- I'm so glad I was able to do this while I still could lol. Possibly the most game-breaking glitch in splatoon and it got patched in a day. At least nintendo noticed that it was literally destroying the online servers. I know it's been patched but I still wanted to make a video explaining it and showing a few matches of it. I still can't believe that patching a sliding glitch caused this lmao

Wait so the patch covered the sliding squid but is the invisibility thing still possible?
Yeah I can't imagine how quickly I can level up once just abusing it.
Thinking about it, I actually have doubts that this is due to a non living state. Rather, on other peers' screens, you fell off the map but didn't die, and since hit detection is done by the shooter, they can't hit you. Some specials and bomb hit detection are done client side, so you can still die from that.
The main reason why I think this is because the superjumping squid has fallen outside of the skybox, which means it still exists, but it is in an invalid position and state.

Sorry I haven't been around Wesley! I've been really busy recently, but it's great to watch his video! Ironically, I was wondering about how this glitch was performed the other say, and you showed how it's done really well! Amazing editing, it looked fantastic and I really enjoyed he video. Thanks! Im S+ and some tips I could give is to remember to focus on objective and try to play smart. Don't just hop right into the battle and get killed instantly. I may try to give more tips in a video soon ^^

I never took this glitch to real battles, only private battles LIKE IT SHOULD BE
I remember showing it to a friend, then she grabbed the rainmaker, charged a shot, and it did a full 360 U turn to get me, that was HILARIOUS! I kinda wish it lasted 1 day longer so I could show it to more people, but yeah It had to be patched :P

Yeah, I just did like 2 squad battles with a friend lol. And nice, I was gonna get more footage of this when i had the time but I didn't realize they were gonna patch it so quickly ;-; and yeah I forgot to mention that. It looks like it's randomly coming from the sky or something xD

If it wasn't patched, bomb sniffer would be great for this glitch so you could see upcoming bomb inksplosions
Wouldn't this technically mean that when you die you leave an invisible player model, so there are a bunch of dead, invisible inklings all over the map when lots of people die??

If sub weapons can kill by explosions, I'd assume blasters would too.
I'm pretty sure blasters don't kill, I could be wrong though
WesleyMK It's mere speculation, but by logic the explosion from a blaster would be similar in the code as the explosion from a burst bomb. Note I'm not talking about direct hits.
