  • We responded to a nuisance alligator permit, and were able to successfully remove a gorgeous 8'3" alligator that was going after dogs. He was brought to the Everglades Outpost wildlife Sanctuary. By law, nuisance alligators must be euthanized or kept in captivity. Thank you so much for watching and supporting us. Your support allows us to save more animals!

I grew up in the swamps of kissimmee. I've tracked ripples deep through the swamp and watched many creatures slide from 5he banks. At the time, I had no fear, but looking back, someone must have been watching over me.

    • @CelticStar87

A lot of people I know will try to only use trappers who will take them to a sanctuary rather than killing them. If they have to use a trapper who kills they make sure the whole animal is used and the meat usually donated to a food bank willing to take it or another place that helps people in need. Unfortunately, with humans moving into their habitats more and more of these large gators are being placed into sanctuaries, but even they only have so much space. Large gators (4 feet+) have a homing beacon and will always end up back where they were caught if released back into the wild, which is why the state will not let gators of that size be released into the wild. Even miles away they will still end up where they were caught. They pose a threat to humans even if no one feeds them. They become really dangerous when they began to associate humans with food, they lose their innate fear of humans then.

"Have to use a trapper that kills"
You're never forced into calling one that kills. It's a choice.

I don't know why I was so amused by her shirt. "State Liscenced Alligator Trapper". I don't even need to see any paperwork because she has that shirt, it must be official. No way she could be an unlicensed Alligator relaser or an Alligator trapper in training because she's wearing the shirt. Plot twist: although she is official, the shirt was an unlicensed copy made in China that contained lead. Oh yeah, the video was pretty fantastic as well. Definitely not a counterfeit gator. Keep up the fantastic work you two!
