Not to mention what are the odds that she was even close to her parents house? If I'm running away from kidnappers I'm stopping at the first gas station or store or house I see and having them call the police. I'm not going to continue on foot to find my parents house specifically while a kidnapper is potentially hunting me down to kill me because he doesn't want to go to jail for kidnapping.
