Don't those numbers sound MUCH more realistic for a crime like this? The man would have never been forgivin if he showed up with a gun, and im certain he would have gotten 15-20 years MINIMUM. We need all people including women to fear being arrested, because there are way too many false accusations that make it SOOO far... meanwhile real things that happened are pretty much swept under the rug like this.

      Definitely wouldn’t get 20 years. Thats why there are so many repeat offenders… but I agree the double standard is rough. Especially for situations when a woman has her boyfriend kill her child ie Gabriel Hernandez. I think that the woman should get the same sentence as a man.

    I never once heard her say she was sorry for abusing the boy. She said she was sorry for the mother and her family, which also didn't sound genuine. She said she crossed boundaries of the client social worker relationship. This is more than crossing boundaries. Crossing boundaries with an adult patient would be one thing, and also unacceptable, but she completely minimizes what she did and it's pathetic. If a guy was doing this he would be in prison for 10 years, if not more.
