A lot of reports from people saying the Wizards aren't spawning for them. Are you seeing the text at the bottom right "A Secret-Keeper of the Witch Queen is near..." after defeating the final boss? If so, there's a chance that maybe it appears in different locations on the map, so search around the area. I checked with a lot of other people and all of them appeared in the same 3 locations I showed in the video, but maybe it's just a coincidence. Other than that, maybe there's another per-requisite for it that's tied to post campaign quests or progression.

I did all that and then nothing spawned at the end of the landing, which was my last one. So I returned to orbit and then 5 minutes later I saw this video. Although I wouldn't have been able to start the Exotic Quest at least I would have been able to unlock it.
You survived without Vex and Anarchy. If you only knew how good they were. Im not sure if I feel bad or I’m jealous. It hurt real bad when they killed Anarchy.
As much as I love secret exotic missions, I feel like something like the exotic class items should have had more direction and instruction with how crazy they are and how important they are in the marketing.

Thanks for the exotic mission unlock guide, think gonna pass this one. Not only it is "forced" duo fireteam to complete it and the exotic mission itself is taking long time to complete it. Plus, there is a good chance you will get booted by the host before you can get the exotic, Bungie should disable the boot fireteam members option during final moments/encounter finished. Just gonna wait if they released another exotic class item that is "solo" farmable in the future
It only takes long because it’s your first time doing it duh. Make your own fireteam and you don’t have to worry about being kicked(people like to over exaggerate this part). 😊
It's one of the best missions in the game, and is absolutely worth the time and effort. It's almost like a 2 man dungeon, that's how good it is. There are guides and plenty of lfg resources for you to use, it's absolutely worth it. Also that booting thing rarely happens. I've gone through plenty of dungeons and exotic missions, and a few raids, never had that happen

I heard once you unlock the quest you can use fireteam finder to find a player. I’m gonna unlock it today if you wanna run it I’m a solo player and I need those class items lmao Once you do the quest they can drop from world chest so it’s for sure worth it
@@gameknightx I got it to work by fast traveling away and coming back. not sure if this matters, but I had a pathfinder boss fight thing in refraction the first time I went in there. I cleared that out, fast traveled away. then fast traveled and went back to refraction. it worked after that

I just did all of them for the past hour and killed both bosses and banked the orbs and it bugged out and didn’t spawn the mission for me. I’m sick of this buggy bullshit. First the kostov now this.
@@SifGreyfang Even if you do this once, you then have to rely on RNG as a solo player instead of being able to repeat the mission for guaranteed drops. It's outright scummy that the Exotic Class Item, a HUGE selling point of TFS, is so difficult to farm as a solo player
The issue isnt the mission, its the fact that they locked exotic class items behind this mission. Which were a major part of the marketing, thats where bungie messed up and why people are upset
The only reason why this exotic quest blows is because it is a must to duo, not even RAIDS or dungeons forced players to do that. If you can do Kali or planets solo, you deserve to run it solo. No content should ever be gatekeep. Same for the Focused campaign. Now to actually do this you must complete the entire chain of TFS and the entire sub quest line to unlock its secret requirement. Then complete all 3 over throws while killing the bosses all in 1 sitting. Then the final bosses for the orbs. And do it for all 3 characters. Once you are done with all these busy work, then you can do the exotic quest itself and pray the other guy actually know the VoW raid symbols by heart and can actually talk with a mic. Because there is a timer and you don't want to waste time reseting. The only good thing is once this is done, you can just do pale heart chest runs.
What in the universe were they thinking with this one. Edit: I love that people assumed that it was because i wanted it to be solo, and were toxic, kinda showing why alot of people prefer to be solo with a community like yall. And i was a raid sherpa i have no issues talking with people or carrying them i just think the execution of stuff on the pale heart has been kinda mid.

Mine wasn't showing up, until a theory popped into my head, the only place I hadn't done it at least once before the final boss was in the blooming, so I did it and the wizard appeared, maybe that's one of the requirements, try to defeat the area bosses at least once and then try again, it worked for me.
Esoterickk, overthrows now need a team to do them to spawn the secret lucent hive boss, they apparently fix / changed to a fireteam when they fix the meatball

I had the timer disappear when I fell in the left ditch right after getting the first ball (I had the ball when I died). I respawned, went back for the ball, and unlocked the mission with no timer the rest of the time. Also I did all three wizards solo by traveling to the zones after using the matchmade node to spawn in. Then I did the 2 adjacent zones solo, then re-queued for the matchmade one and did it with 2 randoms. I got the light immediately after killing the wizard there.
Honestly i dont blame them i give final shape a 5/10 some of its really good ill give it that but alot of it w forcing multiplayer now is getting really cringe and thats whats including myself turning alot of people off

It's a bit stupid that it requires communication considering everyone will want to get the items. I also found I had to complete all the overthrows before the witches would show up after wave 4.
Incase this helps anyone that was as slow as me, I didn’t get the green light to appear after doing all 3 overthrows and killing the wizzard.. the reason was because I didn’t kill the secret wizzard in the other two locations.. gotta kill the secret wizard in all three overthrows and then head to blooming and the green light will appear.. I kept misunderstanding and only killed the secret and wizzard once after completing three overthrows.
Ok I thing I said it wrong, I believe what you mean is “complete a overthrown activity FIRST and then find the wizard” because mines didn’t spawn when I finished all three.
After every Overthrow event (4th stage), there is a witch you have to kill. After killing all 3 witches , head to the blooming The Refraction Area to receive the 7 minutes buff
Some ppl don’t like playing with other ppl I can understand raids being lock behind a group but something as game changing as this being locked behind it is messed up.
For me, the wizard only spawns when you are near the spawn point, I didn't look or go to the places people mentioned, just sparrowed around the area till I heard the hive spawn sound. Helps to know the map area though

This entire expansion Bungie has been leaning into the Single player experience more (Which I love) and now along comes this quest and they pull some B.S I havnt seen from them in years with Exotic items being locked behind fireteam only activities. A huge swath of the player base plays solo. God I hate this.

I had no idea about this but me and my mate killed all 3 Wizards already haha but we didn't seem to get any notifications about a new mission killing the 3rd.
It’s a “passive” secret quest. No indication but once you drop those orbs and get the option to start the mission, then the “exotic mission” icon will be on your map.
I don't believe you do. I had by chance killed one of the wizards a couple days ago, and I only killed the remaining two today, and was still able to progress to the next part.

I had a similar issue when I killed the Hive Lightbearer Wizard in the Blooming and went straight to the Refraction. I corrected this by fast traveling to the Lost City and back to the Blooming then going to the Refraction.

Yes, but this type of stuff usually have solo options, now it's forced team play. Evens dungeons can be soloed, exotic missions prior to this dlc all had the chance to be completed solo

Are you seeing the text appear at the bottom left that they're spawning in the area? If you are seeing the text and there's no wizards, there's a small chance that it could be in different locations maybe? But in all the examples and other footage I've checked, every one had the same 3 locations

There is also a match made version of overthrow in the daily focus area, presumably for faster overthrows

It's designed with having another guardian in mind as it has alot of duo steps so no it's designed perfectly.

Locking this away from solo players feels like robbery. They need an alternative for solo players, this is just wrong.

@@josephsmith2417 I already did it. Now I am farming them from the Pale Heart. I actually like the mission as well. However, it still completely leaves out solo players and that is terrible.
Mine wasn't showing up, until a theory popped into my head, the only place I hadn't done it at least once before the final boss was in the blooming, so I did it and the wizard appeared, maybe that's one of the requirements, try to defeat the area bosses at least once and then try again, it worked for me.
So how do players with hearing issues complete this?

I had the timer disappear when I fell in the left ditch right after getting the first ball (I had the ball when I died). I respawned, went back for the ball, and unlocked the mission with no timer the rest of the time. Also I did all three wizards solo by traveling to the zones after using the matchmade node to spawn in. Then I did the 2 adjacent zones solo, then re-queued for the matchmade one and did it with 2 randoms. I got the light immediately after killing the wizard there.
It won't let me start the encounter I have my friend with me. I hit the start and it just does nothing
Does this happen on a daily basis or once you complete the Overthrow? Don’t got time to be grinding all these activities in one sitting.

Honestly i dont blame them i give final shape a 5/10 some of its really good ill give it that but alot of it w forcing multiplayer now is getting really cringe and thats whats including myself turning alot of people off

This community after all the shit bungie has put them through gave them one more chance to get their shit together. And I admit, Final Shape was fucking beautiful, Pale Heart despite all its numerous problems is insanely beautiful. But everything else has just been let down after let down after let down. I was watching the worlds first and I was never more disgusted with bungies blatant laziness than throwing 8 tormentors at raiders at one time. Khovostov is still bugged. 95% of the player base is never going to get these class items now.

No, i did the blooming one first, then the other 2 a different session and it counted.
It's a bit stupid that it requires communication considering everyone will want to get the items.
I also found I had to complete all the overthrows before the witches would show up after wave 4.

Incase this helps anyone that was as slow as me, I didn’t get the green light to appear after doing all 3 overthrows and killing the wizzard.. the reason was because I didn’t kill the secret wizzard in the other two locations.. gotta kill the secret wizard in all three overthrows and then head to blooming and the green light will appear.. I kept misunderstanding and only killed the secret and wizzard once after completing three overthrows.
hmm i completed a blossom overthrow but they never spawned in the location
Ok I thing I said it wrong, I believe what you mean is “complete a overthrown activity FIRST and then find the wizard” because mines didn’t spawn when I finished all three.
After every Overthrow event (4th stage), there is a witch you have to kill. After killing all 3 witches , head to the blooming The Refraction Area to receive the 7 minutes buff

Some ppl don’t like playing with other ppl I can understand raids being lock behind a group but something as game changing as this being locked behind it is messed up.

For me, the wizard only spawns when you are near the spawn point, I didn't look or go to the places people mentioned, just sparrowed around the area till I heard the hive spawn sound. Helps to know the map area though

This entire expansion Bungie has been leaning into the Single player experience more (Which I love) and now along comes this quest and they pull some B.S I havnt seen from them in years with Exotic items being locked behind fireteam only activities. A huge swath of the player base plays solo. God I hate this.

I had no idea about this but me and my mate killed all 3 Wizards already haha but we didn't seem to get any notifications about a new mission killing the 3rd.
It’s a “passive” secret quest. No indication but once you drop those orbs and get the option to start the mission, then the “exotic mission” icon will be on your map.

I don't believe you do. I had by chance killed one of the wizards a couple days ago, and I only killed the remaining two today, and was still able to progress to the next part.

Seems as if the wizards spawning has a prerequisite of some sort, because I have completed 5 overthrows and they are not spawning.
You have to look for them without leaving the instance of that area

I had a similar issue when I killed the Hive Lightbearer Wizard in the Blooming and went straight to the Refraction. I corrected this by fast traveling to the Lost City and back to the Blooming then going to the Refraction.

Yes, but this type of stuff usually have solo options, now it's forced team play. Evens dungeons can be soloed, exotic missions prior to this dlc all had the chance to be completed solo
Yeah there are activities soloable but they wanted this one to not be. So either get over your social anxiety and enjoy a sick mission or dont but dont blame bungie because your allergic to team play in a fuckin multiplayer game

Are you seeing the text appear at the bottom left that they're spawning in the area? If you are seeing the text and there's no wizards, there's a small chance that it could be in different locations maybe? But in all the examples and other footage I've checked, every one had the same 3 locations
