Hey 2! Love your channel. Need a little help. You mentioned a case to store gold in a recent video. Wasn’t pelican…another brand. Can’t find the video where you mentioned it. Am I remembering right? If you recall can you point me in the right direction?
Bitcoin only has value if the electric grid is intact and functioning, the communication network is intact and functioning, and the servers needed to complete a transaction are intact and functioning. You also need to make the transaction where the government hasn't outlawed it.
Bitcoin always has value, you don't understand how it works. You can send it over ham radio, and the "servers" are all over the world, even at the bottom of mine shafts, so even a solar flare CME that's strong enough to kill people on earth wouldn't harm the bitcoin network. And even if what you were saying was true, and all of the bitcoin nodes everywhere on earth were down, that would just delay bitcoin transactions until one of them comes back, it wouldn't do anything to their value because YOU CANT SPEND YOUR BITCOIN SO YOU CANT SELL IT SO YOU CANT LOWER THE PRICE.
@@LarsLarsen77 "Bitcoin always has value..." Which sounds really strange for something for which there are no metrics of valuation. There is no way to determine the true value of bitcoin and other cryptos. "... you don't understand how it works." The lament of the BTC crowd whenever someone has a legitimate complaint about cryptos. Remember those who had the Mt. Gox experience? That was real and it did considerable damage to those who held their bitcoins there. That seems to have been remedied via personal "wallets" for bitcoin and maybe for other cryptos as well, but for heaven's sake, don't lose your crypto key! But, the bottom line in cryptos is that it's not an investment, it's a speculation. Speculation can be very profitable but the history of finance is not kind to speculations or speculators. Typically, a few make great wealth while the many lose their shirts. Notice that cryptos appeal largely to the young folks who have not experienced a bear market or a depression. Older folks who have experienced such things tend to remember them and do what they can to avoid speculating. My mom was a child during The Great Depression of the 1930s and that experience scarred her for life. She taught me a great deal about money, how to earn it, how to grow it, and how to handle it. Because of this, I always had money when hard times came around and others did not have it because they had spent it all before disaster hit and borrowed more on top of that. But there are a great many ways in which people can invest their money, so there are many many investing options for people. We don't ALL have to pile into the same things, and most often that's a very good thing.
We are talking gold. But, once upon a time i purchased some vegetables from a older gentleman on the street side. He gave me his price. I held out some dollars in one hand and some silver eagles in the other. Asked him which one he wanted. He immediately went to the silver eagle. It was a fun transaction and gives me a great story to tell. Silver was 16 usd a oz. at the time.

@LarsLarsen77 I'm currently trading dollars to buy gold and silver because the dollar is going bye bye. Gold and silver will always be money. Crypto is just another fiat currency.. but buy whatever you want.
If the apocalypse comes I'd love to know who you will actually be trading gold or silver for basic necessities because most people if you are even lucky to find will be hoarding any food or water they have as you should already have those items stocked away along with guns and plenty of ammo for an event of that magnitude!
I am not a true believer in anything.... Diversification is important. Gold and Silver has its value locally in every day life. It is also physical and is in your hand. Two ounces in your hand can get you a deed to a 1 acre lot really fast around here. Silver I have used at farmers markets to buy groceries. I do it a lot. Bitcoin is super fluid though. If I want I can spend it on APMEX and buy gold or silver. If I have a loved one that is far away, it is a great way for me to help out. Depends on how trusting you are. Many local coin shops will use their testing machine to tell if something is legit or not. Sometimes this is a free service and sometimes they will charge a small fee for it. But I wonder about the wisdom of stacking large pieces of silver. It very well could be of more use to stack 1-oz. coins and some 1-5 oz. bars, rather than a few large pieces.
@2is1 What is the most universally recognized gold? Say I gave to pick up a leave to a random place like Thailand or Saudi orMadagascar, would I have better luck selling a 1oz gold eagle or a 1 oz PAMP?
“They might even signal that there is a high likelihood that the person carrying them has a firearm.” This casual aside prompted much laughter from the occupants of my vehicle. It’s right up there with the European explaining to a colleague why Americans seem to be so excessively polite: “Many of them carry concealed weapons.” Another European comment about Americans: “They carry large sums of money on their person, and will kill in its defense.” God bless the USA! :)
I was talking about war about 4 years ago On one of your videos, it went completely unheard. 2027 and that's it, we are out of time and you better be prepared. Food, fuel, water and precious metals. Any other commodity worth trading, alcohol, cigarettes, anything another person would beg for, buy it. You need at least 3 years worth of food for everyone in the house, same with fuel and water. If you're addicted to any drug, you may as well go out and party and overdose when the time comes, you're not going to make it. The people won't do anything until it's right on top of them, apathy is going to be the end of the United States with a very slim chance of winning
being a dane here, I would recommend stacking on some "britannias" in different sizes. Otherwise, merry christmas / happy holidays / glædelig jul etc. and may Freyja's tears be with us (a poetic way of saying 'gold', as it's mentioned in Snorri's Edda, that Freyja cry tears of gold).
Got high land. Got physical gold. Got physical silver. Got garden. Got orchard. Got God. Got dry powder. Can identify 50 weeds for food. Got happiness. Bought bitcoin, researched bitcoin, and sold bitcoin. I worked with computers all my life. Drinking a glass of Mimosa bark tea.
I had a bunch of gold and silver for savings. Cashed alot out bought BTC and others. Early next year after Trump 2.0 kicks I be able to buy a lot more gold and some silver from the proceeds. And I do mean tubes of eagles and buffaloes. A means to an end my friends!

Thank you! Merry Christmas!
I have gold in a vault. i don't require electricity to make withdrawals.
Brett! 😮someone is in the crypto market! Sell and buy more gold in a couple months. Learned that from you a couple years ago. 😊

@@2is1golduh oh.... you've lost a fan (GC)
Ha!
No, we're extremely rude. We're not afraid of each other because we're heavily armed.
Bitcoin is a trade, as evidenced by its volatility.
I like it. Happy Holidays!
Thank you for that wonderful comment. It's always a treat when someone posts a bit of info from their culture. 👍

I had a bunch of gold and silver for savings. Cashed alot out bought BTC and others. Early next year after Trump 2.0 kicks I be able to buy a lot more gold and some silver from the proceeds. And I do mean tubes of eagles and buffaloes. A means to an end my friends!
