Yes, it is. Look up Five Boro Bike Tour and this time next year, you will be in it yourself. A great time overall and recommend it for sure...Can't really recall the cost though.
It definitely wasn't. Subway service re-routed. Angry drivers finding out streets were closed for it. I was out in Brooklyn Heights and then DUMBO. Normal day, but tons of people biking select streets all nearly wearing similar colors.

Are E bikes allowed in this event? I have had multiple spine surgeries so it’s a bit hard for me to do conventional bikes. Honestly, even with an electric bicycle I’d be pushing my limits….😅
