H2Overdrive is essentially just a PC game made 8 years before your laptop. This "emulator" seems to just break the encryption/emulate security hardware to allow your PC to run the software. So lower end new PCs should be able to run these arcade games with relative ease.

Hi, I really liked the video. I'm having a problem that I haven't been able to solve for about a month trying. I use an Xbox 360 controller on my arcade and I can't get the Mario Kart dx to work with the D-Pad. I tested other controllers and only with the analog stick I can control the kart. Do you know if it is possible to make the d-pad work in the mario kart arcade gp dx?
Thanks Flavio. I'm really not sure why the D-pad wouldn't be working and I'm not sure if you can enable it. I've never used a regular controller with Teknoparrot. Hopefully someone will see this and can help.
Does it not launch when you try and open it? If so, Windows may be blocking the program as a virus. It sees this software as a virus in almost all cases. Windows Defender will allow you to make an exception for it by showing it where the program is on your computer.
That may be related to Windows Defender. It sees the program as a virus and might have quarantined it. So when it goes to update, it can't find the files needed. I'm sorry I don't know for sure but that's what I'm thinking it is. You can go into Windows Defender and see if its blocked. If it is, you can make an exception.

I updated most of the things, but there was one file that i couldn't update The file is called "ScoreSubmission" or something like that, and windows defender sees it as a trojan virus. I'm only wondering just in case, since it was the only file that i couldn't update, the rest got updated just fine
Hmm. It’s possible that Windows Defender is blocking the program since it thinks it’s a virus. I had to snake an exception for mine once. I suppose I should make a video showing how to do that also. If you allow the entire Teknoparrot folder to be an exception in Windows Defender it should work.

It's probably Windows Defender viewing it as a virus and quarantining it. You can make an exception in Windows Defender for Teknoparrot. I can't remember exactly how at the moment but that should fix it.
Thanks for the reply. Nah, it wasn't Defender nor Norton which I use and watch like a hawk. If I remember right. I installed a separate instance of Teknoparrot or already had it and had no problem and then way later that day or the next everything was ok with the problem install. It was very curious that's for sure. It's been OK since. Possibly they worked on an update and it installed itself because I kept it open. Weird. In other words, I didn't do a thing and it righted itself. BTW, anytime I install something, I open norton 360 / Protected / History / quarantine and pull stuff back out and exclude . On some of these game downloads it's like busy as a cat covering feces (taking things out of norton's quarantine) Many times it will say hundreds and sometimes thousands in the community have downloaded this and yet they quarantine it. By default they seem to claim any recently new dll is a trojan horse (duh, we've not seen that too much before therefore it just has to be a trojan horse). They even broke my install of LaunchBox once (on a dll) and that was before I was on to them and knew how to undo their messups. I lost my 2 TB LaunchBox / BigBox for quite a while over them but thankfully have it back now. Shoot, I could go on a rant about norton and their incessant nag and advertising screens not to mention them running scans right when I'm doing things. Dang! after 40 years don't they know a check to see if a PC is busy involves more than mouse movement and keystrokes? Makes me so mad I could spit. Pitooee

I deleted my Teknopaarrot folder, and installed new from their site, however when I run it now it dosent let me update, nothing pops up and i cant really do much, please help!
I'm seeing that too. If you're on Chrome, you might be able to bypass that message by. clicking "Advanced" and the bottom of that is a link to proceed anyway.

I can’t remember exactly how to fix it but look in your Windows defender and see if there’s an alert about a blocked program.
Make an exception in antivirus software (probably the built in windows defender) for Teknoparrot. I'm sure there's a video on how to add exceptions for software, I've done it but don't remember exactly how to do it. You just have to tell it to allow the teknoparrot.exe file.

Hey, I am trying to run Transformers: Human Alliance on tekno but it always crashes at the third fase. Windows defender isn't the problem because I already allowed it access. I even got a patch for the exe. file because the wiki said it may be a memory issue. I do have the most up to date version of teknoparrot and did everything else correctly but the game still crashes every time it gets to the third phase. Any suggestions?

I think I had this issue once. It was the Windows Defender blocking the software as a virus. It quarantines it and it doesn't run properly. You'll have to go set an exception for it if its doing that.

I set all my light gun games up on a standalone and want to transfer the game config files to the coinops next version. Hmm...This happened to me once and I’m not sure why. I think I had to delete it and reinstall it to make it work again. Also, if Windows asks you to give it permission to use the internet, say yes.
Windows Defender always thinks its a virus. I had to actually make an exception for it. Emulators frequently look like viruses to anti virus software. I've never found any real evidence that theres any malicious software in it.
Dirty Drivin', H20 Overdrive, Star Wars Battle Pod and Mario Kart are the only ones I've tried so far. Its tough to find some of the games so I haven't gone that far with it.
I don’t. RUclips seems to dislike these videos. I’m hesitant to do more since I’ve gotten a copyright strike for showing how to set up another emulator. I never showed how to find the files but they still took it down.
Got this + some games working aside from 2 major issues: I CANNOT pause my games! I'm using an Xbox One controller for gameplay (which apparently you can't map a pause button on), but still no matter WHAT key on my keyboard I set, pressing them does nothing. Even though the config file will show Pause=whatever key I set. Another major hurdle is I cannot for the life of me figure out how to save games. Whether that involves save states or the keypad/password system in game featured in titles like H20verdrive. Really blows having to start all over from scratch after relaunching
No where, unfortunately. It would be nice if they’d officially release some of the older arcade titles for PC. I’d be glad to pay for them and the convenience. They’re basically PC games anyway.
From what I can tell, it is. I've installed it on several of my PCs and never had an issue. The software looks like a virus to anti virus stuff and Windows so you'll likely get warnings.
It will but some games will not run smoothly. I haven't done a lot of testing with the on board graphics. I know Star Wars Battlepod was extremely slow and unplayable.

The original arcade game is only intended to use an analog input such as a wheel. A digital pad isn’t the right input device
It's not working for me on my laptop. Could it be that the software can no longer run on certain computers? If it helps I'm using a Dell.

None that I know of. I use Macs as well and just don't use the computers for emulation. Most of this stuff seems geared toward Windows.

Yikes, I don't have a GT 1030 on here but will a RX Vega 8 should be strong enough even though is just a strong iGPU?
I don't know for sure but when comparing the two graphics cards, the gt 1030 is shown to be 40% faster. You can always try it though!

Oh this is going to be interesting to use emulator but how to exit the game if you want to change the game
The escape button on the keyboard is the only way to exit. Or use a front end like Launchbox and you can map an arcade button to the esc command.

I downloaded TeknoParrot folders. Man, it has a virus. I have to have Windows Defenders to remove it. TeknoParrot is not safe.
Windows Defender always thinks its a virus. I had to actually make an exception for it. Emulators frequently look like viruses to anti virus software. I've never found any real evidence that theres any malicious software in it.
What games do you recommend for teknoparrot ?
Dirty Drivin', H20 Overdrive, Star Wars Battle Pod and Mario Kart are the only ones I've tried so far. Its tough to find some of the games so I haven't gone that far with it.

I don’t. RUclips seems to dislike these videos. I’m hesitant to do more since I’ve gotten a copyright strike for showing how to set up another emulator. I never showed how to find the files but they still took it down.
Got this + some games working aside from 2 major issues: I CANNOT pause my games! I'm using an Xbox One controller for gameplay (which apparently you can't map a pause button on), but still no matter WHAT key on my keyboard I set, pressing them does nothing. Even though the config file will show Pause=whatever key I set. Another major hurdle is I cannot for the life of me figure out how to save games. Whether that involves save states or the keypad/password system in game featured in titles like H20verdrive. Really blows having to start all over from scratch after relaunching

No where, unfortunately. It would be nice if they’d officially release some of the older arcade titles for PC. I’d be glad to pay for them and the convenience. They’re basically PC games anyway.

From what I can tell, it is. I've installed it on several of my PCs and never had an issue. The software looks like a virus to anti virus stuff and Windows so you'll likely get warnings.

It will but some games will not run smoothly. I haven't done a lot of testing with the on board graphics. I know Star Wars Battlepod was extremely slow and unplayable.
