That was an excellent match. Great volley work by both teams but the winners had a little quicker hands and more consistent technique i think. I have a lot of work to do to even get close to those guys abilities! Thanks!
For your infomation, the Gold Medalist Team are Jonathan Z Lee/Larry Wang from South Jersy Pickleballs. This year, they are defending champions for this bracket, and acquired the Gold back to back, consecutively for two years.
How does that back to back gold work? Would they not move up in ranking if they were the best 4.0's? I've never been rated or in a tourney, so don't know ...
Even if you win gold in 4.0, your rating is not pushed above 4.0 until you start playing 4.5. Theoretically, a player could win gold many times in the same level.
Great game! The winners were very gracious in giving a ball back that had been called out by one of them. Both sides played great but I'm sure the losers are going to be kicking themselves about the last two points where on return of serve one of them hit the tape and other one hit a ball out.
4.0? if you are strong in 4.0 competitions, that just simply means your rating is wrong. That's no point to divide players with ratings. I am OK to divide players with ages. You can say he is age 65+ national champion. But 4.0 national champion is just a joke.

I did not see a double bounce at 19:15. Very nice match with great plays by both sides.
i also so no double bounce.

Yep - 4.5’s minimum …
These are very strong 4.0
There’s a lot of sandbagging in pball tourneys.

Are these guys true 4.0s or playing down?
Close match!
I didn't think a player could wear yellow clothing at a tournament. The ball could appear to disappear against the background of these shirts.

Yeah!😆 Colored shirts made several questionable line calls.
They CONSTANTLY moved forward on each serve, then had to back up and hit the return of serve.....
