses were long enough for my machine (Case TV-380), and both the nitrogen bottle and the breaker were charged.
This was a action packed video Chris, very interesting indeed, hope it keeps on working for you, it will be very handy with your construction business.
I'm in the same boat right now. Bought one for $1100 at an auction. I got it filled with nitrogen tonight and realized the hose are too short. Good thing about it is I paid half of what they retail for and and would of had to put the money into it anyways. Thanks for sharing your experience. I now know the problem is the Chinese equipment not me lol
Please add this to your link and video to help everyone who has bought the post pounder or hammer. Step 1 Throw the nitrogen bottle provided with the unit away. It is an unmarked bottle with an oxygen fitting. Safe to say not too many gas suppliers are not going to fill it. Step 2 Order or go to your local weld supply shop and order a Western Enterprises fitting # 415 it's actual part name is Adaptor CGA-580-540 while you are there rent or buy a filled Nitrogen bottle. Step 3 You now are ready to use all the parts provided with the unit. Took me a bit to figure out the parts but when done it works good. I have picture just not sure I can ad them on here. It's about a $25 fitting but hope this saves everyone some headaches. Have a good day
We will replace nitrogen cylinders and valves with American standards in February of this year. The problem will be solved by then. We're sorry for the trouble
I bought a 750? post pounder have been all over the place trying to get tank filled and they all laugh that it seems to be an oxygen valve in tank and refuse to fill because no labels on tank. I woulds not advise anyone to buy these. No manuals on how to assemb;lle or use.
Bought this same one but having trouble finding the adapter for the tank. Can you please give the part number or the contact info for the place that you were able to get one. Thank you.
I'm glad to see you got it going. Looks like it was a bit of a pain. I'd been eyeballing the larger 750 unit, but ended up getting an indeco hp750 off auction for 1700$, which is an absolute steal, because as you said these breaker units are insanely pricey. Still, it's good to know that these work well, and the issues surrounding them. I've also been eyeballing the forestry mulcher made by agrotk. If you do one of those reviews let me know! Lol
i got same one from ritchie bros auction, the hoses fit on same machine case sv185, the hammer starts and stops of its own accord, not used it for work yet, will report back when i do, Australia.
I bought the same one at a auction and mine wouldn’t hammer. Took it all apart and the valve was sticking slightly. Put it all back together and still won’t work. I put as much hydraulic flow that my machine could handle and then it started to work. Seems like it needs more flow to keep it running reliably.
CAN YOU POST WHAT THE ACTUAL OLD TANK NEEDED TO ADAPT TO NEW TANK? IS IT CO2 THREADS ON CHINESE TANK? TRYING TO GET MINE TO WORKB BUT UNABLE TO ADAPT BY WLEDING SHOP OR HYDRAULIC SHOP
great video . I was actually bidding on that same item im still up in the air about it but for the price may be worth it. even at 1500 does it matter if you have High Flow or not?
Always fun trying to get off brand💩 to work.. Looks like it kinda works... Flow direction and volume can be very important... If you have enough lift, you can use it for pounding fence posts too, just need a flat hammer. Should work out alright, especially for the price!
Definitely get what you pay for 🤦♂️ It's working pretty good now though. The company that makes this actually does make post pounders too. I imagine it's the same unit, but has a mushroom head on it. Thanks Ed!!
if you bought one and you’re here for information, the hoses need to be extended 2-3 feet and you have to fill the bottle with nitrogen and the hammer to 225-250psi
Hello I’m in BC Canada, I got one from the Auction, the hoses were to short and the fittings are “strange” 1/2” npt straight thread ! The flange “yellow parts” did not meet the mounting plate worth sh*t ! Bolts were previously installed, Received the wrong tool kit, no regular thingy! (Kit was for small engine). Ordered regulator/filler from Amazon ! Hammer had gas in it already. Bottle was MT. Haven’t gone down the “odd fittings” problem yet, for the Nitrogen. The actual Hammer works great! Broke about 12 yards of rock (not concrete) so far with no problems except a small leak on the “in” fitting ! I’m Happy so far 👍 FIY Hooked to a 743 Bobcat
I just bought one of these from steffes auction group in Minnesota i was just wondering were you got the adapter for your charging regulator my welding supply company didn't have a clue
Hi, I have the similar New Holland machine with proportional valve toggle switch. My switch has a diagram to the right it looks like a female coupler(on machine) and the left a male diagram. Does that not indicate which side is being pressured, ie push the toggle to the right the female coupler is providing flow and male return ? Which coupler did you end up hooking the in port to ? Using right direction still to operate ? Thanks
hello from the Netherlands . on your skid steer loader there are three couplings next to each other that is 1st flow - return - 2nd flow isn't it? . shouldn't the "out" of the hammer just be on the return of the machine? . At least that's how it works with excavators here . and so you can not put flow pressure on the wrong side of the hammer because "IN" = flow and "out" = return then thanks for the video . Sincerely Hollandduck
It seems like part of the problem is you keep moving forward with the machine while youre trying to use the hammer instead of just hold the machine still in one place. Looks like it is putting leverage on the anvil keeping it from functioning correctly.
Well dang Mr Chris, that finally worked out for ya!! I bet there were a few times you regretted your choices ...but in the end, you won!! Wow, that is a very small fraction of other name brands!! Those fittings can be a bear, ran into something similar one time!! You will LOVE it on your excuse if you make that plate!! Use ours everyday 😉😁 Very well out together video my friend, and enjoyed every min of it!! Can't wait to see what's next!!! 😁😁😁👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I was definitely wondering if I made the wrong choice and if I would be taking this to the next auction to sell... If I can get a few years out of it, it will definitely have been worth the hassle. Absolutely want to make a plate to put it on the mini. Thank you sir for your continued support 🙂
I'm sorry I do not have any part numbers. I just got the new standard tank and took it to the hydraulic shop where they were able to find fittings to adapt everything together.
I figured it was Chinese 😆 The frame is very heavy built, just not sure how long the internal parts will last.... I have cat like reflexes so I didn't get crushed 😉😁🤣🤣

Me too! We keep finding rocks we want to hammer 🤣 Our local Spring auction is like that- people usually overpay.
@@dehavenfamilyfarm I hope you can keep it working, That has to be an easier way to deal with rocks!

Thank you for doing this vidieo. I was at a RB auction a few weeks ago and almost put a bid on it looks like the very same model.

What din fittings came on the hoses? I can't figure out how to adapt it.
I bought a fitting for each tank and transferred the gas in the China one. And used a 1/4 “ brass connector to join them together

Do you have a zero pressure return line hooked up on this machine to run breaker? Or just using the factory hydraulics?
Just factory hydraulics. The hammer only came with the two hoses- no case drain.
