- This video is the brainchild of the incredible @GoodeGigglers on twitter. They are the ones who sent me into this wonderful rabbit hole of editing these specific clips of the most talented actor and loveliest giggler we know: Matthew Goode.
This project has truly been a labour of love to work on! Meant to celebrate our favourite vampire Matthew Clairmont and all three seasons of A Discovery of Witches (2018-2022).
Naturally we wouldn’t be here without the fabulous author Deborah Harkness, who wrote the books and of course Sky / BadWolf for developing them into this magical TV series we all know & love.
So after 25 brilliant episodes, 3 years of storylines and character-development - what have we learned? Well, it looks like for one character “Life has been a Photoshoot” the ENTIRE time. 😉
MATTHEW, I know you hate seeing yourself act - however should you ever stumble on this video…I really hope you can giggle along with us! 😁 Your incredible performance has been a true highlight of the show, and we thank you for entertaining us throughout the years. Editing your clips together was such a joy and the easiest part of all.

I just want to see more of this actor. He is so talented and does not take his looks seriously. He does not have to try to be sexy because it comes natural. 😊

I'm thinking the next one could be Stuart Martin. He's the Duke in 'Miss Scarlet and the Duke". There's a scene in one episode, 5th I think where he changed in front of the camera, my nervous system went BALLISTIC.
He had this stillness when playing this character. It was very appealing.

I think Deborah Harkness used Matthew Goode as her inspiration for Matthew Clairmont. The description is too spot on.
I agree, she also told BadWolf to sent the script to him first with an immediate offer to play MdC + casting decision on who should play Diana. So getting Matthew onboard was top priority. So glad he said yes! 😉

Me too! I fell in love with Declan and felt he was too good for Anna! How dare she throw his sandwich and music tape out the window! And how rude to grab the honeymoon map out of his hand and toss it into the back seat and then order him to just drive. Those are red flags to me! She will only get more controlling and demanding.

😁 Yes such a hard job indeed. Matthew really did all the hard work 🎭 I just tried to make him look as Goode as possible by editing the clips in photoshop, so we could all see his expressions a bit better. And he truly made it pure fun to edit them together afterwards.
