- Yo Whats Up! Today I'm back with a cool DIY video tutorial for a side split hem finish on your dress pants. I have always enjoyed the little detail that gives out the biggest style features in an outfit.

This is exactly what I needed to watch. I LOVE that you show the actually sewing UP CLOSE on the machine for people like me that don't sew often and need the visual 'how to' details. Also the stitching close up and the nice, slow speed showing the needle work really helps me. Good camerwork! Thanks!

Just took up my new golf pants with the girlfriend's sewing machine. They already had a split and I wanted to keep it. Was racking my brain trying to figure out how they did it. This video was a huge help. Cheers!

Hey! Is this possible to do with pants that are new and already the right length? Like how would this work if your not hemming you just want slits?

This is neat. But I wish you had shown doing it without having to unhem the pair of pants entirely. Maybe it can't be done that way. Or maybe I will figure it out. Thanks for a nifty new trick. The video was very well made and ecplained.

Full line is cuff size plus split hem... so for you it would be 2 inch cuff, 2 inch split so 4 inches together. Commenting for later if I need help again :D

If you are referring to the sleeves on a blazer then yes, but just a little different if it has a lining.
