Body is mortal, but that which activates the body is immortal. When the realized Saint speaks to an afflicted man, he speaks words containing ideas. When these words are listened to properly, they become ideas in the mind of the listener. There is a incongruity in this story. How an august assembly of his parliament burst into laughter when an individual entered the court of the emperor that too as a guest of the emperor even if the individual is grotesque?That means the members of the court assembled there were below average not best of best as Swami tells. Secondly how the parliamentarians dared to laugh at a guest of an emperor? Ok. I agree that the crux of the matter is a different subject.I feel pity and rage at the behaviour of the parliament members. Swamiji himself rejoices in this particular episode I think.
I think one should hear this again. Swamiji said the sage questioned whether the parliament consisted of members who are supposed to be the best., neither the sage nor the swamiji said they are the best! If you hear it again, you will note the subtle difference.
