- I have blended some of my favourite jazzy Dark Stars together into one 3 hour jam and have used Fractal Animations Electric Sheep for the visuals.
I hope you enjoy!
Thanks to electricsheep.org/ for the visuals and the SlowTV Relax&Background channel on youtube for alerting me to their existence!

Wonderful, is it possible to get an audio download??
Respect from a old Scottish Edinburgh hippie ..I am flying my freak flag for the last time..Its crossover time...We were all truly blessed to have lived thru the pinnacle of experimental music and ART...We tried to change the world ..we failed....I despair for our brainwashed youth..
As a great man once said....SEE YOU ON THE NEXT LIFE AND DON'T BE LATE...
I truly hope you made it safely to the hive brother. I can only hope the journey thru was easy wind and that when you landed your next assignment, it is a within a free spirited host that is open to your gentle, subconscious cues of guidance and not the stubborn, persistent hammer blows so many of us needed to finally see the love light of our eternal souls.
This, for the past 3 years, has been the soundtrack of my life.... on repeat......
True music for your soul. Sit back and enjoy the sounds
Reminder that all adults of sound mind should have at least 1 psychedelic experience before they're rotting.
Sound mind? sounds like a mind for sounds
Also remember that Salvia Divinorum is legal in most of the world and as long as you don't get the extracts you can smoke it pretty much every day. Also it's physically more potent than DMT or even LSD (this doesn't mean that the experience is more powerful or even similar, although it can be and for me it usually is, it just means you don't need as much of the main ingredient to blast off as you would with any other psychedelic)
Nitrous oxide and DXM are also mostly legal and provide similar experiences but aren't usually as safe or healthy as Salvia. That being said they can also be used responsibly with no negative effects and are best used in small amounts in combination with other psychedelics
And if you already knew all that then damn you should've told me sooner lol
@@newusernamehere4772 those are all dissociatives not really the same as classical psychedelics
We won't rot , we will keep on traveling through space.
💚💚💚💚💚
Sounds like 10 or 15 different bands here... Everything from Miles to the Allman Bros to Stomu Yamashta, from club to ambient, with frequent pit stops at the Dead clubhouse. 😍 What amazing versatility the 73-74 band had!
Form follows probability……if you can always return to that state of wave probability…then anything is possible till something stops you. Then you do something else.🔥🥪🌪
@@matthewmaguire3554 Far out brutha 🙃😎🥳
@@jamesnaccarato-garufi5770 good one buddy!

I'm watching this listening to Barton Hall from tonight 5/8/23. It fits well and is pretty mind blowing. I look forward to watching this with the intended soundtrack. Thank you!
Oh my dog. That’s not jelly at all. THATS MY BRAAAAAAAIN🙃😎🙃😎🙃
Wow ...been a while since I heard Jerry n the dead perform ! Gratitude 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
Seamless transitions. The music never stops, but never gets old.
Thank you so much for helping me escape into the lily fields 🙏💯💓🎸⚡⚡🌹✌️💀
Shall we go....through the transitive nightfall of diamonds ....
we shall
Remember standing in the middle of the floor at Winterland tripping big time listening to this stuff. Amazing
The later part of this was recoded at Winterland, Nov. 1973 - "Winterland 73' the complete recordings" , I was there on 11/09/73', brought two friends who were very skeptical , They got their faces melted, had the look of two deer caught in the headlights
@@rsuverk Ah yes, the good old face-melt treatment. Things are never quite the same.
With the pot leaf carpets .... Yeah maaaaannn.....
Smoking some pot to these musical treasures 🔥👀
Good God, many thanks vc 79, really enjoying this. Still remember Dark Star. In eighth, my mom & dad took me and my three bros. to see The Greatest Show on Earth, and I saw a poster GD show seats at Balt. civic ctr, bought a 8 dollar film can full of parsely sprayed w/PCP. Their was a GD show coming the following weekend,
goddamn
This is a song from another time-
that I remember oh so well.
It is a song for than, now and the future.
A time when peace, love, and hope lived in us each day.
Listen to this and look at the stars-
the Universe awaits us.
then
electric kool aid
Oh baby all 73 and 74 stars. Gotta love this.
This is what it's all about!
That's some next-level animation.

One minute of silence for those who will never get to hear the Grateful Dead
This is perfect road trip cruising music to a show!
What a great jam 🎸. You know how long the dead are known for their shows, but then again this takes the case, holy shit 😳
This little moment between 00:51:25 to 00:51:40 comes once! And it's so beautiful.
00:53:44 Something is up and then it catches fire when 00:54:13 Out of the blue: Phil finds the right vibe & everybody gets inspired! Wow!!
01:24:58 So tasty! Incredible how Jerry finds his ways!
01:26:49 Prime example for: The music is playing the band. I don't know how they found this musical dimension. But it is just incredible! It's crazy because it seems like they just "know" it will be right and it actually sounds absolutely right! hahaha I feel like most bands would just crash if they try this. There is some kind of trust and bound between the GD-members. They're having their backs. In the end this music represents their friendship. And friendship can bring you to all kind of stuff!
01:53:55 And out of nowhere: WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH Bass Bomb Phil like a force of nature hahahaha 01:59:30 He does it again and slowly magic happens. Keith and Jerry connect while Phil pushes bass lava all over the place! They are like butterflies over a volcano. Unique & timeless! Especially because after that it doesnt stop! I could write a book about this one.
2:15:10 Oh, Jerry! Just listen how perfect he hits the first couple of notes! You just know it will be great!!
Later it almost seems everything crashed and nothing will ever happen. But Phil drops something 02:22:44 and Kreutzmann kicks it and Keith joins and we have so much life all of the sudden as if it was planned to have this silent tension before. Crazy dynamics! This band is just fearless! 02:30:25 And thats the gift when you face fear: You get pure beauty! Breathtaking! Bobby plays amazing and Jerry is topping it with inimitable, inspired elegance. He splits the sea! It comes so unexpected especially if you look at the whole story of this jam! Holy smokes!!
We fuckin love the dead here hell yea
Great visuals... feels like sitting inside Jerry's glowing mind. 😍
I've been using Electric Sheep, as my screensaver, for years now. Dark Star is the perfect aural companion, to continue The Long Strange Trip with!
54:40ish is magical for the next few minutes. Always thought this was a way underated Dark Star. I bought the Dicks Picks with this Oklahoma City DS and the Salt Lake show a few days later on MP3 and that jam 😱 blew me away😲 Never understood why you never hear it mentioned in "best Dark Star ever" arguments.? Anyway thanx for this 3 hour heaven sent masterpiece. Perfect twilight background sleepity sleep ambience. Wonderful choice of shows.🎵🍄🥀💊🎶👽🌀✨🌌💎🎸🐢🌹🌈🚀😋
My favorite show 3/29/90 i attended. The buzz delivered in ❤s. The Lot knew there was something special about to happen. The 2nd Set was phenomenal dead.

Groovy brother thanks for the trip. Have a GRATEFUL year my friend.✌😎🌈🌅🐻✨🌉👏👏
Love that big chunk of Spfld 3-28-73 in the middle. Been listening to that since late '73. Still astonishing. Nice job!
Thank you again for this
Sit back and close your eyes...
My first Grateful Dead Jazzy jam was 08/21/1972 at Berkeley Community theater - ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=grateful+dead+berkeley+1972
Dude, I am so friggin' high.🤯🌈☮🕉
'73-'74 YES! '95, not as much. Thanks for putting this all together.
thanks for including 1990 - i was at that show, and it was epic
this is cool
My favorite times during Dead shows of the 70'sand early 80's and why I tell people Dead & Co is not the Dead. Without Jerry there is no leader of this band to take you to these cosmic heights. Sorry kids, it's the truth. Enjoy the historic value of these recordings.
100% when Jerry left the earth, he took with him the soul of the GD! Maybe it was too soon, but I saw The Other Ones within a year or two of Jerry’s passing, and NO… I guess I was always just one of “Jerry’s Kids”
Bob can still take you to those heights.
This track and a few beers it don't get any better
Thank you. This is great!
This is really F'N good! thanks :)
INCREDIBLE MIX!! 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
Exhibit A Why the Dead’s best years were sans Mickey.
Thank you for this mix ✌️❤️🎶
Ouch. It's fun to see who likes/dislikes who/what about the band. I'm not a Pigpen fan, but Love the music of that era. I love Donna. Keith AND Brent! more synthesizer! It was a group of people, completely human, flaws and all. Each wave has some real gems. Drums and Space forever. The BEAM! 😵
Everyone has their role. Don't always get to be the hero, sometimes have to play a villain, usually just an extra to fill the set.
Would have been their best years WITH Mickey, too. Unless of course you believe that the band would've been dragged down in their heyday by one of the world's greatest percussionists.
Peace!
so good . my new lullaby
Just subscribed to your channel ❤️looking forward to see what you’re gonna do next. Peace love , thank you for this. I did my stretching exercises to your music video🙏🌹❤️❤️❤️💨💨💨🌹
