You might want to reconsider the installation of the dash cam wiring you described. Running the wire along the windshield under the roof headliner is fine, but you should run the wire down under the FRONT edge of the A-pillar. Front meaning toward the front of the car. The collapsed airbag is mounted (in most newer cars) under the rear portion of the A-pillar trim, allowing the airbag to deploy freely toward the passenger in the front seat. You should not allow the dash cam wire to cross over the top edge of the A-pillar trim, which would also mean that the wire would cross over the air bag (which continues back under the roof/headliner trim). Doing this could cause the airbag to deploy incorrectly or to fracture the dash cam wire, with unpredictable results. The A-pillar trim can usually be temporarily removed (in newer cars) by removing a single screw near the top of the trim, then simply pulling or "wiggling" the trim out and up. You can then run the dash cam wire beside other wires that are usually installed beside, and in front of, the collapsed airbag. See video link below. If you don't want to remove the A-pillar trim, you could run the dash cam wire down along the FRONT edge of the A-pillar trim adjacent to the windshield, then back along the bottom edge of the A-pillar trim, then down into, or below the dashboard and glove box. Check the short (1 1/2 min) video, link below. Starting at the 28-sec mark you can see how the air bag is mounted under the back edge of the A-pillar trim and continues up under the edge of the roof/headliner trim. It is important to keep the dash cam wire in FRONT of the air bag along the A-pillar, and do NOT cross the air bag at the top of the A-pillar trim. I don't think I would have remembered to hit that save button. If it continued recording afterward, would it just write over the accident data? Oh, It was a girl that was texting and driving that caused it, btw.
Assuming you have two different power cords, can you move the camera from vehicle to vehicle easily, or are you stuck with it in one vehicle because of the adhesive?
You're paying a little more for the designer name but they are good quality and never had an issue. Check out Pulsar, Citizen and Seiko for a classic automatic too.
Alright thanks, yeah I picked up one of their modern machine automatics on a black friday sale for 100 bucks off so hopefully I made a good purchase. And that is a good point with the dashcams. My brother worked as a car salesman and when he would drive expensive cars from one dealership to another he always kept one on in case of an accident to show that he was not at fault.

I suppose dashcams only work when it's obviously the other drivers fault lol.
