Don promoted the area to visitors, and his collection of vehicles gathered from hills, valleys and abandoned properties into one place, restoring alot of them beautifully is a story itself. R.I.P. Don told me sometime in 2015 or so that he got the "weathered" look for his wooden buildings by painting them with used, dirty motor oil!
