I bought 2 of the white scale knives. Dyed one purple, and the other blue. I went back to get some more but they were all gone. The pallet of these knives, at my local Walmart is almost gone! I would say they had about a dozen knives left, last time I went.
I have 2 of the $5 stormtrooper Walmart knives. I stropped one to shaving sharp. The action is fantastic. Yeah, the cheap steel will get dull quickly, but it's easy to sharpen, and I only use it to open packages, etc. I have better knives, but I still like the stormtrooper.
I would really kind of like to see a review of the cross-bar locking one... Not just because I really like the colors, but I think it would be interesting if you could find a way to compare it with a more upscaled budget cross-bar. Something along the lines of a SOG Terminus or something else in that price neighborhood..
Yeah, like, the steel definitely isn't going to blow anyone's mind, but that's also not what they're trying to do. Imo, ozark trail is basically a quality floor for the knife industry: as their quality creeps up, and their price remains dirt cheap, it forces everyone else to improve. Like, there just isn't competition at their price point; they're just kinda flat-out _better_ than the other dirt cheap knives. Like, it may be low hanging fruit, but look at a classic dirt cheap knife: the gerber paraframe. The paraframe is basically 2-3 times the price and is, quite frankly, worse than either of these knives; it's an old knife design, so it's not really the knife's fault, but I think it's a good example of how ozark trail's rising tide forces boats to rise with it or risk sinking.
Exactly! These aren't the best knives ever, but they ARE the best 5 dollar knives ever. I don't care what brands like Benchmade think about these knives, I want brands like Gerber to feel compelled to step up thier game.

It's all those dang RUclips knife guys telling people to buy them!😂😂
They really are nice for $5. Great for opening boxes and such. 👍🔪
Exactly👍
I'd agree with you on the actions on the orange vs. white crossbar knife. I don't have any experience with the green knife. Worth $5 all day.
All day long. Thanks for watching!
The green one isn't bad, definitely could use some lubricant when you first handle it. The liner lock is a bit tuff to manipulate sometimes.

Exactly. Thanks for watching, man!
I hope I don’t miss out on these knives, this year.
I hope so, too! Keep an eye out👍

About as good as you can get for 5 bones 👍
