I am happy Papa Jee is there by himself and Mama Jee was not able to talk over him and steal his shine...like she did Ahmed.. He seems like a wonderful man very calm with alot of patience..Enjoyed his interview..
I don't think she purposely tries to steal anyone's shine. She's naturally quite an extroverted person, so therefore loves to talk a lot, which is quite endearing. But yeah, it was really nice to see papa jee have his moment.
She doesn’t steal anyone’s shine. All brown moms are like this may Allah keep them healthy, wealthy and happy always and give them a long, beautiful life Ameen Sum Ameen
Cannot respect our father's enough for smiling through the stories which they tell us about their struggles. They gave u the privileged life you're living. God bless papa jee
I love to see how wajeeh don’t judge his fathers english and nowadays kids in Pakistan especially mocks parents for their English, that’s amazing wajeeh
This episode makes us all think of all the hardships and struggle our parents had to deal with back then, their level of perseverance, resilience and hardwork is unmatchable! a whole new country, language, customs and what not!! wow!!! parents make it so much easier for us. so grateful for them. lots of love and blessings to all our parents! This was inspirational. Lots of love and blessings to papa jee and mamma jee too :)
Omg you managed to get Papa Jee on finally!! This is history in the making 😂😋 Interesting to know how Papa Jee's journey started from finding out about America from the Olympics to ending up in LA and meeting Mama Jee. Both got married without their own families present as they couldn't travel back but they had many of their friends attend their wedding. I think a lot of immigrant parents could relate to these stories, the struggles....Papa Jee & Mama Jee's love story is unique though, they were destined to meet.
This brought tears to my eyes, this is some of the struggles majority of our dad’s went through. They sacrificed so much for our future. I wished I could have recorded my dad’s story while he was alive. 😢 May Allah grant him and everyone’s deceased parents with jannatul Firdous. Ameen Never take your parents for granted. They are the biggest blessing.
I am convinced basically all foreign parents have the same coming to America story, and all our dads are the same 😂😂😂 . As an East African I love watching your podcast , it’s awesome to see how most of us have vv similar upbringings !
His story is WILD btw. wow!! The fact that he was able to make such a big journey by himself, unable to speak in English, with such little.. this is incredible! Masha'Allah!
what a incredible journey , thanks for the RUclips algorithm showing me this ,uncle ji nature is typical Punjabi Indian dad ,grew up in Indian Punjab lives in states atm ,but that's defiantly miss my dad
Awww uncle ji such a lovely person, calm and collected. Uncles story was really Interesting to hear. How he came to Canada the whole journey was really cool. He's done a great job with Ahmed n Wajeeh should be really proud n blessed with having Wajeeh buying them their dream house mA. Enjoyed the pod as the convo was how it should be, giving each other time to speak. Await uncleji part2....maybe Uncle with his boys in next 1
I grew up without a dad since the age of 6 and I’m now 30 now plus years. My dad is an immigrant too, and honestly listening to your dad in this video gave me something that my own dad couldn’t. So thank you for sharing your parents with us, not all of us get the blessing to enjoy these conversations with our parents
What a story ! The struggle was amazing ❤ love for papa Jee for loving his daughter and giving her that special treatment like he used to give to Mumma Jee ❤❤
‘Jahan par neend ayi go to sleep’ gotta be my life motto from now on😭😂absolutely loved the podcast papa jee talks amazingly and reminded me alot of my baba the struggles desi parents go through makes them have the most jaw dropping stories lol💁♀️
Punjabis literally have no fear whether they are Indian or Pakistani. I’ve heard many similar stories from Indian Punjabi uncles. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how you came to America, only thing that matters is what you did when you came here 🙏
No wonder mama jee worries like a typical desi mom because she was also THAT GIRL In her younger days lol so she knows ❤ Disney, Vegas, pick up and drop offs ❤❤❤
Your podcasts are so wholesome and real. Always a joy to watch. Truly appreciate the time you put into making them. Especially this episode with the amount you had to translate. Can just imagine you sitting there editing. 😅 Plus from brown kid to brown kid your Urdu speaking and listening is 10/10
What an amazing life story. Your parents are gems, always respect them as they have been through many struggles in their past. Many immigrant parents go through hardships to build a family away from their ancestral homeland. Let’s not take them for granted. Your mum and dad are so sweet. Love watching and listening to them. Stay blessed you guys🙏🏻
MashaAllah cute family! It’s beautiful & inspiring to hear stories of different life journeys. How Allah plans everything for us and we keep working towards our goals & dreams in the meanwhile. Good podcast!
This had to be the best chai talk please do bring back papa g my parents are from jhelum so I can understand his punjabi very interesting life he had really enjoyed watching this chai talk
i think lot of people who came around that time can relate to this episode. I remember as a kid in 1991 we use to stay by the pay phone and we called it " kancha" one person will tell us " kancha lag gaya " then all the desis will call from that phone, oh my god such fond memories .
Thank you for this. I dont know if this will make sense but this was a much needed break from everything going on lately. Nothing was able to switch me off and make me smile for a bit but this did. I understand those going through it cant ever switch off. Allah mustaeen. I know we cant stop no matter how 'tired' we get, it's nothing compared to their plight. Those people are something else. SubhanAllah. But ye, ykwim
Your urdu is great lol and it was so lovely to see Papa Jee. What a bloody crazy story! Such a cool episode. We definitely need a part 2! I really needed this episode today
Ma sha Allah. As alam o alaikum Fantastic, my father also used to tell how he came to Norway. Respect and honor to them. They have worked hard for the life we live today and everything we take for granted. Love from Norway. 😍🥰👍🇳🇴
This is so freakin amazing 😂for the first time i saw papa g talking his heart out 😂 at the start he was little shy but after that booooom he was like "shutup this is my show" 😂😂😂 bless u Papa g
I really enjoyed this podcast. Your father is very sweet, and his story resonated with our own immigrant parents struggle ❤ The uncertainty at every step is harrowing - bless them for their self belief and courage.

💯 absolutely
My thoughts exactly!!!
I don't think she purposely tries to steal anyone's shine. She's naturally quite an extroverted person, so therefore loves to talk a lot, which is quite endearing. But yeah, it was really nice to see papa jee have his moment.
Agreed
She doesn’t steal anyone’s shine. All brown moms are like this may Allah keep them healthy, wealthy and happy always and give them a long, beautiful life Ameen Sum Ameen

I love to see how wajeeh don’t judge his fathers english and nowadays kids in Pakistan especially mocks parents for their English, that’s amazing wajeeh
Kids everywhere, even in America, do the same. Its just that Wajeeh is a sensible person.
English is just a language. They are crazy for only one language
that's just BASIC human decency...shame that the pakistanis you describe have lost it
Those are just some insecure nerds, jatts dont have an inferiority complex
This episode makes us all think of all the hardships and struggle our parents had to deal with back then, their level of perseverance, resilience and hardwork is unmatchable! a whole new country, language, customs and what not!! wow!!! parents make it so much easier for us. so grateful for them. lots of love and blessings to all our parents! What a humble, hard-working, and simple man. Total journeyman. Thank you for showing this side of him. Mama Jee does him injustice...
