I rarely comment on YT but I can't help myself. I stumbled over these videos, having no clue about poker. I watched them, as they were a nice contrast to my research in the lab, and since I did not need to understand what Brad was telling me. Still, they were so enjoyable, funny and interesting, that I really got hooked.
Now, I can't wait for the next one, having learned a lot about poker and having become a big fan.

An ICM chop was proposed not an even split. So he was only getting a little extra EV from the added cash his opponent offered. If it was an even split, he probably would've taken it.

@@professorstock4362 I don't think that would have felt so good. Brad got to fight like his dad might have wanted him to, and a new player got a big score without having to split money with 2nd, I think it's perfect the way it happened.
Brad shoulda took the chop I see his point of view. In the end they both did each other a favor, Brad wanted to either win 1st or lose 2nd which I respect. Brandon wanted his first win and he didn’t end up having to fork over any dough
As an extreme casual player (maybe play once every two month) I love the content Brad. I've watched nearly every single video. Just wanted to say watching your growth has been awesome and I love every second of it.

Your dad taught you much more than poker, Brad. Your dad taught you a whole lot of life skills: loyalty, humor, humility, organization and many other practical skills that let you be the best poker player you can be. I all of us would agree you did the right thing leaving your chips stack at the Venetian to be with your family. Whether your run good is due to your dad we may never know; you can bank on the fact your run good as well deserved based on those other things he taught you.

I learned to play poker at 12 years old. My uncle(whom I lived with) and his friends were really into Holdem in the late 90s. Years of house game tournaments and dealers choice. I stopped playing until coming across a Brad Owen Video about 4 years ago. Natural story teller, easy to follow, and seemingly a great all around guy! Keep it up!
