amen about tripods!, and nice to know of another Mat Marrash watcher, his Large Format Friday is invaluable to any photographer, film and LF in particular, but these concepts can apply on all cameras, esp stability, metering the light, dof, bellows factor/filter/ext. tube compensation, darkroom practices/processes and many more, I have Autism, and love the way he, and another mat; Mat Day describe and diliver their videos, and I am a visual learner too so apreciate the slow and methodical delivery.
Thanks for the video. With the exception of the Mamiya Accessory Guide, I have all of the accessories you mention. However, for me, the first and most essential accessory was an extra film back. I normally carry my RB67 with a loaded back attached plus three extra loaded backs. I do not like wasting time loading film in the field.
that is true and probably an oversight on my part, i have a spare back but rarely use it because i'm not normally in that much of a rush so don't mind loading film, plus it takes up less space only carrying extra rolls rather than the extra back
thanks for the vid- might I suggest the left hand grip. Helps with carrying the weight, and has a hot shoe adapter to boot. Might as well add weight to carry.. more weight :) Still looking for a carrying case, if you have suggestions!
the left hand grip is definitely worth considering, i never picked one up for the RZ or RB just because of how much bigger it would make it, i have a Peak Design Everyday 20l Backpack which it just fits into the bottom of with the prism, but wouldn't with the grip, i think Mamiya only ever made Peli-Style cases for them so you might be hard pushed to find something that fits well
Hello bravo for your explanatory video, I also have this camera for a short time, .. I have a little question to ask you if you wash the answer it would be great, my camera does not trigger in normal position on the " white dot (, when I do not put a film in the back / cartridge, .. ... It triggers when I put on the M position (superposition,) and when I put a film in the back / carthouche it triggers at all speeds on the white point (normal position) ... So do you have to put a film on your back for it to trigger? Thank you very much if you can illuminate my lights. Best regards
that's correct, the camera won't fire when on the white dot without film it'll just advance continually, on M the camera will fire at all speeds because it thinks you're taking a double exposure
Do have any issues using the AE Prism Finder without the rubber eyecup? I purchased an RZ67 Pro ii “kit” that came with AE Prism Finder but rubber eyecup is missing. Thanks
this is the second AE finder i've had, the first didn't come with a rubber eyecup and the second had it and i instantly removed it😂 just prefer it without and think it's easier to use as a glasses wearer
both of the AE prisms for the RZ have an option for spot and average, but there should be a dot in the middle where the meter automatically changes between the two when needed
ebay will always be your best bet as they come up most often but would recommend going around real camera shops or their websites as they should have a warranty and will have been checked, but you'll end up paying more for it

Iv only found PD meters with average and spot meter modes 😮 not the middle option

which godox trigger are you using. my fuji one doesnt seem to fit in the hotshoe. assuming something with the pins.
i was using the Xpro N, just make sure that the lock isn't engaged before trying to slide it on
I have the same problem. The pins in the trigger don’t allow for it to slide entirely into the camera’s hot shoe.
I use a cold shoe in between the godox trigger and the body
hello nice video, do you have the link of your tripod ?
the tripod i use is a Sirui N-3004x which they've discontinued now but the company Sirui still make really good tripods
Hi, I'm looking into getting a Mamiya. Where did you get yours from?
ebay will always be your best bet as they come up most often but would recommend going around real camera shops or their websites as they should have a warranty and will have been checked, but you'll end up paying more for it
A G3 Hood and a 500MM APO is what you really need
I wish
where did you get the strap & flash?
the strap is an Optech Super Pro Strap type B and the Metz flash was from ebay and i'm only borrowing the Godox flash
