The fact that people started worshipping in the audience (look at the two people on the left in front row) and started to give her a standing ovation WHILE she was STILL SINGING shows not only the power of her voice, but the power of the Holy Spirit moving through her. God bless y’all

Charice (here 18 years old) was undeniably the most talented of all the Filipino teenagers... and one of the three best in the world alongside Angelina Jordan and Diana Ankudinova. Her powerful voice from a very young age earned her worldwide recognition in 2005, notably thanks to David Foster then Oprah and Celine Dion.
Her life journey was also exceptional, but difficult and dark. Divorced parents in a very Catholic country (therefore violently rejected by society), poverty, father murdered in the street by a drunk, little Charice makes multiple suicide attempts (she sang this "Note to God" the day after one of these attempts). Eventually, she managed to find some semblance of balance by changing gender, and became Jake Cyrus... but lost her extraordinary voice (although Jake continued to sing).
She could have become one of the greatest female singers in the world. We miss her.

You might want to consider reacting to Charice+Canadian Tenors' "The Prayer" (a Canadian Broadcasting Corp TV special) with David Foster who also is on the keyboards on this Oprah video. Thanks very much for this!

...yes, Charice Pempengco, a great singer with a very powerful voice.
Today I think his name is Jake Cyrus since he changed gender...
This video should be just before the change from woman to man... unless she has changed back into a woman and I don't know!

No, here she was 17 or 18 and she changed gender at 25... without ever becoming a woman again... although at one point, as a man, he wanted to become a mother. So, private life : it’s complicated.

The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.
    Psalm 37:23-25

Have you heard Morrisette Amon sing, Could You Be Messiah? It's a beautiful song.
