On another note, I have the PC Expert Software release of this game, but all the music tracks are out of order on the CD. Is it possibly a bootleg or were there other Expert Software releases like this as well?
This wouldn't have saved the Saturn - far too late in the release cycle - but I still remember the enormous disappointment in playing this and the insane difficulty level.
I got this years later - it’s almost unplayable with a standard controller (that’s my experience anyways) but I was expecting the next Daytona USA with this one

It does have some remastered sega rally's OST tracks, like Conditioned Reflex (the Desert course theme) Edit: also you can unlock the Toyota Celica and Lancia Delta from Sega Rally after you beat the game, though their handling is horrible xD
STCC driving mechanics doesn't feel like touring car physics at all, with base handling mode it's more like a tamed version of Sega Rally '95's physics
I picked this one as the first game for my brand new Saturn. It was instant regret. Game was difficult as hell and the physics were weird. But my parents didn't have enough money to spend in more games for a while so I got stuck with this one for several months. I ended up mastering this thing, breaking records in all courses, unlocking the Proto, then racing it endless times until his AI became virtually unbeatable. Then the trained A.I. beats the game for me. Weird game indeed.
-On a scale from 1 to 10, how fast do you want it to be?
-Yes.
Eurobeat goes well with everything
Ah, the only racing game with eurobeat that's not Initial D or street racing themed.
Sonic R was kinda Euro sounding. Made by Travelers Tales.
@@Lightblue2222 eurodance but not eurobeat
eurobeat is what you hear in initial d and here
@@minignoux4566 You know that this is mostly euro dance?

Sega, you used to be so silly back in the day.
Sega, It’s stronger than you.

I hear it's best with analog control but almost no one had the Saturn 3D pad or steering wheel. Some racers dont fair well with standard dpad.

Sega's fault Saturn never survived outside Japan, but in Japan it was very competitive, the most successful console by far for Sega in Japan...

haha this is my sweet long memories as a boy aaaa ^_^ playing every friday and weekend after school
Calibra and the Alfa. Memories.
This looks just as good as the Gran Turismos on PS1.
Sega was not popular with the western gaming media after 32x and Mega CD.
But, it suffers from lots of texture warping.
Man is this FAST
Feels faster than Wipeout
What controller you using? 😲
I ❤ saturn
Yo, have you ever done Dyna Brothers long play?
But is the arcade game this annoyingly fast, or is it more "normal"?
The framerate looks way better than on my saturn
A spin-off from the Daytona usa perhaps?
Deja Vu!
That April Fool event, are you MEANT to go the wrong way and do a fast lap and total time? Or do you turn around and face the opponents?! 😂🤔
You are meant to go the wrong way. I used to switch the Saturn's internal clock to April 1st every now and then just for that xD
A gameplay video of Zen-Nihon GT-Senshuken - Hyper Battle Game for the SNES when? It's a game made by Banpresto in 1995, with JGTC cars.
I looked it up and it seems interesting and its not on the site yet so I may record this next.
Thank God for Gran Turismo
Looks like it's built off the SEGA Rally engine.
