    Been looking for this handout for 30 years. Absolutely stunned that you made this video. You can literally find anything on the internet.

    This is the strength and conditioning program used by Iowa Wrestling when Terry Brands was the strength coach, along with a few highlights. Hope this can help some guys, best of luck!!!

    Royce algers was Iowa’s strength and conditioning coach.
    “All you need is a barbell. Everything that needs to be done referencing lifting can be accomplished with a barbell. The rest is a waste of time and money.”

      I’ll take Royce’s word for it, great dude! He came out and did a clinic for us a few years back. Then we went out to dinner afterwards, the man did not disappoint 🤣 told some great stories, larger than life character for sure!!!

    It makes you wish they had a real S&C coach...imagine what they guys would have done with proper form, technique, and a good training plan

      @Polentaccio Год назад +1

      agreed..but i think the jerking and "cheating" with the weight contributed to strength gains which is ultimately what they were going for over the bodybuilding hypertrophy approach. Looks like their basic weights routine was the classic 3 sets of 10 reps sort of deal which if anything would over train these guys with the amount they were wrestling.

      @@Polentaccio a real S&C coach wouldn’t have them bodybuilding
