@Gary Eats Another Good review infact in the summer I’m going to take my wife and little dog down there for a few days so we are going to try it I’m a fully qualified chef and always look for new inspirations .
I had one of Gary's videos on yesterday after Christmas dinner. My middle son arrived after a 2 hour drive, with his lovely partner and son, and we sat on the sofas to chat. With Gary's video playing quietly in the background. Suddenly my son said "oh it's Gary!" Turns out we both enjoy Gary's channel. We all chatted for a while about the reviews. And how we both loved the content. A happy Christmas day moment. Thank you Gary and son for all your hard work. Merry Christmas!
@@GaryEats To be fair, the individual packets cost more in comparison to a pots of sauce. In a high end joint, this saves unnecessary waste and cleaning of unused pots and also lets the animals have their sauce if they really want it.
It is pricey because it has Tom’s name on it. But I would not call it a high end restaurant like his Michelin stars restaurant called the Hand and Flowers. He also owns the Coach and Horses just along from the Butchers Tap. All 3 of his restaurants are always busy too.

Just to echo the others, you present in such a calm and comforting way. No theatrics or exaggerations, just good honest reviews. Thank you, love the channel!
Being from across the Pond, I would say that the tray appears to be an homage to American BBQ which is all about the meats, not the presentation. It's not unusual at a traditional BBQ joint to order meat by the lb (in terms of price) served very simply on butcher paper on a metal tray. I'm guessing he took inspiration from that in terms of presentation since it is a meat joint.

It looked really nice. But, honestly, you're paying 18 quid for a burger, and it doesn't even come with fries, which is what, a couple of large spuds? It's good, but the overall price and being stingy with the fries lowers the score. Four people having burgers and chips and paying nearly £100.

One thing that stuck me was that I wouldn't expect cardboard cartons with a meal that cost that much, but maybe they retain the heat better if you're sitting outside?.
You know it was a bit pricey but as you say that was enough for two people easily - that burger had my mouth watering ! All of it looked so tasty thanks for your great channel 😋 ❤
Thanks for the review Gary and giving TK another chance. This is nice quality pub grub and the presentation and price reflected it. However I take your word on the flavours so overall a decent find as long as you choose dishes carefully that won’t break the bank.
Hello Gary, I suppose we cannot complain about price as it’s a lovely town in London commuter territory. Do you have the Hand & Flowers on your visit list as a special treat?
Another nice place you have found Gary. A nice day weather wise too ☀️… Lots of food this time. Steak … nice… lamb, very nice. The burger at the end looked really good but thought it was pricey.. A burger for £18 is very expensive. I don't mind a bit of chewy with steak unless I've ordered fillet or sirloin. I think the lamb looked very nice but I prefer it more well done but I love a bit of fat on it. Fries looked good. The burger is too expensive regardless of the quality. It's a 7.5 from me because it's too pricey for me I'm afraid. I preferred Neil Morrissey pub to be honest. 😁 Great review again Gary.
That was another brilliant review Gary. You covered 3 delicious dishes in one go. I must say it was a bit pricy to say the least, being fair though, they all looked superb especially that unique burger, Those chips looked amazing.I suppose if you decide to visit a famous chef's establishment you know you are going to pay a bit more.Wow the girl in the background wanted to be heard lol!! Love your channel, always makes me feel better if ive had a stressful day!
For those prices & considering whose restaurant it is, you'd want everything to be perfect. It wasn't. Close but not quite. Out of my price range but appreciate you visiting and giving us another quality video. Thankyou Gary.
I love Tom Kerridge when you see him on TV, and obviously a talented chef but went to his hand and flowers whixh was at the time the only 2 Michelin star pub, but it was so disappointing. Great vid as always Gary 👍
The BT&G used to be a real old school drinking man’s pub The Carpenter’s Arms, basic but always rammed early doors with locals darts live music. I used to live in Marlow & miss it a lot. Never eaten here but then Marlow is awash with v good places to eat of all types. Food looks great! Love lamb xI’d have it! More Marlow please in the future This vlog made me happy 😊
Great review thanks Gary, I visited BT&G in Marlow last summer when back in the UK which personally I thought it was quite pricey will give it another try this summer.
Outdoors in the Sun, good food and service and was clearly enough for 2 people. Very reasonable in my opinion..A lot of folk are extremely quick at having a go at Tom for his prices. Shouldn’t forget he employs around 300 people..many full time. Therefore..Wages/Paye/NI/ employers contributions. Holiday pay…Rates!! Rent. And he sources the majority of his ingredients from many local producers. Respect!
Pretty in pink today Gary...😊. Its called a comedy burger cos they are all laughing at the customers for ordering it, cos it costs so much-fries not included!! 😂 I love how you talk about mister CM as if he isn't there!! 😂😂 The lamb looked the best, second to the fries! Not keen on the paper cups for drinks though, or the tray! Considering CM paid, did you let him eat??? This lettuce wedge business must be a new thing, is it?? Hope you enjoyed... Until next time...
Thank you Heather, salmon lol 😂. I was sitting outside and the cup was my choice so no real issues and it was free, the lettuce seems to be a new thing 🤷♂️
Nice review Gary…food looked scrumptious 👌👌 mmmm those crunchy chips looked good 😂 you can pay around €18 for a burger over here in Portugal yes you do get fries with it….but probably not as good as what u had 👌 Looking forward to your next review
Lets look at this a different way..... a "large" high street burger and chips with a soft drink is around £8.00 - is the Berger and chips at the above at least 3 times better then what you can get at the place with a large M in its name...... Id say it was..... so well worth what you have to pay, I would also guess the staff get paid a better wage, and the cost in getting 28 days beef is a lot more then "any beef will do"! - Great review again another place to add to the list of must visit!
As bavette steak is a cheaper cut, I'm surprised it's not reflected in the price. Never mind. Good review for an expensive meal. Thanks for taking us along. Appreciated.
@@jeffjones9792 they go for top dollar here at the butcher's in the netherlands too, like 24 euros a kilo, i can get "kogelbiefstuk" (i believe that's round from the buttocks area right under the tenderloin, near the joints) for like 16 a kilo, used to be the same 22-24ish but there's a lot of surplus these days it seems, it's been down to 16-18 a kilo for the last 18 months orso picanha goes for around 22-24 ish a kilo here too, so i'm jut taking the 16 buck steaks, they're still top grade meat i just buy those on one big chunk for like 20-30 bucks, every 2 weeks orso, cut them up in like 6 or 7 steaks, cook up the little trimmings right after, put 5 in the freezer seperated from each other, the other 2 are to go for the near future :D it's not even that crazy expensive to eat like a king every odd day, 50 bucks a month isn't that outrageous where you can be down 10 bucks in the blink of an eye in the supermarket these days :D gotta know how to cook them though, it's super lean, and super tender even rare, but they are easy to ruin, i prefer getting a color on them when they're frozen, then sit them down for a while, cut them a bit smaller, and blast the bits, it kind of helps you buy time and get that first sear out of the way first
Brilliant review once again Gary got to say that lamb looked superb and the steak was not far behind thanks very much for mentioning about disabled access as it always good to know
Good to hear you enjoyed it all. Tom actually lives on the other side of the river. There's lot of good eating places in Marlow, you should try them all in time. May I recommend Sindhu at the Compleat Angler Hotel. It's one of Atul Kochhar's restaurants and the lunch menu is reasonably priced too. I've dined in there a few times. And you get a good view of the river, which you can walk around there after. Although I live up the hill from Marlow, I do spend a lot of time in that town. Beautiful (especially the bridge, twinned with the one in Budapest)!
The food did look appealing as it was cooked to perfection. Even the chips looked above par. As for taste vs. price, I think it will be 'what the market can bear'. Obviously in a slightly wealthier neighbourhood that is no problem. How much is the price down to the name d chef? Sorry to say that I will to bear lesser food options, but still realy enjoy watching you tuck in. Great video as ever.
Once again we have Gary boldly giving a go to a fair, balanced, and honest review taking as much as possible into account and facing the controversy! An 18 pound burger WITHOUT included fries! Rustic metal trays! Odd beef cuts! A celeb chef who's previously disgraced himself with the Harrod's collab!!! I think you did a great job. The price is going to be high - the guy's a celeb as much as a chef, his staff is trained to a truly frightening degree, the neighborhood's fancy fancy. An 18 pound burger just sitting lonely on a tray - yeah, you're in rich folks' land. However - it was a good burger. That's not always true - sometimes it's just expensive. Plus, it had fancy ham and REALLY fancy cheese. The other items were a bit more proportional, I think, though I will say that 5 pounds for a serving of fries is edge-lord territory. Still - they were good, and there were more fries than you have fingers, so that's a positive. I think you were fair, balanced, and honest. And it's not like the place isn't posted - you know going in what you're going to be paying. Another great review. I'd go there to eat. Not often, but I'd go. And probably really enjoy it. That onion has me solidly intrigued. I'm going to try it. Looks dangerous - but if you win ...
Thank you so very much Heidi, I always try to be very fair regardless, all round this was very good not all top quality and a can’t ever understand why fries are not included in the price. Tom Kerridge is clearly a fantastic chef as you don’t receive two Michelin stars for no reason, all round worth a visit, the town itself is definitely worth a look, have a great week and see you soon x
Meal looked nice, though like most people I think paying extra for chips and sauces is a bit much. Couldn’t believe the cardboard stuff either, in a restaurant where you’re paying £18 for a burger! Maybe people are pinching the glasses😂
T'is a brave man who wears a pale garment and eats black ketchup. If that had been me, I'd have ended up looking like I'd wrestled a giant squid in a coal mine. A testament to your refined table manners sir. And yet another great review, thanks Gary.
Gary!!!!! If you are happy to spend that kind of money on food.....you HAVE TO come to South Africa!!! What you can get here for the money you are willing to spend, will TOTALLY blow your mind! I promise - you won't be disappointed. 😊❤
At a Michelin star place much of the cost is not in your plate. It's people costs; it's in the standards, the training, the consistency the creativity. Last night I had a few beers with a brigade from a Michelin restaurant. The level those guys are required to achieve just for peeling spuds or chopping carrots is insane! All that cost ends up in the bill even if it's not in your plate. PS I don't dine at Michelin restaurants, I'll take oddly cut chips any day for half the price :)
In this case I don't think that Michelin star cutting up showed through, carrots in circles, onion a straight quarter, lettuce the same and meat is meat. So if this is two stars? Price wise if those chips were included it would be a good munch ov taste for two at £25 each so probably not too bad
£24 for burger and chips served to you on something that looks like it was stolen from a hospital is outrageous also the outside area wasn’t very appealing reminded me of an estate pub.
@@GaryEats I watched the Greek restaurant one and this one when doing the ironing I must say Andy’s restaurant genuinely made me hungry and want to go there. This one just made me think how many burgers can I make at home myself for £18?
Looks like a nice place to visit Gary, as ever i am not going to moan like some people on here. I watch you because i love you going to new places trying different food, not everyone moaning about the price. The food looked nice, and the chips looked good. Great video by you and the cameraman as ever. And great shirt as always. 👍👕
A lovely destination town not far from London (compared to say the Cotswolds) means the London effect will always affect prices, especially for property. People forget that super high rent and rates push up the owners fixed costs which are reflected in the food prices. That’s why you can’t compare a Mayfair burger price with say a Bognor price. You also have to allow a top chef a bit of indulgence on the extra margin given what they have achieved reputation wide to get to where they are (just as long as they hold the standards up, especially for the non flagship venues). As always, another great review and another day trip for me to look forward to, especially as it’s not far. The lamb and the burger got my vote. Thanks Gary.
Great channel Gaza been watching you for afew days.... Definitely got afew restaurants on my list to visit... Try getting abit more close ups as the food comes out. 👍👍👍 Glad to see you got a normal size portion of chips out of the man this time 😂😂
Hi Gary. Sounds like a very reasonable price for fodder of that quality, tbh. Like you, I don't eat with my eyes; I eat with my heart, hunger, and soul. Another top post in a long line of top posts 👍.
The frequency of your Video output is very impressive. Every couple of days a new video - wow ! This video as well, great and funny - brilliant stuff. You've really got into a grove with the video format and structure now. I've watched your videos for a few months now, I think you were at about 20K Subscribers - 100K Subscribers will be reached pretty soon at this rate. A fair review as well I thought - the food looked very good.
Great Stuff, G! I'd love to see you do one of those Heston Blumenthal weird taste menus - actually you may have checked his pub out already but I was thinking of his themed courses.
He’s been doing the round on podcasts recently, one of my favourite chef’s. He’s not in the kitchen as much now but still. The business side of it is brilliant.
By the way. The Butchers Tap was originally called the Carpenters Arms. It was my dad’s local pub where he played the game of cribbage. They also had a bar billiards table in there too.
Another fab review guys👍 Good to see the weathers improving for the outdoor reviews plus the free flies help in extra protein 😉 Not overly impressed with the prices for the food though. I guess if your hungry you have to eat. But for a family going to eat here is like going to be pretty expensive. As always thanks for the review much appreciated🙌
10/10 videos again Gary and I can’t get over the rate you can turn them out 👍 Looked too good because I’m on a diet and now all I can think about is ordering some meat. I cried when you said that was enough for two people because I don’t think my calorie allowance for lunch would allow me to eat a quarter of all that food 😂
Agree, amazing channel, such variety every video. Great one today, exactly my type of food, steak looked amazing even though I like mine medium-well. Made my day and after an amazing super Sunday of footy results, boom 👍👍👍 4 out of the first 6 horses in the national too, plus decent amount on the winner! Cracking weekend, keep up the superb videos Gary and hoping you've enjoyed your weekend too 👍👍👍
Hi Gary Looks like Tom has redeemed himself some what! The food looked much better and plenty of chips as well! As you said that type of steak is always chewy it’s just a matter of degrees depending on how well it’s cooked and that looked very good. Overall expensive for sure but enough for 2 so makes it more affordable but probably for a special occasions on the whole. The burger wasn’t picture pretty for sure but I’m sure it tasted great. Super visit as always mate

One thing that stuck me was that I wouldn't expect cardboard cartons with a meal that cost that much, but maybe they retain the heat better if you're sitting outside?.
They were tin David reusable
@@GaryEats Thanks Gary.
It's only the chips that were in Michelin cardboard mate, sorry two star Michelin cardboard
Theft of cutlery and crockery is a common problem in hospitality.
You know it was a bit pricey but as you say that was enough for two people easily - that burger had my mouth watering ! All of it looked so tasty thanks for your great channel 😋 ❤
That’s very kind and appreciated Kaz thank you and I agree definitely enough for two people
Thanks for the review Gary and giving TK another chance. This is nice quality pub grub and the presentation and price reflected it. However I take your word on the flavours so overall a decent find as long as you choose dishes carefully that won’t break the bank.
It’s expensive Richard but everywhere in the town was so 🤷♂️
Hello Gary, I suppose we cannot complain about price as it’s a lovely town in London commuter territory. Do you have the Hand & Flowers on your visit list as a special treat?
I think I won't be allowed to film unless I get special permission
The dreaded permission. Shame.
Another nice place you have found Gary. A nice day weather wise too ☀️…
Lots of food this time.
Steak … nice… lamb, very nice.
The burger at the end looked really good but thought it was pricey..
You did a really good honest review and that’s why you are getting so many new viewers and subscribers each day
Really looking for forward to your ‘Let’s give it a go’ 👍👍…
Cheers
Dave & Angela x
Thank you Dave and Angela, all round it was quality but just didn’t hit the mark too many mistakes 👌
Good to see you with a spring in your step, Gary.
Thanks Dylan
Nice video Gary and what a beautiful day for you to film! Enjoyed watching you and the cameraman have some fun in the sun ☀️ love your channel ❤❤❤❤❤ as always, Linda from Laguna 🐳🏄🏻♀️☀️🥂🐳🧜🏼♀️😊
Linda, how are you, I’ve neglected you as so many comments my apologies. I hope you’re well and I really appreciate you watching and commenting as always x. Please have a wonderful week and see you soon 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸x
Great review again Gary.
Yes I have to agree, it was overpriced. I also agree about Morrissey's pub being superior. Thanks!
Plume of feathers is a great place in Barlaston!
I hope you had a better day today Scarlett, the lady behind unfortunately wanted to heard, hope to see you soon x
You picked a wonderful day Gary and not a bad plates of food if a bit pricey.
It was a lovely day
For those prices & considering whose restaurant it is, you'd want everything to be perfect. It wasn't. Close but not quite. Out of my price range but appreciate you visiting and giving us another quality video. Thankyou Gary.
It wasn’t perfect and definitely pricey Robert it nearly was great but….
Once again another excellent review Gary the food looked good and I dont think it was too expensive for where you were and who owned it.
Glad you enjoyed it Douglas!
I love Tom Kerridge when you see him on TV, and obviously a talented chef but went to his hand and flowers whixh was at the time the only 2 Michelin star pub, but it was so disappointing. Great vid as always Gary 👍
Wow I’m surprised by that 😳 and thank you very much
i love this chanel its the best..hi gary keep safe pal xx
That’s very kind thank you x
The BT&G used to be a real old school drinking man’s pub The Carpenter’s Arms, basic but always rammed early doors with locals darts live music. I used to live in Marlow & miss it a lot. Never eaten here but then Marlow is awash with v good places to eat of all types. Food looks great! Love lamb xI’d have it!
More Marlow please in the future This vlog made me happy 😊
I’ll be returning 👍
I'd like to see a documentary made., maybe a Loius Theroux style one where chefs are questioned about their prices.
It won’t be me Paul 🤷♂️
@@GaryEats guessing not your style! love the channel, keep jogging and feed the cameraman 😁
Thanks mate
Great review thanks Gary, I visited BT&G in Marlow last summer when back in the UK which personally I thought it was quite pricey will give it another try this summer.
Thank you pricey but worth a visit
Outdoors in the Sun, good food and service and was clearly enough for 2 people. Very reasonable in my opinion..A lot of folk are extremely quick at having a go at Tom for his prices. Shouldn’t forget he employs around 300 people..many full time. Therefore..Wages/Paye/NI/ employers contributions. Holiday pay…Rates!! Rent.
And he sources the majority of his ingredients from many local producers.
Respect!
Thank you Rob you clearly understand 👌
Yes that's the story for anyone that employs 300 people
Yes i agree with you Rob, if people think thats expensive you should try a Ramsey restaurant you will soon change your mind! Great review Gary 👍
A really fair review ❣
You're sitting in the sun? Down in South Africa 🇿🇦, we're freezing our fiddly bits off...5°, and overcast. Enjoy ❣🤗
It didn’t last long Melany unfortunately
Pretty in pink today Gary...😊. Its called a comedy burger cos they are all laughing at the customers for ordering it, cos it costs so much-fries not included!! 😂
I love how you talk about mister CM as if he isn't there!! 😂😂
The lamb looked the best, second to the fries!
@GaryEats sorry...salmon. I meant salmon but pink just popped out!! 😊😊 Still nice though.
Nice review Gary…food looked scrumptious 👌👌 mmmm those crunchy chips looked good 😂 you can pay around €18 for a burger over here in Portugal yes you do get fries with it….but probably not as good as what u had 👌 Looking forward to your next review
Hi heather looking like the poor camera Man paid but might have got nothing as Gary dodged the bullet with your question
Thanks David!!
That’s was a well thought out comment thank you so very much 👌
Let's give it a go!
As always!
Yes Gary .i dont like to eat of a tray , or a chopping board . Love your channel ❤
Thank you Mandy
A pleasant way to relax after a day at work.
Glad to hear that! Did you like the food in this one?
@@GaryEats I most certainly did, thank you very much. Based on your comments and my impressions, I also gave the same marks.
Love your videos, they have kept me entertained through suffering with a nasty cold.
I really hope you feel better soon. Lots of lemsip
Bavette and flat iron steaks are underrated in the UK. Slightly cheaper, chewier and have lots of beefy taste.
I use them for Chinese, steep them in bicarb before marinating.
I did very much enjoy it
As bavette steak is a cheaper cut, I'm surprised it's not reflected in the price. Never mind. Good review for an expensive meal. Thanks for taking us along. Appreciated.
@@jeffjones9792 they go for top dollar here at the butcher's in the netherlands too,
like 24 euros a kilo, i can get "kogelbiefstuk" (i believe that's round from the buttocks area right under the tenderloin, near the joints) for like 16 a kilo, used to be the same 22-24ish but there's a lot of surplus these days it seems, it's been down to 16-18 a kilo for the last 18 months orso
picanha goes for around 22-24 ish a kilo here too, so i'm jut taking the 16 buck steaks, they're still top grade meat
i just buy those on one big chunk for like 20-30 bucks, every 2 weeks orso, cut them up in like 6 or 7 steaks, cook up the little trimmings right after,
put 5 in the freezer seperated from each other, the other 2 are to go for the near future :D
it's not even that crazy expensive to eat like a king every odd day, 50 bucks a month isn't that outrageous where you can be down 10 bucks in the blink of an eye in the supermarket these days :D
gotta know how to cook them though, it's super lean, and super tender even rare, but they are easy to ruin, i prefer getting a color on them when they're frozen, then sit them down for a while, cut them a bit smaller, and blast the bits, it kind of helps you buy time and get that first sear out of the way first
Brilliant review once again Gary got to say that lamb looked superb and the steak was not far behind thanks very much for mentioning about disabled access as it always good to know
Remember the toilets are upstairs Eamoon just to let you know
Yeah thanks Gary I will have to bear that in mind
Garys back and he's "Giving it a go" .... Go on lad ! ..... 🤣
Haha thanks mate
Good to hear you enjoyed it all. Tom actually lives on the other side of the river.
There's lot of good eating places in Marlow, you should try them all in time. May I recommend Sindhu at the Compleat Angler Hotel. It's one of Atul Kochhar's restaurants and the lunch menu is reasonably priced too. I've dined in there a few times.
And you get a good view of the river, which you can walk around there after.
Although I live up the hill from Marlow, I do spend a lot of time in that town. Beautiful (especially the bridge, twinned with the one in Budapest)!
I did see them would you recommend both 🤷♂️
The food did look appealing as it was cooked to perfection.
Thank you Conor it’s a very expensive area for sure
Wow..the gillet is back..😉..you mentioned that you had the company of a fly..😯.. that'll be £5.00 extra..😂.. smashing vlog..as always..👍
Thank you Jan the fly was definitely trying to munch some food 😂
Fair mark and another super review . Great Gary ! 😅
Very kind Jim thank you
Gary,
All these meals out is the secret to keeping slim, can't fault ya mate 👍
Lol thanks Tel!!
Jogged in, but no jogging out after another excellent meal! Thank you for another entertaining video.
Thank you Keith I was a bit full after lol
Meal looked nice, though like most people I think paying extra for chips and sauces is a bit much. Couldn’t believe the cardboard stuff either, in a restaurant where you’re paying £18 for a burger! Maybe people are pinching the glasses😂
The cup was down to me it’s not the same inside
Brilliant video as always, excellent review!! Hope all is well, take care
All good thank you Peter have a lovely week mate
Looked great.
It was Andrew!
T'is a brave man who wears a pale garment and eats black ketchup. If that had been me, I'd have ended up looking like I'd wrestled a giant squid in a coal mine.
A testament to your refined table manners sir.
And yet another great review, thanks Gary.
Nicholas that made me laugh so much, you know I’m clumsy so phew again, thank you very much 👌
@@GaryEats Unless you packed a spare polo shirt, you're selling your fine motor skills short there Gary!

Lol that did make me laugh. Apologies for the background noise
Fantastic revue as ever Gary, did you know the cameraman was paying? , if so thought you would have had the T-bone @ £108. 🤣🤣🤣
Had I know Ian T-Bone all day long lol 😂
Gary!!!!! If you are happy to spend that kind of money on food.....you HAVE TO come to South Africa!!! What you can get here for the money you are willing to spend, will TOTALLY blow your mind! I promise - you won't be disappointed. 😊❤
I’d love to come and see you but too many commitments at the moment sorry x
@@GaryEatsunderstand. Still enjoy watching you - nonetheless!❤
You had a better meal than me. I thought it was expensive, well done again 👏. Louis
Thanks Louis but it was pricey
I wouldn't bother. The food looked too basic for the prices they're charging
Love the way you talk too Gary you take on a very relaxing view! You talk to the viewers not at them too! That is where alot of channels go wrong!
That is so kind to say thank you very much, Helen 🌹❤️🇦🇺
@@GaryEats your very welcome Gary yes it true!
£24 for burger and chips served to you on something that looks like it was stolen from a hospital is outrageous also the outside area wasn’t very appealing reminded me of an estate pub.
No problem Dan 👌
@@GaryEats I watched the Greek restaurant one and this one when doing the ironing I must say Andy’s restaurant genuinely made me hungry and want to go there. This one just made me think how many burgers can I make at home myself for £18?
Yes that restaurant was absolutely superb
@@GaryEats thank you for highlighting as I have it on my list! That and the cafe off regent street where you had breakfast
Looks like a nice place to visit Gary, as ever i am not going to moan like some people on here. I watch you because i love you going to new places trying different food, not everyone moaning about the price. The food looked nice, and the chips looked good. Great video by you and the cameraman as ever. And great shirt as always. 👍👕
Charlie that’s really really appreciated thank you 👍👍👍
£18.50 for a burger then £5 for fries rip off!!!
Agreed, fries should be included
I fully agree Nick it’s sometimes hard to balance value and quality including location 👌
Poor presentation on those Trays
I agree and did say that in the review
Another great video Gary now when my wife wants to go for a meal she checks where you've been
Jason my friend, I hope you’re absolutely fantastic, regards to the good lady and I’ll love to catch up very soon 😊👌
Great channel Gaza been watching you for afew days.... Definitely got afew restaurants on my list to visit... Try getting abit more close ups as the food comes out. 👍👍👍 Glad to see you got a normal size portion of chips out of the man this time 😂😂
Thank you very much, and we will try to improve the camerawork, loads more chips thankfully
Have a plate of mushrooms on me Gary. Love your channel. 😀
Wow that’s very kind of you, thank you and I’ll see what I can do 🤣
Hi Gary. Sounds like a very reasonable price for fodder of that quality, tbh. Like you, I don't eat with my eyes; I eat with my heart, hunger, and soul.
Another top post in a long line of top posts 👍.
That’s very kind thank you
The frequency of your Video output is very impressive. Great Stuff, G! I'd love to see you do one of those Heston Blumenthal weird taste menus - actually you may have checked his pub out already but I was thinking of his themed courses.
I’ve already checked him out Jez but may well return 👌
He’s been doing the round on podcasts recently, one of my favourite chef’s. He’s not in the kitchen as much now but still. The business side of it is brilliant.
He seems to get around a lot but the food was good so no complaints
Marlow is my home town and would always recommend it for a visit. Glad to see you going there and now to watch your video.
By the way. The Butchers Tap was originally called the Carpenters Arms. It was my dad’s local pub where he played the game of cribbage. They also had a bar billiards table in there too.
It’s a super town with lots of restaurants to choose from
@@GaryEats My brother swears by the Vanilla Pod Gary. It’s an Indian restaurant in Marlow you could try.

Ian I agree it’s very expensive but it’s also a very expensive area, the food was very good but didn’t have the absolute wow factor
10/10 videos again Gary and I can’t get over the rate you can turn them out 👍
Looked too good because I’m on a diet and now all I can think about is ordering some meat. I cried when you said that was enough for two people because I don’t think my calorie allowance for lunch would allow me to eat a quarter of all that food 😂
You keep going Jean and well done 👍

Agree, amazing channel, such variety every video. Great one today, exactly my type of food, steak looked amazing even though I like mine medium-well. Made my day and after an amazing super Sunday of footy results, boom 👍👍👍 4 out of the first 6 horses in the national too, plus decent amount on the winner! Cracking weekend, keep up the superb videos Gary and hoping you've enjoyed your weekend too 👍👍👍
How lucky are you Andrew wow well done 👌👍👌👍
Hi Gary
Looks like Tom has redeemed himself some what!
Than’ youn Tony and it was only fair to do another visit and this was very good not exceptional but good
Great video Gary as always👌🏽
Very kind Jacks 👌
Really enjoyed this review. What in particularly enjoy your rating is that big names do not necessarily equal high rating. You really judge what is on the plate, but also consider service, value and location. Your ratings offer really good guidance when deciding where to eat.
That’s very kind to say thank you very much and I’m pleased you enjoyed the review
