- Today, by popular demand, we take a look at my Chevy Cruze touchscreen radio head unit. This touchscreen radio was installed in my 2012 Chevy Cruze LT. The head unit is plug-and-play, and was fairly easy to install myself. This is the Seicane Touchscreen Head Unit Radio - It has worked great for a couple years with only one thing wrong with it and replaced under warranty. So if you're looking for a head unit touchscreen for your Gen 1 Chevy Cruze, this is a pretty good unit! I'd recommend. Can't remember what model it was.

Nice. I have a Ford Focus 2016 and I replaced my cheap 4 inch MyFord screen to an 8 inch screen with Sync 3 with Apple CarPlay. Before that, I also considered buying a new car, but I decided to upgrade the headunit and make changes to my car to fit my taste.
Great video. I've got to get one for my 2012 Cruse! But man seeing all those wires after ya had the dash all apart just about gave me heart failure. Lol. Wow talk about over stimulating. I'm an android user myself so this looks Awesome!

I've recently begun to think about an aftermarket stereo for my Chevy Cruze. I wondered if the Android ones would actually be better since my stock stereo malfunctions on me every now and then. The stock unit I have in my car is the upgraded version with the full color touch screen monitor. I do like my car, but the stock stereo unit has been a problem since I bought my car and a replacement is looking like a really good idea.
Do not I repeat do not get an android radio if you prefer better control and sound quality, I’ve wasted 700+ trying to figure out why my subs wouldn’t adjust with an aftermarket Tesla android radio. Grabbed a wire harness and new radio good to go

Question where did you get this and would they have one for a 2013 model?
Did they send all the required installation parts that you would need? as the one people have posted is universal so you will need a dash kit and wiring harness.

I really wish you remembered the model or had put a link in because the only radio that comes up on seicane is a huge tesla style screen which I'm not a fan of, i want something clean and simple like your install. Beautiful radio tho

Most aftermarket units coming for cruze or one with 8-10" touch screen android with custom casing... But I love those analog knobs and original casisng

Hi I had this installed but it doesn’t control volume using the car’s built in controller. Is there a feature I have to turn on to do this?
Fyi to anyone interested....I bought one of these for my 2014 diesel Cruze with Pioneer radio in 2022. It does not come with the CD player, it does not work with the factory backup camera, the dashboard buttons don't work, and despite what they've told me in emails, it does not work with the Pioneer system. It was a complete waste of time for me. Whatever they've changed in the past 3 years, broke the compatibility.

Quick questions. We're you able to keep using the Stock microphone or did you have to install a microphone from the aftermarket radio? Also does it support Android Auto?
I just bought this for my 2014 Diesel Cruze with the Pioneer speakers and factory amp. So far it's no good. No sound, no center console buttons work. I downloaded Android Auto, and it says it's not compatible with the unit.
do you happen to the have the model of this head unit, because my wife has the same chevy cruze, and she was very disappointed that the bluetooth in the car only allows phone calls and not music any help would be greatly appreciated

Were can I get that head unit for my 2012 Chevrolet Cruze
I just bought a '12 Cruze and I might be in the market to upgrade my head unit as well. I like to drive with the gauges and radio display brightness turned down as low as possible, especially at night. I only really need or want it bright enough to see my speed and check the gauges from time to time. With this head unit can you turn off the display and still listen to the radio (or whatever apps you have open)? and does the display on the head unit work in unison with the gauge rheostat? thanks, solid vid
No, it has to be on to be in use. There may be a sleep mode or something, but I haven't found it from factory. I'm sure there's an app somewhere that you can install for that.

Where did you get this?I can’t find it anywhere. Only ones I can find is are Tesla style ones. With this one, can you have Bluetooth calls without Bluetooth in the stock car?

Will this unit work with iPhone?
I've seen this headunit as well as a few other ones online and have been waiting for the proper funds before investing into one. After watching this I'm leaning more towards this one, simply from how enthusiastic you are after having it for quite some time now. I was curious if you remember there being any RCA ports on the back of the headunit? I'm currently running an aftermarket amplifier for a couple of JL subs I have in my trunk, and because the stock headunit lacked RCA ports, I tapped into a door speaker for the sound (sounds janky, I know, however my wires were ran through the grommet in the b pillar so its unnoticeable). Knowing whether or not this headunit has rca outputs would be greatly appreciated! I plan on pulling the stock speakers and amplifier when I go to upgrade the headunit because the stock speakers just arent loud enough for my liking.

I have a Buick Verano and it is based on the Cruze. I have the same radio as the Cruze except its a Buick and they don't have it available for my car. Think this would work anyway? Probably pop up with Chevy symbols every time...

Hi, do you still have this installed? As i heard a lot of complaints for the company on sending faulty ones, and a very tiresome and expensive process of getting new in case of such a situation. I do not want to install an android tablet on my dash, but rather look for an option like this with new Android 10 configuration and Android Auto! Please advice, will surely help me in my build!
May seem like a dumb question but is the start up time always the same length? turned key at 0:11 and it didn't load up until 0:46. Only wondering because looking for a new head unit but don't know if it's viable as I deliver food and have to use maps almost every time I enter the car. For anybody else with this car if you buy a phone mounting magnet for a few dollar and dont mind sticking it onto your OEM screen newer iphones/androids fit nicely over the old screen as a temporary touchscreen
Also anybody know how to get music to play over bluetooth? Can only seem to get calls through bluetooth
It seems to start a little slower when it is really cold and hasn't been started for a while (which is the case here). It boots up much faster if you've already driven with it that day.
And you can play music through Bluetooth on this one.

How did you put the screen on the upper part? The dash kit i had only allowed to put the radio where the stock buttons are at.
Still trying to figure that out as well, I think there’s like 1 or 2 dash kits that only have that top part instead of leaving that top screen black and replacing the radio buttons with a screen

Yes, this is plug and play! I don't know if it will work with stock reverse cam but I can imagine it would. The software is pretty nice on these!

Besides AM/FM, do you happen to know if this radio supports xm/satellite radio?
I believe it comes with the basic unit.
Below the options on the web page it lists what is included and what is optional.

It was plug and play! The unit was wired for the cruze controls.

The Inja it’s funny cause the 3 units they recommend for the 2014 Chevy Cruze when you search on their don’t look like this. It’s mind blowing someone who did the installation themselves knows nothing of specifics in terms of the radio they have. It’s the equivalent of someone taking the time to build up their motor in their car and a gear head says what you running under there. Only to be met with a Welp “it’s a motor” it does this, it does that. Oh and this, it only does that when this happens. Jesus

Did you have to program the steering wheel controls? or after install they just worked?

@@jamesingerman1937 it all worked when I plugged it in. This unit was programmed for the Cruze so it's all the same as before.
