Being that I can't really justify buying a dedicated hand held retro console for the amount that I'd actually use it, along with the fact that I've not seen one that ticks all the boxes for my requirements, I too have been using an xbox controller with a clip for the last few months. My phone is just a mid-range Android but it's been more than capable at running everything that I've wanted at both impressive frame rates and resolutions. As you pointed out, the only issue is the weight distribution, which has caused a couple of 'moments' in the past. So it's good to see more competition in the market for alternative controllers. Great video mate, keep it up!
Thanks bro and sorry for the late reply. The controller/clip solution is a great one and it kind of puts into perspective that a lot of these handhelds are just a luxury. It's a great way to satisfy the gaming urge until your version of a perfect handheld releases. Just watch your face when playing lying down 😅
I returned my razer kishi ultra twice due to receiving messed up thumbsticks that stuck and grinded horribly. For $150, i just couldn't justify that, to be honest, so i tried again.... and after receiving another messed up one, same dang thumbstick, i give up. After a bunch of research, ive come to find this guy, the abxylute s9!!! I'm going to give this one a try, ive heard some great things. It's sad because honestly, the razer kishi ultra is absolutely a beast of a controller man. Just my experience has been horrible, and for 150 thats crazy. So hope this one is better.
So honestly, i do think the Razer Kishi Ultra is better as far as comfort and just how it feels. The Kishi Ultra is the closest thing to a ps portal. It feels just like the portal on the hands. If it wasnt for the manufacturing issues i had with it, i would choose that over the abxylute s9. I also bought a gamesir galileo for my partner, and i honestly think the Gamesir feels better and is better quality than abxylute s9. S9 has better app than gamesir, but gamesir feels better fs. My order would be this for top 3. 1. Razer Kishi Ultra by far 2. Gamesir Galileo 3. Abxylute s9 All good controllers, but man the kishi ultra feels more premium than both of these put together. It's the layout of the controller, and the overall build quality is just superior fs, if you manage to get a ultra with no issues that is. I tried 3 times man. Sad. @alanthropist
@@alanthropistalso, side note. For some reason, they are not shipping in these boxes that ive seen reviewers have. Just comes in a regular old brown box..
@@WeAsOneRiseGaming Razer has remarkable build quality. I'd put their premium feel along w/ Apple's and MS too (for the Surface line and peripherals). The only reason I'm keeping my Razer Edge after buying a Rog Ally is the Edge's & Kishi V2 build quality 👌
Can you actually launch a game without pressing the screen as with the Backbone app? Not that the Backbone app is great since it lacks the option to create your own favorites list and you cannot remove all the promoted app/genre banners in the homescreen. With the Razer Nexus app you can create your own collections of game but still have to press the screen to launch a game.
I'm kind of disappointed that the week of gaming on a phone video was a review of the Abxylute S9 instead. I guess for once I should have believed the title of a RUclips video.
Nice... You can drop a RaZeR Edge Tablet... instead of your everyday use of cell phone.... 6.8" 144Hz Amoled Screen/ Snapdragon G3x gen 1/ wifi 6gb ram or Verizon 5g version 8gb ram/Active cooling system / 128gb internal storage + MicroSD-Card support... I recommend the Verizon 5g version/ 8gb ram... That is being slod at lower price now... 🧐🤓😎

Yeah, the price of this definitely makes it a big selling point!
How has your experience been so far?

Gamesir G8 Galileo or G8 Plus are the best most comfortable controllers for phones and tablets available
For now, we have to wait until the S9 hit the market to see.
S9 is pretty much as comfortable as I've used in any controller let alone mobile

Yes you can once your in the app you can launch them with just the controller. I'll be dropping a review soon, S9 vs Galileo vs Razer kishi ultra
Yeah you can, the App is actually really good. I was seriously impressed!!
I think the only way this works is a separate phone and possibly a smaller form factor.
Unless you're not planning on taking it everywhere.
I've always kept my ipega in the glove box
Yeah seperate phone is definitely a huge bonus
Does anyone know if it works with Warzone mobile
It will work with any android game, at least with the touchscreen mapping

Don't worry I'm planning a month long gaming on a phone in the near future ;)
