UPSC Civil Services Exam is one of the most prestigious exams in the country. It has three parts, the Prelims exam, the Main exam and the Personality test, which you need to clear in order to become an IAS or IPS officer. All other Group A services of the Government of India recruit people through the UPSC Civil services exam itself and because of this, there is a lot of competition in this exam. Most probably you're not eligible for ews. If you're applying for 2024, it means your I&A certificate must be based on 2022-23 FY and that too be less than 8 l.p.a. And one more thing you cannot change your category if you do not fall under obc or sc or st.
Sir,I am from Bihar state. I made my obc ncl first time for 2024 upsc exam. So it is based on FY 2022-23 and income from other source is below 8 lakh at this FY. But i do not have previous 2 FYs Income certificate i.e 2021-22 and 2020-2021. So this can create issue in Document Verification time because UPSC has mentioned that the obc ncl certificate must be based on 3 consecutive FYs income (2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 FYs)???

In this video sir mentioned that matriculation/secondary leaving certificate is required for verification of date of birth…but I don’t have that….It was taken in college during admission & after completion of degree they gave me college leaving certificate.
So during mains can I upload college leaving certificate or should I take duplicate secondary leaving certificate?

Take an affidavit stating that both are the same person i.e. your father. You can give the same during the interview. Not an issue.

If other income is 8+ i.e excluding salary then you aren't. Otherwise you are. Salary isn't counted

In Bihar we don't have Tehsil or Tehsildar. We have Circles and Circle officers equivalent to the rank of Tehsildar. Does their signature work on the EWS certificate?
No. You have to get it sign from SDO level.

Center govt. Doesn't issue SC certificate as the caste will be permanent ig, i was also confused and i kinda confirmed from cafe's and govt. employe as well.
my friend who is also SC gave GATE exam and through those marks he got chance into NHPC , he filled up the form , after the result he got a call from them they said that your sc certificate is not issue by central govt but state govt. ... NHPC despite being a cental agency asked for this thing . and now he has got issued a cental cert. from our nearby jan suvidha kendra . so i also got confused after this @@UPSCwithUpasna

Show Nhpc despite being a central agency did this thing therefore after that I also got confused about this. Now he has applied for a central cast certificate through our nearby Jan suvidha kendra . Central government is issuing SC cast certificate for sure because I have seen it by myself .

The central government doesn't provide caste certificates. It is the state govt who provides. Keep this in mind that your SC caste certificate must be at the central level (meaning your caste to be listed in the central list), that will be issued by the state govt.
