Topher amazing video! you should be very proud of all you have done thank you for sharing your hard work and passion and your heartfelt honesty! She is a beautiful vessel and I cant wait to follow along on your journey!!
Wow!!! Congratulations 👏👏👏👏 she looks great. I cannot imagine the pride and feeling of accomplishment you must have. She is beautiful! Wishing you smooth sailing!
Topher… man you got me all emotional, because I can identify with this dream that you’ve embarked on … I’m so excited for you and will be cheering you on as you splash ! Great episode…
You wouldn't believe, I wrote a whole novel in response and your video ended and went to another which is where it ended up lol. Love your boat and the preparations. Basically were I to sell up and go long voyaging I'd rather go in a smaller boat that I'd overcapitalised to make everything as perfect and worry free as possible. I'm really more of a small boat person anyway. I doubt I'll be up to it now so I'll be following you and young Norman. Good luck with the launch.
Thanks for watching and the encouraging comment. Yeah in order to get the boat to the standard for a circumnavigation you end up spending far too much money!😀and Young Norman is going to love that hahaha
beautiful job!…looking forward to seeing her rigged and ready!… i hope that motor does the job of getting you to safe moorings, because i’m pretty sure that’s all she’ll be good for…im a guy who will sail until the last wisp of wind, but have been very glad to have an engine with a speed and range to get me out of trouble when needed…but i get why you went this route…besides use / need for propane you really are self sufficient… again, beautifully executed job on mig…she’s a very fine little yacht… i am curious why you deck mounted the back end of bow rail instead of on top of bulwark. hats off to you brother!…you’re going on one hell of an adventure!
Thanks for the comment and I would be lying if I said that I didn’t share a bit of your concern about the electric motor and it is possible that I may replace it at some point on the trip around the world but at this point knowing what I do from the offshore trip on Evie Mae I still believe the good will outweigh the bad for my sailing habits but I will always be honest about it and let everyone know the truth about it. The bow pulpit was put back in exactly the spots it was originally mounted in I didn’t see a reason to move it. 😀
In episode 40 when you did the tour of Evie Mae, I saw the Norm had an IC-7300 onboard. I assume Norm’s a ham, are you guys planning to bring a HF radio with you? Would be cool to talk to you guys out in the Pacific!
I have a Marine band, single side band radio on the boat. Yes, Norman is a ham. We have not, however, have time to actually install the SSB. We will in the future though.
I remember when these lovely boats came out forty years ago! Man--I daydreamed of doing what you are doing now... BEST WISHES to you! What time on Tue 7/18 is the splash planned for? I think I can actually witness it! That would be so cool. You've done an amazing job 👍
I just use a little air fryer that I bought off of Amazon. It is permanently mounted on a little shelf and bolted down so it doesn’t move. I use it quite a bit for heating up leftovers sometimes I even cook steaks in it lol

It was announced at the end of the video.😜 July 18.
Not a more beautiful boat on Earth!
Awww thank you! That made me smile!!
Keep up the good work.
Thanks Glenn

Thank you Kathy!!
It's awesome that Norm gets his own cabin. Is he going to have enough space to store his stuff? Make sure he brings his tie-died t-shirts. 😂
He has more space for his stuff than I do!

That would be cool! Thanks for the encouragement. The splash is at 9 AM at the Blaine boat yard. Hope you can make it!
What type air fryer do you set it up when you use it?
Thank you

So many people dare not to dream. It is a sad state of the world.
I agree with you!
