The way Ryan was before the fight shows he wasnt ready. The pacing back and forth, the self-talk trying to psych himself out of what he's feeling. He's never been in that position of pressure. He wasn't ready.
He wasn't ready indeed. But what's admirable is despite the immense mental pressure - He stood tall and clear, unwilling to back away from the storm that was approaching him. He still had a chance to go back to the locker room and called it quits, but he still pressed on and faced his fate nevertheless. I've bad-mouthed him a lot of times prior to this fight, But now I give my respects and apologies to him.

Had to watch this several times in slomo. He's feeling the hook, ducking, stepping in and throwing his own ...all in less than a second. Also he's not actually looking at the target at that point. His size is helping here as well. He may have figured this out to suit his height. Impressive.
Yeah Ryan should've stayed patient and established the jab, straight rights, throwing the hook to the body for awhile so that Tank has to bring his hands down. But he's too damn dependent and confident in that left hook. On that knockdown, the 2nd to last view I believe, look how wide and far back Ryan threw that shh. I get goosebumps watching these SHOWTIME All Access videos because they're so very well made. All the lights and glamour and action is so exhilarating.
The difference between the 2 in this fight particularly was mentality...Ryan had a slight edge of nervous energy..which was why he got carried away throwing punches upon punches. Tank came across as the more calmer minded fighter in his demeanour...and it showed...he withstood the onslaught, kept absorbing and striked Ryan out of nowhere...that changed the fight..Ryan never was the same after the first knock down

I don't think it would have made much of a difference though. Even Ryan said once the fight started going he felt fine. Tank just put on a great display of defense and counter-punching ability. I'm honestly just happy the fight happened, and I think Ryan deserves respect for fighting to get this fight. Of course, he needed to shit talk a little to get it. I think he respects Tank though. I can't say for sure....but this episode was special. It felt like art, not just a regular documentary. Would not be shocked if this All-Accesss Tank v. Ryan was nominated for an award or two. He tested his skills against other great boxers and won that means he gets a title shot. He made a right decision. Oscar is in it for the money he didn't fight big names in his time if u think he is a good guy and experienced you need to watch more boxing.

Ali was the baddest man on the planet, and was earning millions when other sports-people were not close. Floyd got a taste of that via Oscar in 2007 but it took him five years until 2012 to make one of his own and he has not looked back since and let's be fair dominated the sport in terms of eyeballs, coverage and money, even to this day and he is retired.
