I know this uncle! He has a fantastic car collection. Couple of years ago he even took me for a spin in his 991.2 Turbo S. All the best with this endeavour!
jirre fokkit, staying in Europe for nearly 30 years now and being frantic about these frogs. The 996 never really picked me up. But honestly, this really is the fucking best "new age" past 993 Porsche safari modification on the planet. If I would have known about this project I would have moved to ZA just to check you guys designing the safari. I always wanted a post 993 water-cooled Safari and could really think of an option to rebuild a Porsche. But what better option could one get than a 996. Man o man! A dream come true. Sadly I don't know how long I will still roam the earth due to becoming ill. Otherwise, I would really get myself a 996 4S and rebuild it. Well done boys!!!. How much was the conversion, if I may ask? You guys should get into production with this conversion. There is NO BETTER car on gravel than a 911 Carrera. Have you guys done any trips with the Safari Projek yet? Back in 2014, I wanted to be the first man to drive from North Germany, Cuxhaven, where I stay, to Cape Town in a 911. Up until today, there is no one ever to drive across Africa in a 911. My goal was to drive 12.000k's in under 14 days. I had a complete project car already (though pre 993) with an original 959 drive chain including the front axle. The final car would have been a 935 4x4. Unfortunately, ISIS fucked up my plans in Egypt and the Ethiopian/Kenyan border region. Germany's foreign affairs later canceled their support in case of emergency. Before that, I wanted to go the west route with a Mercedes G500 4X4. ISIS fucked up that plan as well. At that time they shot down a german army helicopter over southwest Mali. Keep up the Safari spirit. If I really will survive this kak cancer shit, I'll come and visit you guys!! Have you got more vids or pics from the frog? Hi there, we absolutely love your enthusiasm! Best way to keep up the project and get in touch with the developer is via their Instagram page: instagram.com/safariprojek
There's one in my neighborhood at the moment. It's got GP plates so the guy might be on holiday here in CT. It's SO SO SO nice. It's silver with a small homage to the Martini racing colors.
love it but the interior is gonna be wrecked instantly and the paint will be destroyed in one run if you don't put ugly black plastic everywhere. It's gonna destroy itself in its natural element.
Why spend so much time and money on on a car like this? Instead buy a car that was built for off road capabilities from the beginning. This ruins the car, and I'd rather get a Defender or a Toyota Land Cruiser as those have better off road capabilities than a Porsche (which was designed for the road).😑😑😑

Good thing it’s not yours then
How to ruin an otherwise beautiful vehicle… this is why Porsche made the Cayenne
