1992 Vintage Banshee Cerakote Brake Calipers

- Originally I planned on just cleaning up the calipers on the banshee. However, after some significant cleaning they still looked rough. So into the sand blaster they went. And after they came out, they received a fresh coat of Cerakote which has been looking brand new. Not only do they look better, they will be able to resist chemicals and dust like none other. This is definitely an upgrade. The Cerakote color I used is glacier silver and it is an air dry product.

I was looking at your video wondering if you "need" to srip the entire caliper to soak, blast, spray, and more importantly, bake. Then i started looking at the land and thinking man i gotta get tf outta Los Angeles😄
I am not sure if it is NEEDED, but that is what the manufacturer recommends. Cerakote is as good as it’s base. Good base, good quality. Great base, great quality. Land is great!

Did you spray inside the cylinders on the calipers? and what about the piston itself? I know some of the cerakotes are super thin, but was curious if the smoothness is there after cerakote for the brakes to still function correctly without leaking
Not sure if you’ve checked out the video or not. If I just sprayed it and didn’t tape off anything. They function 100% fine.
@@juicer911 Yeah when you hung em up and sprayed em I couldn’t tell if you got inside the cylinder on the caliper and if the piston was hung when you were spraying them. If it works though, thats good to hear. I’m ready do my car’s.
@@tipr8739 I will say that I am a 100% positive that a good bit of Sarah coat got into the cylinders. Although I did not intend to Cerekote them, they definitely got coated. And they still do not leak.
