At @23:06, if you use the stick to move Mario, this is probably controller jank due to snapback rather than SMM jank.
For those who don't know what snapback is, it refers to when the analog stick is released back to neutral, it slingshots back too far and
briefly inputs the other direction, which probably caused you to drift just enough to die to the square of doom.
