- Here we have two Stanier Pacifics, a 'Princess' in blue livery, and a 'Coronation' in green livery passing each other on expresses. Both trains are sporting coaches in the 'new' crimson and cream livery, the 'Princess' hauling ex LMS stock and the Coronation hauling the then new BR Mk1 stock. Also in view is a Hughes/Fowler 'Crab' with a partially fitted freight train.
46206 Princess Marie Louise: Latest Hornby version.
46252 City of Leicester: Hornby (heavy die-cast metal).
Hughes Crab: Bachmann.
How nice it is to wake up here in Oz and be able to watch a few minutes of running on your layout before getting out of bed and facing the day.
As much as I love to watch your comparison and more educational videos. Sometimes I just like to watch trains run.
You always seem to find the right balance of passenger with the big Glamour Pacifics and interesting rakes of mixed goods.
Thankyou as always.
Greetings from Blighty to you and all you great Oz folk. Sir, the pleasure is all mine! Thank you for your support, you comments, your understanding and enthusiasm. I will keep doing these videos for as long as I can. The U.K. is on the brink...something is going to happen...exactly what, I don't know but the country is well on its way to hell in a handcart that's for sure.
All the best,
Graeme
WCML - thats my dream scene - Liverpool Exchange to Glasgow Central thru Carlisle ( my favourite railway haunt) Beattock Summit and maybe thru Dumfries in those days ( well worth a visit - gardens and model layout looked after by volunteers ) . and over the Clyde and passing over the " Hielan'mans Umbrella " - then coming to rest at Glasgow Central. What a great railway journey.
Very evocative contribution. Delighted you enjoyed the journey, Many thanks!
You always manage an entertaining "watch" thanks.
Hello Chris, As always, delighted you enjoyed!

Hello, Thank you for your kind endorsement. More to follow!👍
In the 1950s family took the Express from Liverpool Exchange to Glasgow Central. The rural backdrop looks familiar - Shap , Beattock. ? Banking engine at Beattock. I have Transaccord EP of this. Magnificent model railway.
Hi, Many thanks indeed for your comments and observation. I lived in Liverpool in my childhood (Bootle and Mossley Hill) and was familiar with Edge Hill, Bank Hall and Speke Junction. Memories are a special commodity! Delighted you enjoyed the video.
Cheers,
Graeme 🙂
