Thank you so much for this edit! Ep. 9 was - in my eyes - one of the best episodes of throughout the season. The Romitri scene was out of the world. Of course I was hoping for a kiss but I'm kind of glad the showrunners decided to leave it with them forgiving each other and acknowledging their love for one another. It was amazingly done and I just loved to see that Dimitri did everything he could to still protect Rose. He even accepted that Rose is with Mason now and knowing he would be thrown to the dungeons he knew he wasn't ever going to see her again. I know there are some Mason fans out there so fight me on this but: Why the hell did Mason go to talk to Dimitri and was so aggressive towards him? Dimitri never did anything in this battle for Rose that was unfair. He however steps there and says "f*** you" for no reason. Dimitri never bragged about Rose. Mason, I liked you until this episode - I never thought you have any chance against Dimitri, but I genuinly liked you - but you overstepped a line with not telling Rose what was going to happen to Dimitri. If it was the other way around, Dimitri would have told about Rose - and she would have stayed for Mason too. Dimitri would have told her because he would have wanted her to be able to save her best friend. Mason however was selfish and he even said so. "I'm with her now" and "nothing else matters". Big red flag here...
Mason’s always been a bit of a red flag, where Rose is reckless when it comes to her own life so she can protect others, Mason is reckless with other people’s lives for the sake of his own pride (Spokane…). His motivations are selfish. I think his ‘fuck you’ at the end was because of what just said, ‘if she knows what’s going to happen to me, she won’t leave’. This line shows Dimitri’s utter devotion to her happiness, but also rubs it in mason’s face a little bit that they both know who she would choose when it came down to it. It’s nothing but truth, but it’s still gonna burn, like what Meredith was saying earlier. Mason knows he’s second best, and he knows he wouldn’t put Rose first in the same way as Dimitri does. His ‘fuck you’ came from a place of feeling his own inadequacy.
Some say there's no chemistry between them, but chemistry is all I see when they're on a screen. Some things are a bit rushed, but still. Love this edit and the song
If you don't see chemistry between Kieron and Sisi you must be blind. They are incredible. They are so on fire everytime they appear together on screen. It's crazy and sometimes I even get some hard Delena-vibes. Next to them Christian and Lissa look so flat. And Julie Plec knows that - that's why Rose and Mason always only get messy love scenes as well as (erks, it hurts everytime I have to mention it) Dimitri and Tatiana. But when Romitri comes together it's not messy anymore. We get hot, pure love scenes. That reunion in ep.9? Dimitris eyes were screaming "kiss me now and I won't be able to pull back" and Rose's eyes were screaming "I really want to kiss you but if I do that now I know I won't be able to run away and this morning I just slept with Mason" - and while looking at each other they are not saying a single word. It made me speechless. Did anyone notive how Dimitri looked away when he promised Rose they would see each other around? He couldn't even lie to her face. Mason however serioulsy didn't tell Rose what's going on and doesn't even feel bad about it. How selfish can someone on love me?

I mean, there ARE Rose and Mason fans out there and I was genuinly fine with that... except these two don't fit if we look at how the characters are written. I know I'm kind of the only one who has this opinion but: I didn't freak out after the Tatiana-Dimitri-hoockup. Yes, I was screaming at my screen and eating my towel, but I understood that Dimitri was just beaten up by the girl he loves BECAUSE he loves her, that he has lost everything that mattered to him by chosing exactly that girl and that he did have no one to turn to for comfort. Tatiana - in this moment - did understand him somehow. She also has no one that would stand by her (well, I wonder why =) Everyone says they are okay with Mason and Rose because they are friends and he is cute... Only that he isn't. He is jalous as fuck. He is selfish. He does everything Rose wants, gets pissed at her for having feelings for Dimitri, is pissed at Dimitri for being number one and does everything he can to pull Rose away from her loved ones. He lies to her (not to protect her but to have her for himself), he doesn't want to change the system because he wants to change it but because he does whatever Rose asks him to do, he gets pissed when she tells him to go for help because he just hasn't experienced the same as she did. I just don't like it. My problem I guess is that I hate Tatiana no matter what. If there is a hookup I hate, I hate her even more. But Mason? I want to like him, I tried, but there are so many red flags I can't ignore. He isn't supposed to be someone who's selish or jalous or whatever. So yeah, Plec gives us these couples to demonstrate how strong Romitri is but also because this is how shows work. You can't have a couple together for multiple seasons, that would be too boring (PLL proved that pretty well). Also: Most couples lose their spark when actually being together (Delena). It's the forth and back that gets us on the hook; we hate it but we keep watching it because we need to know how it ends. Plec knows exactly what she is doing and I am just SO happy she mentioned that her favourite couple is Adrian and Sydney, because halleluja, I would trust her to have Adrian and Rose be married by the end of season 2 or whatever 😆 (Of course I'd prefer Adrian a hundred times over Mason. I wanted him to die before but after seeing how aggressive he got in ep. 9 and knowing that because of him Rose isn't at the academy when chaos breaks out, I really wish he dies a horrific way lol)

Are you kidding me. it throws me when people say that there's no chemistry. What are they watching? I can't tell you how many times I've rewinded and watched the end of ep 6 and the beginning of ep7. the way they devour one another. but honestly it's the way he looks at her, like she's the only star in the skies. Like, he couldn't breathe air without her. everytime...that look is haunting.
Also, book Dimitri would approve of this song. He'd own at least one Kate Bush album, probably The Sensual World. I feel like he'd strongly relate to the lyrics "You come walking into this room / like you're walking into my arms. / What would I do without you?"
oh my great lord. That was perfect. the song fit so well with their situations. heartbreaking, how you can love someone with all that you are and not wanting to change them, only for the better. they did that. he keeps putting his Roza first. risking his life for hers, to be happy. we all were hoping that they would kiss the last moment they looked at each other. that yearning in his eyes to breath her in again. and she hesitated for those moments to soak him in. They knew that was goodbye. And they knew that if they gave into each other, even for the tiniest of moments. That, that would break them, completely destroy them. worse than the fight in episode 8. Cause she wouldn't leave him. he proved to her he put her first. But even that they still can't be together in an unjust society. and hes heading to the dungeons. taking the ultimate sacrifice. to give her that chance to be free. Thank you for that amazing story,woven a beautiful tale
Omg this 😍 I've been waiting for someone to make an edit of romitiri ep9 I loved this scene between them when she apologizes for beating like that him saying forget it rosa I really hope rose turns back around I didn't think she would try to Runaway ep9 are you me I wanted to see her journey in the human world but not with mason hopefully she makes mason go back to the academy and rose feels lissa in danger and rose and lissa Runaway instead I really hope romitiri have scenes together in ep 10 and maybe a kiss between them people saying he's going to turn I really hope not not yet at least if we have second season which I hope we do he turns somewhere in season 2 not in last episode I rather rose and lissa Runaway and maybe a big death happens hopefully more edits come of romitiri hopefully we get a second season

I had this feeling something was up with Andre--possibly still alive and shadow-kissed--but because I really enjoyed the interaction with Lissa while she was having her existential moment, I was so happy to see him alive. I was also convinced that Tatiana was behind everything, so no surprise there either. (I'm even more convinced she's got Avery Lazar's storyline now.) I just hope Andre survives so we can see him and Dimitri bond. Poor tortured boys. I feel like they could be best friends. I need to see them getting a beer and playing eight-ball at the dhampir bar together. I need it.
