    It's so delicate and light. It's the butterfly. It sounded so joyous like a spring time.
    but...
    playing it as perfect and as fast as this is none of those things, I tell ya. *cramps*

    Incidentally, the term "Butterfly" was added much later. Chopin wasn't thinking of a butterfly when he wrote it so all comments referencing this as butterfly-like or unlike are void. Just enjoy it (or not) as the case may be. Personally I love this version.

    • @JosiasRivera
      @JosiasRivera 8 лет назад +18

      You're absolutely right. Chopin only named a few. Funeral March. I think the modern man named the etude "butterfly" because of the effect the right hand gives when playing the peiece. Resembles a butterflies open wings.

      ‘So all comments referencing this as butterfly-like or unlike are void.’ No lol, you’re not the arbiter of that. And you don’t get to tell people what they can and can’t associate the piece of music with should they choose.

      @@JosiasRiverabut it was a funeral march

    I love this song. F# and Gb are my favorite key signatures. I just wish this piece was longer, instead of lasting under a minute. Still, it remains as one of my favorite Chopin etudes. I Love it.

    Anyone else hear 3rd movement of Beethoven's op. 79 sonata, or the first movement of his op. 109? Very similar chord progression. I sometimes feel like Chopin admired Beethoven more than he was willing to admit

    Das ist absolut für mich mit Abstand die aller beste Interpretation für diese Etüde op.25 Nr.9 !! Ich kenne inzwischen diese Aufnahme dieser Etüde schon seit mehr als 10 Jahren, ich besitze die CD zu Hause, und sie bleibt für mich bis heute die Beste. Selbst heute genieße ich sie noch... Das ist wirklich erstaunlich !!

    It's a song that's nicknamed "Butterfly", so it's a cheerful and cool song. It's as if a butterfly is enjoying the spring sky to its fullest with powerful wings. It's a wonderful performance that seems to go around this flower, that flower.
